I’ve been using Diane 35 to manage my acne, but since I’ve been on it for quite a while, my gynecologist decided to switch up my prescription and put me on Logest instead. Now, looking at the fine print on the packaging, I see that acne is actually listed as a potential side effect. Is it really possible that my doctor made a mistake here? Logest contains 0.075mg of gestodene and 0.020mg of ethinyl estradiol, whereas Diane 35 is formulated with 2mg of cyproterone acetate and 0.035mg of ethinyl estradiol. Thanks so much in advance for any insight you can provide!
My mother had several gastroscopies years ago at a major public hospital in Chicago, and she always said they were absolutely grueling. It actually terrified her so much that she refused to go back, even when her ulcers became life-threatening. Once the pain finally reached a breaking point, she decided to seek private care at the Keymaker Popijač clinic (near the Red Cross in downtown Chicago) to get a gastroscopy and a Helicobacter test. She paid about $167 for the whole thing, and she couldn't stop telling us how different it was from that previous ordeal at the public hospital. Now, I wouldn't say it was "comfortable"—nothing quite is—but it was incomparably less painful and far less irritating than what she endured before.
Honestly, you don't need two separate appointments; just book the one that covers the full examination. It’s possible they set it up this way to weed out those "patients" who call in just to snag an open slot without any real intention of actually showing up, especially when their primary care physician has no plans to refer them anywhere in the first place.
I honestly don't even know how to put this into words... my mom is only about 112 pounds at 5'8", and she has legs that I could never dream of having, let alone achieve myself—and she’s 55! And what does she eat? Honestly, if I tried to list it all, it would take me three separate posts just to cover her diet. Does she work out? Of course not. Does she spend a fortune on anti-cellulite creams or fancy skincare? Not a chance. It’s just one of those unfair twists of fate, I guess.
I hear everything you all are saying, and I truly get where she’s coming from too... if the scale had shown even just a couple of pounds less, she’d probably have that spark of motivation she needs right now. Instead, she feels like all her hard work has been for nothing, like the finish line is being pushed further and further away every single day.
