My dad was just diagnosed with a TIA. He’s already had a brain CT, an EEG, and an MRI—all clear, no damage found—but he spent a full week stuck in the hospital getting all those tests done. The episodes keep happening, though; sometimes he gets hit multiple times in one day, other times nothing at all.

The doctors are actually bringing up surgery as an option, even though his carotid arteries aren't narrowed by more than 50%. He’s on his prescribed meds, but honestly, I’m not seeing much of an effect—especially since it’s been over two months since that first episode (which we originally thought was a full-blown stroke).

I'm wondering if there are any other tests—maybe looking at different parts of the body that haven't been checked yet—that could potentially uncover something else?

I won't even bother sharing my full name—it’s pretty run-of-the-mill. But my last name is eleven letters long, and my sister? Well, our brilliant father gave her a nine-letter first name. That puts her at twenty characters total—there is zero chance she can ever sign her full name anywhere without looking ridiculous. She’d need size 4 font just to fit it all on the line.

Anyway, I live in an area where you constantly run into surnames that sound like a joke—names that almost feel like they were made up for a comedy sketch. You've got names like Smithson, Cook, Baker, or even something like Damage. 🤣

It gets weirder, too. Yeah, there are even names like Emptyhead, Housebreaker, or Riverrun—not to mention the rest of them. 😁

Basically, life isn't easy for people with those names.

Aside from my own, I’ve always had a huge soft spot for Italian anthems—and especially the South African anthem, Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika.

The way it's structured today is pretty wild—it has four stanzas covering the four most common languages in South Africa: Zulu, xhosa, Afrikaans, and English. It definitely makes it one of the most unique anthems out there.

It’s definitely Big Blue—I can practically feel the tremors today, and I know the feeling by heart.
