Yo La Tengo - Aselestine
Counting down the days until the new album drops next week. Honestly, I can't wait.

Henry Mitchell29 said:edit: by the way... does anyone else think Korn is just as much trash as Linkin Park, or maybe even more—or less—trash than them? 😁
I’d say they're slightly less bad. Plus, their whole vibe is different—Korn feels a bit more raw, whereas Linkin Park sounds kind of over-polished.

Richard Barrett53 said:It would’ve been great, but that ending? Not so much. Honestly, I felt like they threw in one twist too many.
Exactly this. That single twist was just overkill for me—though, granted, the movie was still a blast to watch. Surprisingly, I actually liked the setting even more than the first one, which caught me off guard. And the cast? Top tier. If they hadn't fumbled the landing at the end, I probably would've ranked it higher than the original.
Great social commentary, too. In my opinion, it actually lands better than something like The Menu, which I personally expected way more from.

The movie started out strong—really decent, actually—but then it just completely fell off a cliff toward the end. Such a letdown. It ended up being totally predictable and felt pretty shallow overall.

Signed. For me too—that bit just adds another layer to an already incredible movie.

Sure, sounds good to me.

Erdogan is basically the king of playing to the crowd. Just before the elections, he went ahead and dusted off this old rule where you can retire regardless of how old you actually are—as long as women have put in 20 years and men have done 25, provided they started paying into the system before 1999. But here’s the kicker: in Turkey, once you retire, you can actually keep working without facing any kind of penalty (they might even toss in a little bonus for retirees' mandatory contributions). Plus, you’ve got a legal right to a severance package from your employer—basically one month's salary for every year you worked. And get this—the government is going to subsidize companies so they can actually afford to pay out those severance checks for the 2.25 million potential new retirees who will probably just stay on the job anyway. ☕ It’s basically Universal Basic Income, the Turkish way.
