It’s just not true that Black people can't handle dairy—I mean, maybe some individuals struggle, but you really shouldn't paint everyone with the same brush. If anything, milk—freshly expressed, mind you—mixed with animal blood is actually a staple for several African groups, like the Maasai. Besides, pretty much any other animal will happily lap up milk; not every single species, obviously, but hey, give a cat a saucer and you'll see they aren't picky. 😁 The real kicker is that humans are the only ones who can access milk so easily. I mean, imagine trying to milk a cow or a goat if you were some other kind of animal. 😲 😁 Vegans skip it for moral reasons or because they don't want to fund the dairy industry, and then you've got those macrobiotic folks who just do their own thing regardless of what anyone else thinks. 😁
I’ve got Fiona Apple - Jagged Little Pill (plus some live tracks) on loop right now, and I'm almost at a state of total zen listening to Yo-Yo Ma Cello Blue.
So, I read somewhere that this movie was inspired by that story from the Miami fanzine Spotlight—which, by the way, I actually read about 6 or 7 years ago—and I was genuinely curious about how they’d pull it off. Then, of course, the whole thing turned into a massive scandal. Turns out, the guy basically just hijacked the script (totally without permission) that the original author wrote, and all he really did was swap out the setting—trading a concert for local demo bands for something with Dina Meyer—to fit his own "urban vision." 👎 Honestly, I’m skipping this one purely on principle. I’m rooting for them to actually film the original version instead, even though we all know that’s probably never going to happen. 😁If it pops up on TV sometime, maybe I'll give it a glance.

Wait, where did you even watch that? Now I'm actually curious—I really need to track that movie down somehow.
It’s gotta be Hero aka Yiong Xiong, then maybe Blade Runner, followed by Piano and Betty Blue—oh, and Tim Burton's stuff too. Then there's Big Blue, Sky over Berlin, Empire of the Sun, and The Lover. I might even throw in Titus and Merlin (98) if we're feeling adventurous. Man, there are just too many... no way am I picking just one.
Skinny Puppy? A friend of mine used to be obsessed with them—personally, I thought they were alright, but nothing to write home about. Then my guy goes and burns me a CD with Cult on it and I was just left 😲 It’s been ages since I’ve heard anything that good 🙏
Sadly, I think that's the only one like it. Man, if only they had made an entire album that 😢
