Sanctions on Russia in War in Ukraine ·

In reality, the guy respects Putko, the "strongest man" in the world, and if he is receiving some kind of salary, it is probably just enough for a cheap sandwich.

And what exactly is the problem with that?

The era of the nation-state is over. Humanity as a whole is moving toward corporate control. As individuals, we rely on corporations to deliver our gas, electricity, water, and so on. You buy the things you need to survive from corporations, not from the government.

When someone like Elon Musk drops billions on Twitter—billions that could arguably end world hunger or stop the war in Ukraine overnight, billions that dwarf our entire GDP... well, some of us are smart enough to see it.

So, honestly? I'd much rather have cheap gas and electricity and live like a normal person than pay ten times more just to uphold certain ideals.

Dreaming about some "green transition" while pushing millions of people into poverty... only someone completely lacking empathy would do that.
I’ll be honest, I’m really not a fan of this new tire shape at first glance. And what they’ve done to the racing flow is just concerning; during those first six or seven minutes, you had maybe twenty cars spread out on the track, but now? It feels like nobody is even there... I can't help but wonder what happens if there's an accident at a circuit like Monaco with this kind of spacing. You get a red flag to clear the debris, and then suddenly, no one will have any chance to actually set a decent lap time... it's just frustrating, really.

Working in IT, I can say the whole hacker aesthetic and all that tech stuff is fine, but...

To me, the movie just suffers from much deeper issues—it’s slow, honestly. It was just boring and unengaging. I couldn't bring myself to care about the quasi-romance at all, let alone Hemsworth's character. Come on, it's supposed to be this great love story? If I were him, I’d have probably just slept with her the second I got out of prison... And then there's the villains. At the end, they're chasing money, even though they have enough hacking power to manipulate the entire stock market—which is exactly what they do in the film anyway—to get rich. I found the motivations for everyone in this movie either completely nonsensical or just plain idiotic. Or maybe the film was just so tedious that I ended up half-ignoring the plot, even if it actually did try to establish why anyone was doing what they were doing somewhere along the line.

Wait, when did this come out? I haven't seen anything about it playing in theaters anywhere
Honestly, all this complaining about the movie... what exactly were you people expecting from a movie based on a comic book? Clearly, absolutely nothing. But seriously, not one single person here has actually read a Captain America comic. If you had, you’d realize that out of everything, Captain America is probably the most faithful adaptation ever brought to the big screen.
It honestly cracks me up when people try to lecture everyone here about ratios or the morality of taking out Nazis. Look, kids, this is an American movie based on an American comic book from an American publisher called Captain America.

Because of that, you should probably watch this film as a way to just zone out for two hours or whatever, rather than treating it like some deep philosophical treatise or a piece of American propaganda. The title itself screams propaganda; I don't quite get why anyone would bother watching it just to come here and complain about it afterward.

Just take a look at the other movies from the same studio (Thor, Iron Man, etc.) and tell me those aren't meant purely for entertainment and nothing else.
