I honestly can't tell if these one-year extensions are about a player wanting to finish a legacy or just a team trying to avoid a long-term commitment. It feels like the "ride or die" era of sports is basically dead. What do you guys think—is the single-year deal the new norm for veterans?

Motherboard's dead. Or so the guys at the repair shop said, since I ended up having to haul it in there. Now I'm stuck choosing between hunting down a new board or just buying a whole new laptop. Such a waste of parts, too—this thing isn't even two years old yet.

Speaking of which, I saw someone on Craigslist selling a motherboard, but it was for the 7250 model, and mine is a Dell Inspiron. Do they even work in the same way? If they do, I might grab it.

Come on, hit me with some more advice :3

Doubt it. She showed me where she got it—went straight to their site and grabbed the specific version for her exact laptop model. So, probably not that. I dunno.

Yeah, that’s exactly the issue. It powers on, and... nothing. Fans spinning, lights on, but the screen is pitch black like it's dead.

Tried what you suggested, just didn't leave it running long enough. Tried the Fn+Esc trick too. Total bust. 😢

If that doesn't work, is there any other way to reset the BIOS, or is this laptop basically ready for the trash? Can we tear it down and try a manual CMOS reset?

First off, thanks to everyone willing to jump in and help 😬

So, my sister was messing around with her Dell Inspiron, running some driver updates straight from their site. She went ahead and updated the BIOS (V 1.10) too, and now the damn thing won't even boot properly. Like, when she hits the power button, you hear it kick on and the lights go up, but the screen is just... dead. Not "black screen" dead, but totally unresponsive. I read somewhere that the BIOS is fried and needs reflashing.

I already tried all the basic crap—pulling the battery, holding down the power button, trying to burn a BIOS boot CD, even tried flashing via USB, but nothing works. Is there anything else I can try before I just give up and send it to a repair shop?

Before we get ahead of ourselves with all these massive crossovers, maybe DC should just focus on themselves for once—actually making decent movies, solid stories, and giving the characters some actual depth. ☕

I mean, sure, every one of these fights would probably look incredible on screen, but still.

It’s pretty wild how he’s actually taken down Batman in a fistfight a few times. Plus, the guy is easily the top assassin in the whole DC universe.
I’d love to see a movie where he’s actually the main antagonist for Batman.

Theoretically, he’s gone head-to-head with half the heroes in DC, so he could pop up in basically any movie. Personally? I’d throw him at Green Arrow (like they did in the show), or maybe make him part of the Injustice League if he even shows up on screen. Pushing him against Batman might be overkill—Batman already has plenty of killer storylines and villains that would work perfectly on film without needing more.

Alright, movie-wise? It's gotta be Batman. Tim Burton's Returns and Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins. That's basically my top tier right there. ☕

Not gonna lie, I can't exactly brag about DC's track record with adaptations (looking at you, Batman & Robin). Fingers crossed Man of Steel actually turns things around. I'm really hoping this is the spark that kicks off a proper DC cinematic universe and leads to more good stuff soon.

As for actual superheroes, Aquaman is my guy. I grew up watching those old-school cartoons on VHS, so he's been a staple since I was a kid. I'm just praying they bring him to the big screen sometime in the next decade. At the very least, if he doesn't get his own solo flick, he needs to be part of the Justice League. 😬

Honestly, seeing The Flash would be killer, maybe even a sequel or a reboot for Green Lantern. And obviously, Justice League. 😁

Man, I’d throw Daredevil on that list too. It always bugs me how much they botched the adaptation. With a decent script, that movie could've been legendary—think along the lines of The Dark Knight. But since Marvel's got the rights back now, maybe we'll actually see a proper reboot in our lifetime.

As for bringing someone back? Anything can happen. Seriously, anything. Fans are absolutely livid about "erasing" Parker. So, if they really insist on this path where Parker is gone, fine—at least bring back Ben to appease the crowd for a bit. It might be interesting for a hot minute, but let's be real: Parker is the one and only Spider-Man.

Not sure how much you follow the current run, but it's not that he turned into Octavius—it's that Octavius turned into him. Long story short, this has been building for a while, leading to a point where Parker doesn't even exist anymore. It's just Octavius living in Parker's body. 🙂

I read Spider-Man religiously, and man, I’m struggling with this. I really hate what they did with the character. It started out super controversial, too. Honestly, I’m crossing my fingers that we see Ben Reilly pop up again—that's the dream, and there are some hints pointing his way. Plus, reading this new Spider-Man stuff just makes me like the current Scarlet Spider, aka Kain, even more.

That’s the whole damn point. You gotta find a solution, but there isn't some magic one-size-fits-all answer. It varies depending on who you are. For one guy, it's his career; for someone else, it's something totally different—just whatever gives them a sense of purpose. And honestly, the worst part is when you fall into that rut, turn into a total robot, and just hit a wall. I get it, it's a nightmare when you can't see a way out or find anything positive to actually keep you moving.
