i totally get that... low blood pressure just hits you out of nowhere... everything starts spinning and I have to go stumble off somewhere for a second.... the absolute worst part is when I wake up and I'm just lying there in bed and the whole room starts revolving...
So, she was adamant about skipping the birth control because she’s terrified of putting on extra weight... Then there's her other sister, who actually is on them because she deals with PCOS... and honestly, ever since she started, the hair growth has been a real struggle for her. She’s currently on Diane-35... though I’ve heard through the grapevine that Yasmin might be a better option. I tried my best to talk her into switching over to Yasmin... but she just won't budge. And now, it feels like nobody can catch a break.
I honestly don't get why parents wouldn't step up and offer support... that's just awful. Especially since, from what I understand, thyroid issues are usually genetic. Correct me if I'm wrong there, but it can definitely be passed down from a grandmother to a grandchild. It’s like how one of my friends was warned when she was little to keep a close eye on it, and sure enough, she ended up dealing with all those complications. My own mom has thyroid struggles, too. My sister and I both went in for checkups recently, and we're perfectly fine, though if we ever decide to have kids, they'd probably need regular screenings just to stay ahead of things. I'm rooting for you and really hope you get through this.
So, I got hit with it yesterday... just this constant, dull ache that won't quit on me... haven't taken anything yet... maybe I'll just grab some Tylenol later. My sister is dealing with these absolutely unbearable pains... and honestly, even standard over-the-counter stuff doesn't touch it; she really needs to get an injection just to find some relief. She went to see her OB-GYN and everything checked out fine, though the doctor did mention seeing signs on the ultrasound of some old ovarian inflammation from way back. She’s also incredibly thin—stands about 5'6" but weighs barely 100 pounds. She actually struggled with anorexia about ten years ago. I’m just wondering how I can actually help her or what I should suggest, besides the obvious "please eat" advice. She's so stubborn and refuses to admit how bad it is. We're all reaching our breaking point here because every year it seems like she gets thinner and thinner (since she doesn't live here in the States)... she's 31 now. She's living on pain meds, but they just aren't doing the trick. Does anyone have any advice? I'd really appreciate it.
@ Walter Smith8, honestly any kind... since I was basically begging someone to just suggest an over-the-counter painkiller... and nobody said a word... so I just grabbed whatever I had lying around in the cabinet. Kept sipping on it constantly... and it actually did the trick, felt alright...
When your lymph nodes start swelling, it usually means you're dealing with a virus... antibiotics are really meant for bacteria. But here’s the thing—those viral attacks can totally wear down your immune system, which basically opens the door for all sorts of bacteria to move in and take advantage. So... taking those antibiotics isn't going to do much to clear out what's happening right now.
Ugh... I got hit with it yesterday and woke up in total agony this morning... honestly, that’s the absolute worst part. When the pain actually pulls you out of sleep? Not good. I had to spend the whole day running errands downtown, too, and I was just completely wiped out... totally drained. But I finally made it home, I've got my tea, and once this kicks in, I should be feeling a bit more human.
So... I noticed this thread is basically a gathering for almost every woman out there... so I figured I’d jump in too... Honestly, with the kind of intense pain I’ve been dealing with lately, there were moments where I genuinely thought I wasn't going to make it through the day... Then I discovered Voltaren Rapid was a total lifesaver... but now I can't even touch it because it makes me nauseous and just leaves me feeling terrible... Most of the time I stick to Advil, but even that's starting to lose its edge... I was actually seriously considering giving up on all these meds altogether... because as much as they help, they seem to take just as much out of me... you know? Like, one step forward, two steps back. And then there's the whole herbal route and tea thing, which you have to be so consistent with for a long time to actually see any results... but let's be real, most people don't have the patience for that; it's just easier to pop a pill and move on... but I'm at my limit with them... Does anyone know of a good herbal tea or something similar that helps ease the pain? Thanks!
