Mahjong Rules and How to Play in Miscellaneous ·
So, I just got this game all the way from China and—surprise, surprise—the instructions are only in German. All I’ve managed to figure out so far is that it’s a four-player game, but honestly, that’s about it.

Anyone here actually know how to play this thing?

I’ve actually switched to just taking half of a 100 mg pill at night. When I was doing the full dose every day, I felt exactly like you—just totally wiped out. One night, I actually ended up face-planting on the floor just trying to make it to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It completely knocks the wind out of you. Plus, I put on 55 pounds in just five months. Absolute madness.

Anyone here taking Lennon? Just curious about when you guys dose it and how much you're actually on. Also—has anyone dealt with any weight gain?

Twice. I was stuck in the hospital for three weeks both this time of year last year and again this year.
Serial Killers: Q&A... in Psychology ·
I was watching this documentary about serial killers the other day. There were two guys being compared—one who was a total sadist and loved torturing people, and then there was this one guy (I think his name was Dahmer or something similar).
That guy was basically like a kid who used to dissect live frogs and cats... he’d keep their bones and was just completely obsessed with death. When he hit his teens, he realized he was gay (which maybe isn't even relevant here). He ended up killing 17 men, but unlike the sadist, he didn't really get off on the torture part—he’d usually just drug them or knock them out first, then go to work by shooting them, using acid, eating parts of them, or keeping organs in the fridge...

Once he got caught, he claimed he’d been lonely his entire life with nobody to talk to, and that everyone he cared about always left him. He actually thought—which is obviously totally psychotic thinking—that if he ate their organs, a piece of those people would stay with him forever. And the crazy thing? The guy was perfectly average intelligence.

He even wrote a confession that was about 150 pages long... in which he admitted he knew what he was doing was wrong but just couldn't stop himself...
Btw, at the trial, they actually found him to be legally sane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is hands down the wildest part of the whole story.

The last thing he ever wrote was: "If I had stayed with Bogo, none of this would have happened."

And now I'm sitting here wondering:

1. How did absolutely nobody around him notice he was a freak? Like, why didn't anyone react to him gutting animals in the neighborhood? I can't buy the excuse that his teacher didn't notice he was different—especially since neighbors later said he was super weird and withdrawn and all that...

2. Could any of this have been stopped if he'd just gone to a psychiatrist, a priest, or literally anyone else and said, "Look... I'm fantasizing about death, I'm obsessed with dead animals, I'm dissecting them, I'm keeping their bones... HELP ME!!!!!"

But honestly, when you live in some tiny rural town, I guess that's almost impossible. It makes you wonder how people would even react. I feel like we all have that aggressive side to our personalities—it's just suppressed in most people, while for others, it's way more intense.
How do you find your purpose in life? in Psychology ·
I honestly wish I could start some kind of revolution—just to show everyone that life is actually pretty great, regardless of what your paycheck looks like... You just have to find that one thing that truly lights you up!

It’s wild, but even this serial killer once said: “That was the thrill for me. That first murder made me feel like I’d finally found my purpose in life. By the thirtieth one, it felt like just fixing a cabinet. So, I started torturing them because that’s where the joy was!” I mean, seriously?! The guy actually thought he found his calling!!!!

And... please, don't go thinking I'm some kind of total freak or that I'm actually rooting for him....

But there’s a grain of truth in what he said (I'm a firm believer that you can learn something from anyone, even the dark stuff).

The real question is... how do you actually find what makes you happy?

Try looking back at what you wanted when you were a kid or maybe a teenager!! What did you love doing? (I don't know... sketching, writing, reading, jamming out to music... whatever it was)

Doing that really helped me. Though, I had to fight like hell to tune out everyone else's noise and realize how much people are just... drowning in their own fears. Honestly, I'm still working on it.

It’s hard to be brutally honest with people because most folks are so checked out—they don't even get it half the time.
What do you guys think?
