I checked the bed, the mattress, the rug—nothing. No sign of any bugs. Besides, the bites don't even look like bedbug bites, and they didn't even itch. It only happened one night, then nothing. Bedbugs wouldn't just disappear that easily, right? 😁
Nothing...
It only showed up once and was gone within a week.
Hey everyone. Something bit me overnight a few days ago. Now I’ve got a million tiny red marks all over my arms and legs—specifically everywhere my clothes weren't covering. Pretty sure they're bites and not just some random rash or allergy. They look like mosquito bites, except there's way too many for one mosquito to have sucked that much blood. My doctor took a look and basically said they look like mosquitoes and told me to just slather on some 🙂. Fast forward five days and the bites have shrunk and darkened, especially on my feet; they kind of look like tiny little blood clots now.
The weird part? They didn't even itch.
I've scoured my entire room, cleaned everything, vacuumed top to bottom, and found one pretty large spider. I'm starting to think that thing might have feasted on me... the thought of something crawling all over me all night is just gross 😢(
Anyone dealt with this before? Is this actually what spider bites look like?
The movie was a total snooze fest. What a waste of time...
So, what does it actually mean to just stop? How are you supposed to quit?
It’s not about being skeptical. If you're dealing with yeast or a bacterial infection, it usually boils down to an imbalance in your flora, a weak immune system, stress, or just bad habits—like using scented or plastic daily pads, wearing non-breathable underwear, eating too much sugar, or staying in damp environments.
And as for inflammation? That little beast is already living down there; it only goes rogue and starts multiplying when conditions get suboptimal. 🙂
The only real move is to ask a gynecologist because it could be anything, or nothing at all. It’s not exactly smart to play doctor with your own meds. Not if it were me...
Since you can't get to a doctor right now, maybe try an online consultation? There are some gynecologists who respond to emails or messages. Or just hit up a pharmacy...
Don't go popping pills if you aren't actually in pain. Not every woman deals with cramps, either. I almost never need them, and even when things get a little uncomfortable, I don't bother with painkillers.
Just grab any brand of pads you want.
Don't sweat it; everything is totally normal and exactly how it should be.🙂
If you're really dodging the OB-GYN, just look up some doctors online who answer questions, or maybe just shoot an email to a specialist even if you aren't their patient.
I mean, they wouldn't be selling it if it were some kind of biohazard, right? 😁 It’s gotta pass all those rigorous inspections and tests first.
My OBGYN actually suggested the ring because of vaginal dryness. Or maybe switching pills since I'm dealing with breakthrough bleeding...
Can you just stop taking birth control for a few months and then potentially switch to the ring later on if I decide to go that route? I'm planning on finding a new doctor and getting all my tests and swabs done, but I really don't want to keep grinding through these pills just to deal with all these side effects...

As for side effects, it’s always different for everyone. Something works wonders for one person and completely wipes out another. It just depends on which way the statistics swing for you. Some side effects come from the estrogen component—which stays pretty much the same in all pills, just the dosage changes—while others are tied to the progestin, which varies wildly from pill to pill. I don't know which specific component is causing your issues😢 but I'm guessing if you've tried several different pills with various progestins (the part listed alongside the ethinyl estradiol), you might run into the same wall with the patch too. Unfortunately, we don't really have mini-pills (progestin-only pills) available here in the US)
I was only on Yaz for seven months. I don't think it was strong enough because besides my regular period, I always get this week-long bleeding right in the middle of my cycle :/ For the first few months, my OBGYN told me it would level out once my body adjusted, but clearly, it didn't 🙂 I've been dealing with constant infections, vaginal dryness, pain, and zero libido...
That's why I'm scared to switch to something else. If the hormone dose is higher, won't everything just feel even worse?
I had a rough time with the pill—constant inflammation, hormones were too low, and my libido basically hit zero. So, I’m quitting... now I'm just wondering if switching to the ring is going to be more of the same? :/
You should definitely be able to find them at any local pharmacy; my OB-GYN recommended it to me. Not sure about the price, though...
It’s not even about comfort. I just can't stomach these pills I'm on right now, and my OB-GYN suggested this instead. Seems like the responsible move, right? Better to be "inconvenienced" than to deal with this...
Gin was my go-to recommendation too, but I’m curious—anyone actually have some real feedback or positive reviews? 🙂
