Man, I tried Cymbalta once and it just didn't sit right with me at all.
So, I've come to the realization that I'll be on two different medications for the rest of my life, though I suppose I'm not actually in any kind of misery because of it.☕
Kevin Bailey2 said:I’m also staying far away from Normaban and all those other anti-anxiety meds. I used to pop them here and there whenever a panic attack hit, especially during the early stages of starting Prozac. But once the Prozac actually kicked in, I cut the anxiety meds out completely. I don't need them anymore, and honestly, they just drain my energy too much.
Prozac is a killer. Just think back to the whole Prozac Nation era...🙂
Has anyone else ever dealt with a sister who refuses to hand over a new dose of normabel or some other medication? She just tells me, "You still have 19 days left, I can't give you more," which is just typical. 😳 I mean, I don't strictly follow the prescription every single day—sometimes I take a bit more than what's listed, and honestly, I don't see it being much of an issue. But I feel like I can't function without my normabel, and she’s just standing there blocking me... I swear, sometimes I get so incredibly frustrated I feel like I might actually snap at her just out of sheer nerves.🙂

Personally, I’ve been struggling through a full-blown addiction myself—it's a mess. What I can tell you is that your doctor is only there once every couple of weeks. What happens during those long stretches when you're stuck alone with your own head and the withdrawals? -Believe me, it's a hellish road. It was so brutal that after I finally kicked my Oxycodone habit, the memory of it is burned so deep into my brain that I wouldn't dream of touching them again. I used to feel like jumping in front of a semi-truck just to make it stop. I'm not even exaggerating here.
I suppose people might think we're just trying to scare him, but I think you laid it out quite clearly. I went through detox for Xanax and methadone at a clinic over in Chicago, and the specialist there told me personally that the Xanax dependency can actually be even more brutal than the methadone one. Ugh, I can't really keep typing; it's my fourth day without methadone, I'm shaking uncontrollably, and it's summer outside. But don't worry about me, I'm a lost cause. 🙂
Larry Lewis said:Ah, okay—you're taking the standard ones. That explains everything. I thought you were on the VR, which makes a massive difference because those are supposed to be taken only once a day—at least, that’s what I’ve gathered from what people say.
As for me, I’m running 600mg at night and it’s actually fine. Sleep isn't an issue, and frankly, this works better for me than Serdolect, Zeldox, or any of the other stuff I've cycled through over the years. My only real gripe—the one nagging thing—is how incredibly difficult it is to drag myself out of bed in the morning.
Man, that Zeldrin! That stuff used to leave me barely able to stay upright; my eyes would just shut and I'd be out instantly... I couldn't help but notice you're on pretty high doses, though. It might get a little unpleasant for you when you eventually decide to taper off....
Larry Lewis said:How many milligrams are we talking about when you take that Seroquel xr—do you just knock the whole dose back at once, or are you splitting it up throughout the day?
I’ve been taking it three times a day; I split the morning dose in half, take the other half in the afternoon, and then finish off with the full 100mg at night.
I suppose I started out on 300mg a day—three 100mg doses—but that felt a bit too intense for me, so I adjusted my routine to this instead. It’s worth noting, though, that I’m not using the XR extended-release version, just the standard ones.
I’ve been taking Seroquel, and I suppose I should say it’s actually quite an effective medication, though it does come with certain quirks. For instance, I find myself drifting off mid-sentence—much like I am right now while typing this out. It’s almost instantaneous; one moment I’m conscious, and the next, I’ve just slipped away for a second, which is something I can't quite seem to control
Ugh, I finally managed to get some fuel in my system. Before this, I could barely even stay upright—my spine was absolutely killing me, and honestly, every single bone felt like it was aching. But now? I think I’m finally doing alright. 🙂
Honestly, I have to wonder how everyone else is managing to cope with this relentless heatwave. I’m asking because between all the various medications I’ve been taking lately, I feel like I’m sweating twice as much as usual, and my mouth feels perpetually parched. It seems like a constant struggle. If I have to step out for any reason, I feel an urgent need to carry something cold to drink with me, but then I run into that other annoying issue—how quickly the water just turns lukewarm in the heat.🙂
Justin Rogers5 said:No way. Not happening anymore. Getting off those meds was brutal.🙂 Spent an entire night in the ER puking and shaking like a leaf, seeing things that weren't even there. Honestly, I'd rather just have two beers or some Xanax to take the edge off, then just stay up on my laptop or the TV until morning. Winter makes everything worse—I don't work, I'm just stuck at home, and that’s basically a recipe for disaster.🤣
I haven't been following the thread too closely, to be honest, but I can't help wondering why you’re experiencing those hallucinations. Is this something new for you, or is it a recurring issue that you deal with from time to time? I suppose it might even be a side effect from some medication you've been taking lately...
Look, I’d suggest staying indoors if you can manage it, at least until around 6:00 PM. For those of you who aren't exactly the most cautious types out there, just be careful out there.😁
Kenneth Scott41, are those Seroquel pills actually messing with your head? It’s just that feeling where you start sensing you're getting weaker or physically run down.
Well, I definitely felt it at first, though I suppose it really depends on the dosage. Back when I was taking a hundred milligrams, I used to walk around feeling completely trashed, almost like I was drunk... but now, I don't feel a thing.☕
