Heh, I hit 50 immediately, totally solo without needing any extra anxiety meds or antipsychotics to hold my hand...

Alventa is basically the same thing as "my" Effexor. It’s easily one of the heavy hitters on the market right now—what they call fourth-generation antidepressants because of that dual action mechanism. You want me to shoot you over some info on it? I've got a little write-up, though it's in English.

I ended up hitting a massive serotonin storm after taking way too much Zoloft, which pretty much led to a suicide attempt. I’m doing okay now, thank God, but honestly, it pisses me off how many indifferent, incompetent psychiatrists are out there. They can look a potential suicide victim right in the face and just screw them over without even blinking. In my opinion, they should have their licenses stripped and be thrown straight into prison. Absolute bottom-feeders.

I’m currently on a cocktail of Velafax, Helix, and Loquen, and honestly, I haven't felt this good in forever. It’s wild how much your whole perspective shifts once you finally crawl your way out from the absolute hell that is clinical depression...

Linda Ross said:Doesn't it just pin you to the bed? How on earth are you actually functioning on such a massive dose? Personally, if I take even half of that—just 50 mg before bed—I am completely out of commission until morning; they just knock me out, so don't you find them incredibly sedating?

Swarovsy, what would you have done? Before I started taking this stuff, a friend handed me two of his own, and I can tell you quite plainly that they were the most effective sleep aids I've ever used, yet I can't seem to get my hands on them now because, frankly, I've never even heard of them being prescribed, and no psychiatrist in the US is going to write a script for something like that. 😢

No way, man, my brain receptors are just built different, totally bulletproof. I’m on a full-on treatment plan, eating well, I even passed my driver's test recently, and I have ZERO side effects. No dizziness, no drowsiness, nothing... I feel fine.

Man, Loquen has such a massive list of side effects that when I actually sat down to read the fine print, I nearly lost my mind—especially that terrifying part about how taking it long-term could lead to these uncontrollable spasms in your face and tongue...

Thankfully, I haven't dealt with any of that crazy stuff yet, even though I'm currently on 400 mg a day after starting out at a much higher 600 mg dose. Honestly, it feels like I've got some kind of supercomputer for a brain now, it's wild! 😁

Haha, well if that's the case, you're just as twisted for constantly riding my back, you absolute clown, ahahaha! 😁

Look, I didn't start anything, I'm just defending myself—bam, bam! 😁

Honestly though, I love my little monsters to death. What would I even do without them? Every kid needs a whole lot of love and attention, no matter how much they test you... 😂 😍

Linda Ross said:Good grief, what kind of issues are you dealing with? Honestly, there’s just no saving you. What on earth are you even reading if a girl can get under your skin simply by reposting things over and over? You really need to take a breath, maybe pop a stronger sedative, and either retreat into that little fantasy world of yours or look into checking into a facility like Sunnyvale—I suspect they’re always looking for people with nerves as frayed as yours!
Larry Howard8, don't you worry about a thing.

Haha, what a joke. I don't need the VA, honey. It’s pretty obvious something in my posts "stung" you since you're getting this offended. Maybe you should grab a drink to calm down and call it a night! 😁

Whatever, I honestly love you trolls. Even though you're constantly picking fights with me just to get a tiny bit of my attention, haha, I totally get it. If I were in your shoes, I'd be acting out too! Sending you a big kiss on the forehead, haha! 😁

Linda Ross said:Good grief, Robert Collins2, could you dial back the intensity just a little? Honestly, maybe go grab a glass of something soothing to take the edge off. You’ve completely lost the plot here; she simply came by to ask about people's experiences, so why on earth are you launching an immediate attack?

Listen, don't you try to lecture me. We aren't exactly best buddies, and honestly, Larry Howard8 has already driven both God and the devil crazy with those irrational ideas and that frantic typing of his...
Psychotropic medication discussion thread in Psychology & Therapy ·
So honestly, you might as well just stay home and wait out those six weeks while your irrational fears drive you absolutely insane, because clearly you don't think you need an anti-anxiety med, but I mean...

🤦
Psychotropic medication discussion thread in Psychology & Therapy ·
Good grief, you’ve already asked me that at least ten times... just because two things fall under the same diagnosis doesn't mean the meds are going to hit the same way. Honestly, it feels like your depression might just be hitting a whole new level of intensity right now, making everything feel even more heavy-handed than usual...

wanderingangler90 said:For me, Calixta only helped with calming me down for sleep on the very first night. I don't take it anymore. Now I'm using Ambien to help me sleep.

Oh, wow. So what, prayer, yoga, meditation, some weird parapsychology stuff isn't doing the trick for you?

😂 😂

Dormicum? You're talking about 15 mg of benzodiazepines? That’s basically the heavy-duty stuff doctors pump into patients right before they go under for surgery.

I mean, honestly... no comment. Just do me a huge favor and stop looking my way or tagging my name, "shaman." Thanks, buddy!

It's pretty standard for SSRIs to mess with your sleep or make insomnia even worse; the sedating antidepressant mirtazapine can be used in such cases.

You've actually got a killer article on Wikipedia here about MAJOR DEPRESSIVE DISORDER, definitely worth a quick read! 🙂

Look, I’ve been doing some serious work on myself lately, and honestly? I feel better than I ever have in my life. I really want you to experience that same feeling one day—that moment where you finally start actually living again instead of just existing—because trust me, getting your life back isn't some impossible mission. 🙂

Michael Reed45 said:Yes, I stopped. It wasn't just the weight gain; I was feeling terrible, so my doctor suggested switching medications...

Now I'm taking Nozinan instead. (My doctor always prescribes things that nobody else seems to use...)

Though, even the label says it can increase appetite, because I find myself constantly hungry again at night.

Man, I remember taking Nozinan back when I first started my treatment. I was popping it at night along with Helix and Loquen, and let me tell you, my mouth felt absolutely trashed—like someone had shoved a handful of dry sand in there and left it... thank God psychotherapy actually helped me deal with the insomnia, so I don't even touch it at night anymore. I even managed to scale my Helix down from 4 mg a day to just a tiny 0.625 mg dose.

velvetsailor26 said:To be honest, I’m probably not the best person to ask about this. My doctor actually told me she’d never run into a case quite like mine before. When I first started, I was taking 4 mg of Ativan, 75 mg of Effexor, and 600 mg of Luvox daily, and I didn't feel a single side effect—absolutely nothing at all.

Good grief... 4 mg of Ativan? How were you even functioning?
Were you actually making it to work or getting through classes on a dose like that?
I'm just asking because, personally, even 0.5 to 1 mg completely wipes me out.

Look, I'm telling you, ZERO side effects. I'm down to 0.625 mg of Xanax a day now, which means I've cut it by almost eight times in just three months...

I work, I drive, I eat, I sleep—everything's normal. I guess my brain receptors are just built different or whatever, but that's it. It's not like I'm some kind of Frankenstein or a junkie... 😁

Linda Ross said:That is precisely what interests me, because after taking Calisthenics, I gained 5 pounds in just two weeks; if John Doe has the same effect but causes less weight gain than Calisthenics, is there any truth to that? How is your appetite?
By the way, I was prescribed it for sleep issues; I spend my days playing Star Citizen, then take John Doe before bed, but it feels strange—as if my body is settling down while my mind remains in total chaos. It is as if I am successfully sedating my physical self without ever quieting my brain, which leaves me struggling to sleep because my thoughts simply refuse to settle...🤷 how has your experience been?

Honestly, I'm probably not the best person to ask about that. My doctor actually told me she’d never seen a case quite like mine. When I first started, I was on 4 mg of Xanax, 75 mg of Effexor, and 600 mg of Loquen daily, and I had absolutely ZERO side effects. Like, nothing at all!

Now that I've scaled down to lower doses, I feel amazing. I even managed to pass my driver's license test in the meantime... though God forbid they had actually run a drug test on me... 😁

Brandon Lopez6 said:So, what kind of reactions are we even supposed to be feeling?? 😕

(Honestly, I'm lost here... since this part is bolded... it feels the same to me.. I just assumed it was supposed to feel like this 🤷)

Look, if you're actually struggling with depression, the reaction is pretty damn obvious—it's getting your sleep schedule back on track, watching that constant anxiety and apathy just vanish, finally feeling actual emotions again, and having your social life feel normal... it's literally like someone lifted a hundred tons of weight off your chest that was crushing you every single day...

Linda Ross said:Has anyone here actually had any experience working with Loquen?

I’m currently on a cocktail of Lockheed, Vax, and Helix—got diagnosed with F-35.2

Honestly, I haven't really dealt with any side effects from the Lockheed side of things, just a tiny bit of weight gain. But since I managed to drop 8 pounds thanks to the depression, I guess I’ve just ended up right back where I started...
