And look at this, moderator Hannah Davis18 kicking a fashionista off the thread:

Then Hannah Davis18 starts mocking her...

I wonder if any of the admins will actually step in...

Good Lord, what a statement 🤣.

Here is a prime example of how Hannah Davis18 moderates:

Nex posts total nonsense in the thread and gets away with it, yet Hellene replies and gets a yellow card... unfair, perhaps?

Furthermore, Hannah Davis18 is being snarky here:

but then hands out a red card to Despine's response:

Unfair, perhaps?

If you look at the end of the thread: it’s obvious the moderator is trolling, yet she hands out cards to others for the exact same thing. Unfair, perhaps?

Calling her a good moderator? There have been endless examples like this since she started moderating...

"Lincoln" shut down the thread without actually dealing with the trolls or the users who were attacking 👎

I'm standing by this. I'd appreciate it if an admin could step in and deal with the trolls, insults, and constant mockery here... ☕
Paying out of pocket for a gastroscopy? in Health ·
Ronald Jackson6 said:Wait, you guys are actually getting gastroscopies done under general anesthesia? 😲

I went through mine at a private clinic, and honestly, I wasn't even mentally prepared for it. They basically just guided me to the table, didn't even bother spraying my throat, had me lie on my side, open my mouth, and boom— 😁
done in about a minute. The nurse was incredibly sweet, and the doctor kept coaching me on how to breathe. I did have a bit of a gag reflex at first, but once the tube settled a little deeper, it passed... $67 btw, it wasn't anything scary. My eyes watered a tiny bit, but that was probably just from the nerves. 😁
I would never go through the hassle of being put under for something so minor, let alone paying a premium for it.

Some of us have medical reasons why we can't handle a gastroscopy without being put under 🙄. Besides, when it comes to health, I'll pay whatever it takes. I'm not so cheap that I'd skimp on something I physically can't undergo without sedation. Honestly, some people would rather die than spend a few bucks on a necessary exam...🙄

I recently went to Bates for a gastroscopy under general anesthesia, and the cost was $633. If you're doing it without the sedation, I'd guess it's closer to $250.
Breast lumps and pain: What should I know? in Women's Health ·
I first went in for an exam at 21 after finding a lump that turned out to be an abscess. That’s when they told me I had fibrocystic breast changes, so I've just been doing an annual ultrasound since then.

Angela Morales said:My oncologist suggested evening primrose oil after seeing my ultrasound results for fibrocystic changes, but I haven't tried it yet.😁

I have fibrocystic issues in my left breast, though the pain is pretty rare...

Never heard of evening primrose. My mother-in-law has been using it since she hit menopause and swears by it. I'm nowhere near menopause myself, but if it helps with the cysts, why not...🙂 Usually both breasts ache, especially during ovulation and those 4 or 5 days before my period hits. Then the pain gets so bad I can't even sleep...😢

I’ve been scouring the search bar for anything related to fibrocystic breast changes, but there’s almost nothing useful out there. It might be time to start a thread for those of us dealing with this month after month...

The reason I'm even posting is because of the pain. It's been hitting me for months now, and honestly, it feels like it gets worse every single cycle 😢. I heard somewhere that I should cut back on caffeine since it supposedly makes everything more inflamed. If anyone has any actual advice on how to get through those worst days... please share 🙂

Sandra Parker3 said:Go ahead and report a post if you think someone crossed the line, but just report the signature 😵

Why not? Rules apply to everyone equally, right? Why should I waste half an hour scrolling just to find some genius who decided to write an entire poem in their signature... 😕

Reporting both of them. If they actually penalized people for using those massive, moronic smiley faces, I’d be busy reporting the entire Wedding and Pregnant Woman subforums... 🙄

briskbadger8 said:You realize there's really only one spot in Vienna where you can get the genuine article. Did you ever try it at this place www.sacher.com? And was it dry, or actually decent and moist?

Yes, I stayed at the Sacher Hotel.

I used to pick up Sacher cakes there quite often.

No, they weren't dry...

Speaking of Sacher cake... honestly, unless I'm actually at the Sacher in Vienna, I haven't found a single version that even comes close 😢

briskbadger8 said:Vincennes isn't really a gold standard for taste, though—most of their stuff relies on pre-made mixes because they wouldn't have the time to whip up creams from scratch. There are plenty of much better, higher-quality bakeries out there, they just aren't as big-name as Vincennes. I won't list them, though—wouldn't want to turn this into a free ad campaign.

No point in naming names. When I was hunting for someone to make an ice cream wedding cake, Vincennes was the only one who didn't blink. Every other small-town bakery acted like I was asking them to fly a cake in from South Africa🙄. Not to mention how some of those "boutique" shops offered wedding cakes that looked like basic sheet cakes I’d whip up for a Sunday lunch at home👎.

Besides, Vincennes was the only one who actually offered me a cake with ice cream and white chocolate without that slimy, overly sweet fondant that always makes me nauseous at weddings. And somehow, miraculously, the cake stayed perfectly smooth... no cracks, no wrinkles...

I'm done with the obscure little bakeries. Every time I tried to negotiate a cake order, I walked out feeling genuinely stunned by how unprofessional and shallow the staff were...

velvetraven12 said:Forgive me... but grandmas just make much more delicate pastries than any professional bakery! 😉 Even if my restaurant didn't have to worry about all those strict FDA regulations, I’d still choose to source from a local lady running a small home business... not because of the price point, but because you can actually taste the difference in her treats. Commercial bakeries traditionally just use one single type of frosting for everything, so every single dessert ends up tasting exactly the same! 😛

Personally, the treats from Vincennes are great, and they actually have variety. Honestly, when I stop by, I can never decide which one to grab 😁. Though, nothing compares to Granny Smith's baking. She makes those dry jam bars in seven different shapes, making you think you're getting variety when really you're just breaking your teeth on the exact same recipe over and over again...

Found this review for Dolac Viti in a suburban city near a major metro, stumbled upon the link by accident...:

Maria Ramirez4 said:Anyone here ever dealt with a cake smothered in white chocolate? What’s the verdict? My husband and I want it covering the whole thing 😍 😍 😍

I'm definitely skipping the whipped cream, he can't stand marzipan, and honestly, neither can I 🤷
As for fondant... I was at a wedding this past Saturday where the cake looked artificial and plastic, even if it was pretty. I've got a photo at home I'll post later. The fondant layer was thick as a watermelon rind and way too sweet. Even the sponge was a disaster—so much sugar it actually tasted bitter 👎. The only saving grace was the filling: smooth, creamy, and chocolatey.
So, regarding fondant 👎👎👎

We had a white chocolate coated cake, but there was a paper-thin layer of fondant underneath just to give the chocolate some structure. Otherwise, it would have cracked in the freezer. All in all, the cake was delicious... 🙂

Arthur Anderson45 said:So, here’s my situation: I’m 20 years old and living in a pretty small town. I’ve always been someone with a ton of different interests—I’d call myself a bit of a Renaissance man, honestly—but the people I hang out with my age are just... well, they're kind of dim.
Like, when we go out, the conversation is nothing but mindless nonsense. It’s all just gossip, you know? "Did you hear what he said?" or "Where was she at what time?" It's just empty chatter that a driven young person wouldn't care about for a second.
To give you an idea of how shallow things get: if I asked any of them who Sigmund Freud was, they'd stare at me blankly. Honestly, most of them probably wouldn't even recognize Led Zeppelin unless I spelled it out for them! You might be wondering, "Man, where on earth do you live?" but it’s the truth. I can’t remember a single time I actually learned anything useful from hanging out with them.
The saddest part? They don't seem to have any drive at all. They just drift through life. From the day they were born until now, they haven't really grown or progressed even 5%. Don't get me wrong, they aren't bad kids, but they just have zero curiosity about the world.
So, I wanted to ask you guys: how do you spend time with your friends? Do you actually get into deep, meaningful conversations, or does everything just boil down to constant joking and teasing?
Sorry if this isn't quite the right place for this topic!

They don't know who Sigmund Freud is, and you clearly don't know how to spell... 😁
