He just doesn't care, basically. It's this super provocative and honestly pretty fun book by Grega Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo—you know, those famous American screenwriters who helped write the hit show Sex and the City. The whole thing is actually based on an episode from the series itself....
I picked it up at a newsstand for about $13—but ugh, after getting through two-thirds of it, I was so disappointed. 👎
Now I'm not even sure if I'd bother watching the movie.
So, the gist is that the entire book is just a collection of letters from unhappy women writing to Grega, and he replies to them, trying to explain how to better understand their men from a guy's perspective. But the answer to every single problem basically boils down to "he just doesn't care" and that the woman should just take charge the second she feels things aren't going her way, because hey, every woman deserves to be treated like a queen, right? 🙄 🙂
It's just so cliché! It feels so stereotypical American (like, these mantras keep popping up every few pages, like "I'm a total catch" 🙄 🤣 and stuff... I seriously can't wrap my head around how a movie is even supposed to look based on this! 🤔
The movie isn't nearly as mushy as the book sounds in the description, and the plot isn't quite the same either. Personally, I think it's worth watching, especially for women! 😛 🙂 Sure, some of the characters act incredibly stupid sometimes—especially the one played by Ginnifer Goodwin—but it's totally bearable since the whole movie doesn't revolve solely around her. Honestly, it's way better than most of today's "romantic comedies," if you can even call them that 😬, because half the time those movies aren't even funny.
