Chocolate with raisins is the absolute best. If you disagree, we can settle this outside 😁

I’d go with a Metallica shirt. But make it a women's cut.

I actually brought up Gianni Rodari a few dozen pages ago😬. Such a great writer. And *Cake in the Sky* is a classic🙂

William Saroyan too. Every single one of his stories is gold. 😍 😍

Exactly!! Thank you so much 🙂 I honestly thought I was the only person who had ever read this book 😁 ... I absolutely loved it. 🙂

(Sigh, turns out he isn't an American author...)

Sandra Chase16 said:I completely fell for those kids' books two years ago—I actually bought Polar, Thin Brush, and Amber Telescope.🙏 🙏 🙏

Oh, absolutely brilliant! I spent two whole years waiting for them to finally release Amber Telescope... but honestly, those books sat right there in my library alongside the adult fiction.😬

Do you have them? You'll have to let me borrow them sometime; I’m dying to reread them.

Yeah! Timpetill—the town without parents!!! 😍 And no, William Saroyan didn't write it. 😳

🙂

She wasn't actually living on an island; she was just building her own little island in the pantry.

stressee said:I think it's written like this: Ernest Hemingway (I have a book somewhere titled "I love you")

Yeah, but that specific title isn't actually in his bibliography 😢 looks like my memory failed me... I know I've seen that book though... damn

And this island? It was written by an American author 😁

Honestly, I liked Old Yeller way more than Bambi 😳

Look, unlike Sandra Chase16, the school librarian was actually my best friend. 😁 😳 Even now, I can picture exactly where everything sat on those shelves. Anne Frank was right there as soon as you turned right 🙂 and Erich Kästner was over on the left. 😁

We’ve already chatted about our favorite childhood books on this forum 😁

There are two specific ones I’m hunting for. One is that rebellion story—what was it called? It’s the one where the kids take over, but it isn't Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... it had red covers 😁. I think it's by the same author who wrote *I Love You, Mom and Dad, You're Crazy*. Those were always sitting high up on the third shelf, right across from the window 😁. And then there's that other book I just can't wrap my head around the title for... something like *My Private Island*? The kid builds his own little island in the pantry with cardboard palm trees and sand and everything... anyone remember?
Well, isn't that just precious 🙂 🤣

Nice one.

That's what my girlfriend told me. And that wasn't even a concert, it was an Album Leaf show. Stop trolling.

My highly trained nose didn't miss a single scent, by the way.🤔

The main thing is that someone 😬 left a full bottle of wine with Daniel Bailey7 every five minutes to watch over, only to totally forget about it. 😁

I’ll just say I haven't worked up the courage to look at the photos from that concert and party yet. Honestly, I hope I never do. 😁 But man, it was a blast. 😁

I love weddings, no matter how they turn out. It’s all about your attitude. Maybe one day I'll actually enjoy looking at the pictures.

Honestly, I have no idea how you guys managed to score that much cheap beer. I seriously thought that stuff from the festival kit was some kind of exclusive, limited edition vintage...

Anyway, I had an absolute blast. The headliners were solid, Kid Kong's energy was insane (from the second row), and since I only caught one set by Edward, he was great too. But the Atheists—who were actually the main reason I went—were incredible... I managed to catch them pretty well, especially considering how loud everything gets at the Spider Fest, though I spent my time jumping between the second row, the middle, and right behind the stage before ending up back in the crowd.

The highlight was when I got distracted and ran into a lost friend. She tried to drag me toward the front to start moshing, but I kept whining that I’d already seen the whole thing, that they hadn't even started playing yet (my favorite line)... then, right at that exact moment, they started playing. 😍 I felt like such an idiot! 😁

Kid Kong had his shirt unbuttoned a bit 😁 but it was awesome. 😁 It didn't feel quite like a typical Bruce Springsteen show, which actually made it even better. My only gripe was those kids standing next to me in the second row, screaming about how much they wanted to hear Edward.

During Edward's set, I headed outside to wander around and catch up with friends, then drifted back in for No Worries, which is actually 😬 one of my favorites. They played that one song, and then the Atheists came on 😍—by the time the Lieutenants were playing, I was in a totally different dimension and slowly started heading home.

It was freezing over at the festival cafe, though that other room was pumping. I didn't really check out the cinema area. The crowd size was perfect, too. One great thing about the Spider Fest is that there are way more women there than at any other festival, I think. 😁

What am I supposed to do, buy a vinyl record and turn it into a hat? 😛 btw the cover for the second album is gorgeous. And the first one too.

Man, I remember back when I used to rack up something like two million posts on beautiful sites like this.

btw, in the meantime, I’ve actually started seriously loving Liars.🙂

Give me a break. Honestly, just kick Edward out already; he won't listen to anyone. 😬
