What’s the deal with this countdown?

Write away, just like that.

Max is lucky if he grabs three spots on the grid, let alone ten.

I mean, I hate to admit it, but seeing a Red Bull Racing car smashed into the wall was actually pretty satisfying. Even if they were clearly in the wrong, there’ll be plenty of chances to mess up again tomorrow.

Why does Perez always end up crashing like this? Why isn't it Max... it just feels totally unfair.👎

I wouldn't say he was half a second back, considering he actually clocked a better time in Q2.

We’ve got a new tape, Pierre Gasly🙂

Pretty intense FP3 session, considering we're dealing with the streets of Monaco.

If he keeps this up, the only way he’s driving a Mercedes is if he buys it himself.
What a joke, calling Gasly an option...

It’s probably about time we said goodbye to Daniel Ricciardo.
I’m betting both he and Pierre Gasly are out once this season wraps up. As for Gasly, I’m pretty sure he’s gone unless something massive changes.

Sure, losing five or six races won't strip him of his #1 status at Mercedes overnight, but if this keeps up all season, Russell might actually become the new #1.

If Mercedes gets their act together, Lewis will go right back to his usual mood.
Things have just lined up for Russell; he's the new guy, he's hungry. When your teammate is a 7-time world champion, you're going to be looking for any chance to prove yourself.

Russell’s driving has been solid, and I'll admit, he surprised me a bit, but I don't think this gap is as real as it looks.

I can get where Lewis is coming from, even if he is being a bit difficult with guys like Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda.
He might have already checked out for the season. Toto can say whatever he wants, but the chances of them becoming true contenders again are pretty slim.

Yeah, that idiotic rule where the last race counts for double points.
Honestly, that’s just one of those bigger sports absurdities if you ask me. 🤦🙏🤣🤣

I can't help but feel like Lewis Hamilton is just totally unmotivated lately.

If they don't actually make some real progress with the car, nothing is going to change.
George Russell needs to step up and start fighting; he has to prove himself.

It's pretty obvious Hamilton is having a bit of a mental breakdown right now.

Toto just called his car undriveable.
What is he actually getting at here?
Shame about the rain. It was impossible to tell if Mercedes actually messed up or if they just didn't do enough.
The car is still bottoming out. I can practically hear the floor scraping the asphalt every time they hit a bump. They’ll probably get it sorted by tomorrow or right before the race, though.

Honestly, it boggles my mind how easily they wave those red flags around.
Lando Norris stood there in the sun for maybe ten seconds before they immediately went throwing a red flag. The guy just casually strolled back to his car about half a minute later like nothing happened.

Qualifying just got pushed back by two freaking hours. Are you kidding me?
I've got this nagging feeling they’re going to pull out again.
They’re showing up 18 pounds lighter, which means they had to sacrifice something somewhere.
Honestly, it feels like a massive gamble on their part.
If Max doesn't step up his car management this race, we're probably looking at a total repeat of last time.
Just realized we’re stuck with another crappy sprint. Honestly, just give me that lame 🤦

ruggedcyclist56 said:I mean, look at him—he’s hardly making any mistakes (not that Lewis Hamilton hasn't had plenty this season), and he’s only been at Mercedes-AMG for a few months, yet he's already routinely outclassing a teammate who's been there for years... But hey, sure, keep telling yourself that if it helps you sleep. 🙂

What "big mistakes" is Hamilton even making?
It's a new era with new cars; there are a hundred different variables at play here.
Some drivers adapt to the car faster than others.
Calling it routine dominance after just three races and a nine-point gap? Let's not get ahead of ourselves and manufacture drama where there isn't any.
I'm not going to go back and forth over such trivial nonsense.
Is he actually the better driver? He’s already 9 points ahead after just three races.
Today was the season finale.
Which idiots am I forced to quote this early on a Sunday morning?
Where do these bottom-feeders even come from after eight years?
Hamilton was top-tier today—nothing more, nothing less.

2. Russell
5. Hamilton

It's only been three races so far.👍
Elsewhere, things seem to be looking up; this isn't looking too bad.
Too bad they didn't bring the upgrades for this race to get them ready for Imola... but clearly, they ran out of time.
