The first photo was taken on October 28th, while the second is from today—this is how things look after a month
Hi there.
Here’s my situation: back on October 28th, I broke my left pinky—specifically a fracture of the middle phalanx. After wearing a splint for ten days, I went in for a follow-up on November 7th, where they diagnosed a mallet finger and gave me an orthotic brace, though nobody bothered to order new X-rays at that point. By November 17th, it seemed the brace wasn't actually doing much, and they started hinting at surgery, though they suggested sticking with the brace for another two weeks first. Well, I went in for another checkup today—after deciding to just go get my own X-ray beforehand—and things turned into a mess. The imaging showed the bone fragments have shifted, so instead of just a mallet finger, my finger is now visibly crooked. I have to meet with a surgical board this Monday to decide the next steps, but the doctor I saw today (it seems I see a different specialist every single time) isn't actually recommending surgery, as he thinks it might not even fix the issue. I guess I'm just wondering what to do. If they suggest surgery on Monday, does that even make sense?
That sounds like a solid plan to me...👍
I wonder if those of us holding an old American Express can just request the redesigned version for free. They sent me a new one back in February because my previous one expired, but this one feels identical to the old design... I turn 27 in June, and I was told I could keep using the American Express until the expiration date on the card hits.
I've been using the JPMorgan Chase index package for quite some time now. I turn 27 this June, and I just received an email stating that my access to the index package benefits expires on June 30th, after which I'll be transitioned to standard client status. Given that I'm still technically a full-time student, I wonder if there might be any way to extend the student package benefits for a bit longer.
Hi there... I’m 26 and just got my total IgE results back. It came in at 111, while the cutoff is 100. Interestingly, the specific tests for dust mites, grass pollen, cat dander, and dog hair all came back at 0. From what I gather, there’s some kind of allergy present in my system, but I haven't identified the trigger yet. What does a total IgE level actually signify, and is there any way to lower it? Thanks.
A few days ago, my boyfriend started feeling some tooth pain. He thought it might just be his gums, but apparently, one of the roots is dead. His dentist opened the tooth up and claimed she could see that one root was fine while the other was dead, though she didn't actually take an X-ray. Once she closed it back up, the pain seemed to get a bit worse. She prescribed some antibiotics and told him to come back in a couple of days, saying it should start feeling better soon. I guess I'm wondering what we should do—is it worth seeking a second opinion? It feels a little strange to me. Shouldn't she have taken an X-ray before opening the tooth in the first place?
Thanks

Is it possible to add a foreign currency account to my student package after the fact? I’m already using the student plan, but I find myself needing a foreign currency account now. I’m just worried that if I open one, they might claim it doesn't fit the student bundle and start charging me full price for everything. I guess I'm just unsure if adding it will mess up my current rate. Thanks.
Here’s the situation: someone owes me money and a garnishment has been issued. I already received one payment. After waiting for the next installment, I went to the Treasury to ask why nothing has arrived if the debtor has already received their pension. They told me they don't actually see the account balance; they just wait for the bank to signal whether the pension has hit. This involves a USPS-affiliated bank where the debtor receives their funds, and they’re claiming that until he opens a protected account, the money won't go to me, nor can he touch it—it just sits there. I don't understand this specific quirk of this bank. If they're waiting for him to open a protected account before I get paid, how did I receive the first payment? In any other bank, if you haven't set up a protected account, the garnishment just pulls everything, but here it seems like the money is sitting in the account while the garnishment isn't being executed... As the injured party, what should I do? I'm worried that waiting indefinitely won't get me anywhere. :|
dustyfalcon8 said:There aren't any other garnishments. I actually received one payment about a month after my account was frozen, since that shows up on the escrow account first. My Social Security hit the account a few days ago, so I guess I'm just wondering when I might see funds back in my main account again...

If someone owes me money and they're currently under an enforcement order, will I see those funds hit my account as soon as their pension is paid, or is there usually a delay? The enforcement is being handled through the Federal Reserve and became legally binding back on October 25, 2012.
Mark Taylor3 said:I’ve got an American Express through my student package, and it says the maximum spending limit is $667.
Does that mean I can't buy a single item worth more than $667, or is it saying the total monthly installment amount can't exceed $667?
The total value of the item shouldn't exceed...
When you open a student account, does that $333 overdraft limit kick in right away, or do you need to wait for a few deposits to hit the account first? I think at Chase, it’s available immediately...
