and honestly, I don't get why everyone's hating on Braveheart so much. if you think it's some huge failure compared to other Oscar winners, just look at Titanic and 🙂

Why Titanic? Just remember Brokeback Mountain (if that's how it goes).

I might end up getting banned for spamming or being offensive—honestly, I’m prepared for that—but there was just no other way to say this.

What is that even supposed to mean?

I guess Quentin Tarantino just makes boring movies. He tries to act like his stuff is high art, but I don't think it really is.

Does anyone actually know what art is?

To me, art is those cliché movies that just grab you and won't let go until the credits roll. That's real talent, I suppose.

And who cares about Rocky? Rocky is a masterpiece. If they still made movies like Rocky today, maybe I'd actually head to the theater once in a while.

Maybe simple movies like Superman, Batman, Conan the Barbarian, Terminator, Deadly Weapon, Rambo, Die Hard, Predator and all those Arnold Schwarzenegger (and similar) action flicks will draw more people in. They tend to get watched over and over again by the same fans.

I mean, the proof is right there in how many remakes or sequels they make of the popular titles you were just trashing. It seems like that's the only reason the film industry stays afloat.

A movie probably needs a great atmosphere to be successful. Without that, it just doesn't work. I can't even remember an anthology title from the last decade that stuck (maybe LOTR? though everyone's forgotten that too). Also, you need a good plot, humor, and actors with CHARISMA! Charisma is everything! Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and those other fighters (who are probably grandpas now) might not be the best actors when it comes to serious scenes, but they have way more charisma than someone like Robert De Niro, Brad Pitt, or Kevin Spacey. That's where the magic happens.

One last thing I always say—a movie is just a movie. You should probably just relax and stop nitpicking every little detail. And if you're looking for deep life lessons in cinema, maybe try finding them in real life instead.

Rocky🙏
Terminator🙏 🙏
Conan the Barbarian🙏 🙏 🙏

ACTION🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏

At least I'm not the only one who feels this way. Regarding Rocky, you hit the nail on the head, but calling Superman, Batman, Conan the Barbarian, Terminator, Deadly Weapon, Rambo, Die Hard, and Predator "stupid movies" is wrong—they are cult classics! As for Tarantino, he's just acting pretentious. Honestly, he should have been sent straight to Yellowstone back in '91 to see if he could even make a decent film then. He doesn't know how to direct a real movie; none of his films have any atmosphere. They're naive, they're dull, the plots are just "let me scream at you," and the acting is terrible—especially when he's acting himself. And he calls his stuff "action"? It's just people running around and killing each other; that isn't action! Almost every movie from the nineties was great (except for Tarantino's), but in this new millennium, I don't know which movies are actually good (aside from a few exceptions). Cult classics might be old, but I'd much rather sit down and watch Robocop than watch Kill Bill or whatever other nonsense. Tarantino is just proof that the youth of today is totally lost.

What does that even mean? I mean—you guys know my absolute favorite scenes from Tarantino—like when George Clooney gets blindsided in "From Dusk Till Dawn" and then he just goes WIIIIIIILD!🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

To me, they’re garbage—I just can't get into any of Tarantino's movies. It always feels like the only goal is to kill someone, and honestly, in Pulp Fiction, the only thing I actually enjoyed was the soundtrack. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit—Reservoir Dogs isn't exactly "trash," it's just a dumb movie in my eyes. And that guy Tarantino? He really gets under my skin; he acts like such a tough guy, but you can tell he's just a mama's boy. I mean, does he even have a single film where it isn't just constant killing? If Mel Gibson were still in his prime, he would absolutely demolish Tarantino—sure, he's older now, but back in the day? He would have crushed him.

Lisa Rodriguez84 here. Just taking a moment to catch my breath and check in with everyone... It feels like the week has been moving at a breakneck pace lately. I’m feeling quite optimistic about where things are headed, though... Everything seems to be falling into place just fine. Hope you're all having a wonderful afternoon... kaže:
Maybe we should just cut that in half... right? 😬

I don't really need it. He can just carry it around like that, it won't bother anyone at all... 😉

😬 Fire hydrant!
Those pockets are massive; what kind of pants even are these... 😁

I guess they're dressing up as clowns now.

Give me one good reason why Braveheart is actually bad—because if it is, it’s still better than Reservoir Dogs, and honestly, Mel Gibson would take Tarantino down in a fight any day.
Was Braveheart the worst Oscar winner? in Movies ·
Give me a break with you people and Reservoir Dogs—honestly, just leave Tarantino alone! Why can't we get back to making epic movies like Braveheart? It’s like people would rather dwell on trashy, divisive propaganda than appreciate true cinema. If this gets me banned, then so be it—my brain is clearly operating on a much higher level than yours anyway.

Honestly, go ahead and ban me—I truly don't care—but anyone claiming Braveheart is a bad movie is clearly losing their mind, and saying Reservoir Dogs is anything less than a masterpiece is just plain wrong.

Well, that’s just great—everything’s gone completely sideways now! Honestly, it feels like I just stepped on a Lego in the middle of the night—total chaos and a whole lot of unnecessary pain. Just my luck, really! image

Well, that’s just scandalous—talk about being caught with your pants down! image
Well, I’ll be—talk about being caught completely off guard! That was like watching a sudden summer thunderstorm roll over the Midwest without even checking the radar—total shock to the system, leaving everyone standing there a little damp and wondering what just happened. Honestly, I'm still processing it! image

The Boxer isn't some cowardly tool of violence when it is wielded for legitimate, defensive purposes, but its reputation has been dragged through the mud because it's primarily exploited by thugs targeting innocent, defenseless people. It is high time we put an end to that trend, perhaps simply by ensuring that law-abiding citizens are actually granted their fundamental right to self-defense...

I honestly think this thread should just be deleted—calling Braveheart a stupid movie is like saying when you poop, you eat crap; it’s just an absurdly false statement! Braveheart is an absolute masterpiece, and it’s right up there with Rocky, which was essentially the childhood defining moment for anyone who grew up back then (though I’m sure you wouldn't get that, being part of this MTV generation). As for Reservoir Dogs, calling it trash is just wrong, just like how people dismiss all of Tarantino's films.

I suppose you could just handle it yourself.

Exactly—it’s like saying you can’t bake a cake, so you might as well just whip up whatever flavor of ice cream you're craving right at home.

And with this—if you hit someone, I guess they aren't getting back up.

True, but you’ve gotta land that strike with serious speed—I personally prefer this style; imageyou won't see anything like it ever again.
In a year or two, we’ll be out there carrying the torch for our defense image--and honestly, I think we're more than ready for it!
Richard Thompson33 said:😁 total nonsense

Well, hey—don't sweat it! Honestly, even I have those moments where my brain just decides to take an unscheduled vacation—it happens to the best of us! image
Here’s the real deal—I actually built this thing myself from the ground up, and honestly? I’ve already learned a whole lot more than I expected.
Look, if you're just out there boxing and all that nonsense—honestly, if you want to actually crush someone, you should head over to a Shaolin temple and train some real Kung Fu! If you ever find yourself facing five guys at once, you’ll need that kind of power. Just look at Bruce Lee—the man single-handedly dismantled an entire Japanese Bushido school style. And hey, if you really want to get serious about weaponry, grab yourself a metal nunchaku.
image I’ll be the first to admit—this is definitely the primary weapon of choice here—but honestly, this one works just as well for keeping someone at a distance image , and as for this image? You could practically jam that right into their mouth.
