I was wondering, does the best man usually bring the cake? I’ve heard conflicting things—some people say he can, but it’s not a requirement, while others insist the godparents handle the cake and the best man just focuses on the gifts..😁
So, a new year has rolled around, and with it comes our latest batch of kids ready to make their big debut at church..
For those of you serving as godparents, what kind of gifts are you actually leaning towards? Obviously, the kid doesn't care or expect anything, but still..🤷
For instance, I picked up a watch for my little guy along with a Bible featuring a personalized message; I was thinking about tucking some $33 into an envelope too, plus a cake..🤷 (The ceremony is next weekend) I love the kid and he means the world to me, so I don't mind spending the money—plus, I grew up with his siblings, so we've been close since day one..👍..😍..
You don't really get it until you're in the godparent seat yourself. We always joke about how materialistic and pointless this whole thing is, yet here we are.. Truth be told, I’m not exactly rolling in cash, but you save up a bit here and there, and suddenly you've got something..
Anyway, my sister had her ceremony today as well..😍.. Naturally, she didn't ask for a single thing, but she ended up getting a gift card, a cake, a white gold necklace, and a bunch of other "little extras" from everyone else + $233..
I’m looking into shipping a small package—actually just a compact hard drive that would easily fit in a padded mailer. I need to send it over to Canada as part of a bulk deal, so I'm trying to get a sense of what the shipping costs might look like. Also, can I just ship it and have the recipient cover the delivery fee upon arrival, or am I expected to pay everything upfront? The package is probably around 1 pound. Thanks...😉

Why bother standing up?🤷 Mine's a 24-inch setup too, though I’ve got it positioned about two and a half feet from my face. Honestly, if I didn't lean in closer to actually see anything, I'd be completely lost—turns out being legally blind makes for a pretty terrible ergonomic setup.🤷
Beyond Life consists of a series of initiatives designed to boost public awareness regarding organ donation and ultimately streamline the process of signing up. The core mission is to strip away those moral dilemmas and ethical hurdles that stop society from stepping up. Based on our own experiences, we believe that through education, we can motivate people to act—and in this case, that action literally saves lives.
Under the current laws in America, everyone is considered a potential donor by default, unless they specifically opt out via the registry...

You’re definitely one of a kind, we've realized that...😍
They clearly can't read...😛 Anyway, a 30-mile commute...👍 That's a bit much, but you'll be the best judge of what works for you. Maybe doing it once or twice a week so you don't overdo it? Personally, I live less than two miles from my office, so it’s doable, but 30 miles is pushing it.😲 You'd have to get up early to beat the traffic, especially if you don't have a place to shower when you arrive.🤷

You're looking for the so-called PHANTOM mask.. Check out local motorcycle shops, Harley dealerships, or places like Spencer's
So, look, I get it—people say they can supposedly "stick" to your teeth... but personally, I just swallow them every single time; I’ve never been one to spit them out or toss them in the trash.🤷
Does anyone actually know how this works when you order from someone nearby and have to deal with customs? Basically, I’m looking at picking up some "goods" from http://www.amazon.com/..
Total cost: $65.00
That's what my total comes to, and shipping is listed as $0.00..
Here is what the fine print says under the order—I selected home delivery via USPS..
1 We will calculate the pre-tax price; once your package arrives, you'll be responsible for paying the 23% American sales tax and any applicable customs duties, per the official regulations of the United States.
2 You pay a 20% Canadian tax upfront. However, based on the provided Global Refund form after exporting from the EU, you can apply for a tax refund.
I’m looking for some upgrade recommendations. Honestly, don't worry about the price tag right now—just throw out what you think would work and we'll go from there. Thanks.😁
I remember they used to carry those strollers on the subway that actually had a decent way to fold them up from the front... I'm not entirely sure if they still stock them, though, so we probably need to give them a call and double-check. I also know they have pet crates and carriers there; it’s not quite a trailer, but it might do the trick. 😉
The price was roughly around $267, but I can't seem to track down a photo of the 😉crate itself.

The transfer is going to a JPMorgan Chase account. If anyone knows what's going on, I'd really appreciate the help.. Basically, which number am I supposed to put in the reference field?
Did they actually give you a specific reference number, or... honestly, if you look down at the table provided, I'd guess that code 99 is probably what you need here..
Emily Mitchell44 said:So, here's the deal: I was trying to buy some pants from a girl online, and she sent over her invoice number along with her full name, so I just went ahead and wired her the money. $50 I was thinking they’d have arrived by Wednesday at this point, but surprise, surprise—still nothing. The moderator isn't even showing up on the forum anymore, so they aren't responding to anything—not a single thing. Should I just accept that I threw my money straight down the drain, or what would you all do if you were in my shoes?
Could you stop spamming the same thing everywhere? If you have a grievance, just stick to the classifieds section. For all we know, she might be tied up right now—give her a chance to respond and just hang tight for a bit. If things go sideways again, you might as well just opt for cash on delivery next time. 😉
Melissa Morgan77 said:At 11 lbs, $267, if it's some massive bulky box, you're looking at roughly $17. A smaller box would be closer to $10.😉
It's about 10 lbs, $267, with some decent value inside. I'm looking to send it via standard USPS, not a FedEx delivery, 😁. Any idea what the shipping should run $14? Thanks for the help..😉
Chloe Moore65 said:Obviously you have to pack it yourself—just toss everything into one box, wrap it up, and tie it with some twine. For anything under 11 lbs with a value of $27, it'll run you about $13.08. If it's worth more than that, the price goes up; you can always run the math on the USPS website.
If I use a massive box just to make sure everything fits safely, they'll probably hit me with extra fees, right? That’s why I was looking for a small box to fit everything perfectly without getting ripped off... The package is a 5kg CC and the total value is $267. Thanks for taking the time to help me out.😉
