Sure, I can load an .mkv file without any issues. I honestly don't get why the DVD option is grayed out and unclickable for me. I downloaded the software directly from the official website and it didn't work, so I figured there was a glitch and grabbed a version via torrent, but still nothing. 🤷
If this second option works without tanking the quality, I’m in. Otherwise, I’d just stick with Convertxtodvd. To be clear, my process is simple: I load the movie into the software and then I'm stuck. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that—I have options to convert from AVI to MP4, MPEG, WMA, FLV, or MOV, but there is no DVD option available.
PS. How do I burn subtitles directly into a movie file so that when I pop the disc into my PC, the subtitles actually show up?

I was just playing CoD5 and all my speakers were working fine, but now when I try to listen to music, only two are working. So, it clearly isn't an issue with the sound card itself.
So, here’s the situation: I have a 5.1 speaker setup, and even though my sound settings are configured for 5.1 surround, I’m only getting audio out of two channels. To make matters worse, the subwoofer is completely unresponsive—no matter how much I crank the bass control on the unit itself, nothing happens. Just to be clear, everything worked perfectly fine on my old PC, so this isn't an issue with the speakers themselves. It's definitely something with the new rig.

I don't know. Any higher resolution than this just makes everything look tiny to me. I've read multiple times that 1900x1200 is pretty much the sweet spot for monitors around this size. Anyway, I just set the zoom in Word to 140% and it works fine now. Tried your suggestion as well—thanks!
I have a quick question regarding Word. I installed the full Microsoft Office suite, specifically including Word 2007. However, when I launch the program, the writing area looks tiny—it's just a small sheet of paper in the middle, while the entire right side of the interface remains a blank gray void. How do I adjust this so the workspace fills the whole window? Could my monitor resolution be causing this issue?
