It looks like Lewis is sniffing around Red Bull, but from what I can tell, Christian Horner couldn't care less.🤣

🤣

I wonder if he was down on his knees begging, tears streaming down his face. 🙂 "Please, just let me drive the Kylie Jenner car, please please please!" 🙂 🙂 🙂

I’m just sitting here waiting for Ferrari's spectacular comeback from the ashes🙏 🙏 🙏

Indeed, I expect that every single race weekend🙈

I didn't exactly say I was only talking about Ferrari. 😕 😁 Take a look at what I quoted. 🙂
stormybadger8 said:I wouldn't say the hard tires specifically are the issue. It looks more like any tire struggles when the car is running light or empty.😕

RB and Ferrari are total opposites.😕

RB—fast when light, slow when heavy.
Ferrari—fast when heavy, slow when light.

I don't know, I was listening to Baby after the race yesterday, and he was saying the issue is definitely the hard tires. Apparently, they're a total disaster—just zero grip.

We'll see what happens in Monaco. If we've actually learned anything from all this, maybe we'll get to watch Ferrari absolutely fall apart during qualifying. 😁 Honestly, Fernando doesn't even need that P5 qualifying spot. I guess it might actually be better to just start 10th and fight our way through the pack, rather than grabbing pole only to deal with all that inevitable drama once those hard tires start falling apart. 😁

Everyone says the Circuit of the Americas is the ultimate litmus test for raw car speed, and honestly, this weekend just confirmed what we already knew. Red Bull and McLaren are basically playing in a different league right now, with the Red Bull looking just a hair sharper. From the perspective of someone rooting for Fernando, it doesn't look good at all—not even a little bit. It feels like that flash of brilliance we saw back in Turkey was just a fluke, or maybe it was just a race where McLaren completely choked.

Ferrari showed up with a fancy new rear wing, which turned out to be a total bust because they interpreted the regs wrong and it got banned. Sure, it might have given them a tiny nudge, but let's be real, nothing major. The real headache for Ferrari is how the car handles when it's light on fuel; once that tank empties, everything goes sideways. They need to fix this immediately, and I'm talking a massive, radical overhaul, because patching it won't cut it.

Fernando had an absolutely killer start from P4, pulling off this incredible move to grab the lead. While he had a full tank, he was holding his own, actually fighting the Red Bull and McLaren head-on, but as the fuel burned off, that gap just kept widening and widening. And don't even get me started on the pit wall's decision to run hard tires for a full 26 laps. Seriously? 26 laps on this year's compounds is just asking for trouble.

So, what’s the play now? Vettel is leading the charge with four wins out of five, and in the one race he didn't win, he still took second. He’s only dropped seven points total...
If I were in Ferrari's shoes, I'd write this whole season off right now, but then again, who's to say the 2012 car won't be a complete disaster too? Probably nobody...
The designers and everyone else in the garage really ought to take a good, hard look in the mirror. How on earth are they letting the leaders pull that much distance?
Ferrari has a pure racing gem in their lineup, yet they aren't giving him the machine he deserves.

And what can I even say about Massa? That guy hasn't put together a decent race since the German GP mid-way through last year. And yet, Ferrari is actually extending his contract for next season? It's pathetic. Massa is driving like a ghost; there's zero effort, zero spark. What's the point of him being there? He's just grinding out P10 finishes.
I'd throw the young Jules Bianchi straight into the fire right now; Ferrari would have everything to gain and nothing to lose.

Now, let's talk about these rules....
It's absolute garbage. Total, unadulterated trash. This old troll running the show seems hell-bent on destroying F1 with these moronic decisions. Last year was one of the most thrilling seasons we've seen, so why on earth did they introduce all this nonsense? Real overtaking is dead; it's just people circling each other. Nobody even wants to try a pass because what's the point if Driver A breezes past Driver B before the DRS zone only to have him dive right back under him effortlessly? Any legitimate, high-skill overtake gets neutralized by someone just pressing a button. And the tires? They wear out so fast you're basically pitting every ten laps. At this rate, the only thing worth keeping is KERS.

I genuinely don't understand how anyone finds this entertaining. It’s a circus. F1 is supposed to be the pinnacle of motorsport, but it's morphing into a goddamn carnival. I'd much rather watch a single race with one genuine, gutsy overtake than a hundred manufactured, artificial ones.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to disrespect Vettel here. The kid is on fire, he's got a monster of a car, and he's milking it for everything it's worth. Just look at Webber in that exact same car—he doesn't look like some alien overlord who's impossible to beat like Vettel does. It proves there's something special about that kid.

If you ask me, the real headache and the actual culprit behind all this chaos isn't DRS—it’s Pirelli. 😁 Tires. You could really see that playing out yesterday.

As for Ferrari, we’re basically sliding around on ice whenever we're on the hard compounds. We also took a hit yesterday because we burned through too many sets during qualifying. I guess if they could just stop obsessing over front-row starts and actually save some rubber for the race, things might look a little better. At least until they finally figure out how to fix this car, maybe then we won't be getting lapped by everyone else. 🙏 😁
dustyskipper77 said:Just more proof that Alonso is pure class, even without a championship-winning car... a brilliant start, but you can only do so much when your machine just isn't there. Massive respect to Hamilton for fighting tooth and nail to catch a guy in an impossibly fast car, though that’s hardly his own doing...

You make a fair point. 🙏

And honestly, seeing a start that smooth is pretty rare these days. 🙏 🙏 🙏 😍 😁😁
Joshua Doyle11 said:Total powerhouse... WOW

Landing fifth place? Honestly, that’s some legendary stuff that only someone like Alonso could pull off!

Chill out, Joshua Doyle11, before I actually say something. 🙏 And you know I’m usually pretty nice, so it would be a shame if I lost my cool now. 🙏 🙏 😁
Gary Palmer8 said:Alright, he finished 4th.

Alonso is honestly a joke—

the Santander sponsorship basically buys him his seat and that "number one driver" status, but the guy can't even hold his line for a single lap.

🤣

Your logic is pretty flawed, man. 🙏 If you think "Chase Bank is buying his seat and paying for top driver status" but he still can't even maintain the pace, then he isn't a joke—he’d actually be a legend. 🙏🙏🙏 😁

Though, I guess that’s no reason to be this salty. 🙂
Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 👋

The car 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Gary Palmer8 said:haha "best on the grid"—man, that's rich!

Seriously though, good joke, gotta hand it to you. 🙂

I mean, the guy is in a car that was sitting P3 in qualifying, yet he's still trailing the leaders by a full lap. 😁

Ferrari really dropped the ball on this one.

Maybe try actually watching the races instead of just skimming the results if you want to make comments like that, buddy. 🙂
Hang in there, Nando 🙏 🙏 🙏

Maybe Red Bull's DRS will finally give out 😬 🤣
Nancy Scott5 said:If only all Alonso fans acted like that.🙂
I’ve been hanging out here commenting the whole time.

P.S. I actually root for Alonso.👍

Same here.
Look at them lying; it's pretty typical for McLaren fans, I guess.🤷 🤣
James Nguyen14 said:It wasn't even about playing games... Alonso nailed that start and jumped straight into P1... any strategy they had before that was basically garbage at that point. They should've just focused on holding that spot instead of making him look like an idiot and dropping him down to 5th. The guy gave it everything he had right out of the gate, but the crew just doesn't get it. It’s funny how the engineer gets a bonus for things going well, but they'd be just as quick to blame Alonso if he'd crashed out... honestly, I could probably come up with a better plan than these geniuses who just screwed him over with that terrible pit timing...😠😠😠

To be fair, our chances were pretty slim anyway because we absolutely cooked the tires during qualifying... maybe we should focus more on being competitive in qualifying without completely destroying the rubber for the actual race. 😁 Anything else right now feels like suicide. Sure, I suppose the strategists deserve a reprimand too, but honestly, the tire situation is what really killed us. 😳
Joshua Doyle11 said:Honestly, if I were one of you die-hard Ferrari fans, I’d probably just start bracing myself for the inevitable drought under the leadership of the legendary, unstoppable, and truly magnificent Fernando Alonso.

I almost feel a little sorry for you guys.😢

Keep dreaming.
😁
Joshua Doyle11 said:Hey there, Ferrari fans! 😁😁😁

How’s everyone doing today?🙂🤷

Not too bad. 🙏 I suppose the best driver on the grid is driving for us 🙏 back in 2016. 😁 I guess I'm not exactly worried about our future. 🙏 😁
Nancy Scott5 said:What did Alonso actually do wrong?
With Red Bull and McLaren right on his tail, they couldn't pass him. His own pit wall totally screwed him over.☕

Let them celebrate while they still can.😁 The main thing is that none of those supposedly "brilliant" teams could pass us on pure pace on the track.🙏 😁 😁

Give it a little time. Once our strategists actually get their act together and figure out what they're doing, it’ll be—as Vettel used to say—ring ding ding ding.🙏 🙏 🙏 😁
I forgot to mention that I’m actually kind of relieved Hamilton didn't sign young Vettel 🙏 That way I won't have to sit through another lecture about how he was driving the race of his life, sigh 🙏 🙏 🙏
Keith Rodriguez27 said:Looks like the Ferrari fans have finally shut their mouths 😬 (except for Edward Howard2 😁).

I've got a trash can sitting on my head right now, so I can barely see what I'm typing on this keyboard🙏 🙏 😁

Good grief...

Well, at least I can take comfort in the fact that Fernando was incredible😍 What a start he had.🙏

I guess our time will come again eventually.🙂
I guess they were just waiting to see what everyone else was clocking, rather than actually thinking about whether it made sense for Webber and Vettel to go out and chase those times 😁

Vettel mentioned later that while he obviously would have loved to head back out there and fix his lap time, he knew deep down it would have been completely irrational 😁
redheron12 said:Please take a look at this.Interesting read—especially considering which outlet actually published it. 😁

I suspect we’re in for quite a show this year—plenty of those signature heroic stunts from Alonso—and honestly, he and the Ferrari crew certainly have a flair for the dramatic—but at the end of the day, all that spectacle won't actually change the final results. 😁

Man, maybe just worry about your own McLaren instead 🙂 😁

From what I can tell, you've done a great job widening the gap to Red Bull 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
