hollowviper40 said:What specific Prozac are you taking? I’m using the 20mg dispersible ones, and I didn't see anything in the manual about higher dosage tablets existing above 20mg. Are you just taking two 20mg tablets a day? Or were you actually taking three of them back when your daily dose was 60mg?

Give me a break... Since they don't make a higher dose than 20mg, I just followed the instructions at first and took one tablet for a few weeks. Then after a while, I moved up to 40mg—two tablets—then three...
Honestly, I think I’ll just stick to one tablet for a while; two or three doesn't really do much for me.
On the flip side, those three little tablets (60mg of Prozac) literally saved an acquaintance of mine. If only we all knew... we definitely don't all react to these drugs the same way.

Please—for the love of everything holy—don't go posting nonsense like that online. You might actually convince some poor soul to start popping that much medication just because they read it somewhere on a random thread.

What do you mean "nonsense"? I don't get it; if you're confused, just ask nicely, okay? What am I supposed to know about what I did or how much I took?
Thank God I'm not actually crazy.

Honestly, I’m feeling zero effects from Prozac. I can't tell if it's actually doing nothing or if I'm just imagining things, but compared to how Effexor kicked in for me? It's a total zero.
I mean, it probably does *something*; I was on 60 mg for months and now I've dropped to 40 mg once a day at night, mostly because I have to take my thyroid meds in the morning.
I remember everyone telling me when I switched to Prozac that I just had to be patient—that it takes weeks or even months to kick in and that it's a great drug. And yeah, it felt like it took an eternity before I noticed even minor improvements, but let me reiterate: you cannot compare this to Effexor in your wildest dreams!
I see some of you mentioned having nasty side effects from Prozac; personally, I haven't dealt with any of that. My sleep is fine (knock on wood 🤣), my sex life is normal, my appetite is steady—I actually lost some weight thanks to some natural supplements 😍—and I don't get massive panic attacks, fear, or depression. Just a little bit... though I guess I was kind of like this even before the pills. Sometimes I feel depressed, but I know how to live with it.
Still, I know if I quit antidepressants—and I've tried that once before—I'll end up losing my mind. Until someone comes up with a miracle drug, I guess I'm stuck dutifully popping this stupid Prozac. 😢

Kenneth Scott41 said:Eh... I had the exact same experience with Effexor, except for me, the erectile dysfunction issues are still there.🙂 I don't know how much longer I can deal with this... it's destroying my relationship.😠
I think I'll tell my doctor the same thing—that it's stopped working... I can't really feel its effects at all anymore.

By the way, tell me, how is that Prozac? Is it any better than the Effexor?

Yeah, I feel you...
Prozac is fine by me. I haven't dealt with any real side effects, and my sex life is totally normal.
I don't know, I feel like I need something stronger. Is Prozac even hitting hard enough?😢
Effexor was better for me. Honestly, it was the best medication in the world for a while, right up until it stopped working.🙂

The only thing is, I'm totally hooked. I really need to switch medications.
Maybe try Xanax?
That puts me to sleep pretty well too.
I don't usually take it, though—only when someone at work gets on my nerves and I just can't settle down. Those damn women. Seriously.

Those damn women, amen to that!😂 I totally agree!
I actually need some help from you guys. Advice...
So, back when I first started Effexor a few years ago, it was absolutely amazing for me. The panic attacks, the nerves where I felt like pulling my hair out—all of that just vanished. My God, for the first time in a long, long time, I actually felt clear-headed, calm, steady, rational, patient, kind, and genuinely happy.😍
The only side effect was having zero interest in sex, but that cleared up after a few months. It was the perfect drug.🙂
But after a while, it felt like it stopped working. So my doctor prescribed Effexor combined with Abilify. That combo is okay, but Abilify has to be bought out-of-pocket, and if I remember right, it was about $600 for a box of pills.😢
Unachievable.
Then I was told to switch over to Prozac. I've been on it for almost a year now, and I won't say it's bad because it isn't—I don't have any side effects—but I'm just not seeing any major positive changes. Honestly, I keep thinking maybe I don't even need it because I'm still irritable and depressed. I don't see much difference.
Does anyone know of any great meds that might help me feel the way I did during those first few months/years on Effexor?
I don't want to be a zombie. I just want to be "normal." I know, I know, you guys get me.
I hate Xanax because it completely, totally numbs me out. It sucks.😢
Thanks in advance!🙂🙂
Anesthesia, Resuscitation, and ICU: Q&A in Health ·
I’ve actually had a few🙄breast augmentation surgeries...
The first one was a nightmare. I was under Dr. Dre and ended up in a coma; I was out for 24 hours. It was terrifying. I had this sensation like I was falling somewhere—like I could actually see myself plummeting—but I couldn't move a muscle. Pure horror. My subsequent surgeries were at General Hospital, and I have to give them credit; their anesthesiologists are top-tier!!!!!👍👍
There was just this one instance where, right before surgery, I got stuck with this female anesthesiologist who looked like she was more interested in her bank account than my health. She kept grilling me with question after question until I was practically sobbing. Even waking up from that one felt off; honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if she intentionally gave me a "heavy" dose. Other times, though, the anesthesia was so smooth I was ready to head home almost immediately after the procedure.
Even my most recent surgery with Gomez went incredibly well. They really have a great anesthesia team there!🙂

Have you ever tried going to IBM? They have an office right over by Times Square. And yeah, they actually take Medicare.

Dr. Hrala is hands down the best dentist in Chicago, near Dubrava.
👍👍
The guy is gentle, patient, and totally chill. He keeps things simple, doesn't charge an arm and a leg, and just does great work.
