Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
So, I’ve been on Yaz for about six months now and everything seems fine. Thank God I haven't gained any weight (knock on wood 😁). My skin even cleared up. But I have to wonder—is it actually possible for side effects like headaches, nausea, or losing your appetite to suddenly show up after being on the pill for this long? Thanks!

I'm running into the exact same issue, just without any of the fixes 🤷

It was just... okay. Not a total disaster, but definitely not perfect. By the middle of the first pack, things seemed to be getting better, but then my period hit and messed everything up again. Now I'm back to the improvement phase.😁
Adam Edwards said:Augmentin isn't one of those antibiotics that messes with your birth control effectiveness, so don't sweat that part. Still—it’s probably smart to give your OB-GYN or primary care doctor a quick call just to be safe if you're worried about anything else.

I'm actually curious—has anyone else seen their skin get way worse right after starting birth control?
When I was on Yasmin, my skin was a total disaster—then I stopped, and things got even uglier, so I had to switch. Now, I'm finishing up my first month on Yaz, and my skin has flared up big time—I've got these red, inflamed bumps along my jawline and it's just awful.😢

Same happened to me, but things are finally starting to level out. Guess the body just needs time to adjust.👍

I get it. Honestly, I can barely navigate my own neighborhood half the time 😁
but hey, you know what they say... if you don't ask, you'll never know 👍

Same here. Any way to nudge my period forward a few days? :/

On my eighth pill today and there’s still just a few traces here and there. My period actually stopped up around day six.
We'll see how next month plays out.😁

I'm wondering if it's actually necessary to get blood work done before starting birth control?
Thanks a lot 🙂
