Man, my sleep schedule is absolutely trashed. It takes me like three hours just to drift off, and then once I finally pass out, I’ll wake up out of nowhere for no reason at all. Then I’m just lying there wide awake, staring at the ceiling, even though I'm exhausted. I honestly don't know what to do anymore. I can't catch a break or get enough rest—why does this keep happening?😠

I'm running into the exact same issue, just without any of the fixes 🤷

I’m dealing with the exact same thing—honestly, it’s probably just my stress levels hitting the ceiling. I started taking some Melatonin $12 and it’s actually been a game-changer; I drift off way faster and don't spend half the night tossing and turning. I usually take it about an hour before I hit the hay. Give it a shot, it might do the trick for you too.

If this sudden shift is psychological, then fine... if not, just head to your primary care doctor and get something to help you sleep. Just don't be like most people and make the mistake of asking for Xanax. Sure, you'll pass out, but you could end up doing a massive amount of damage to yourself in the process.

I find it relatively easy to drift off initially, but then I end up waking up several times throughout the night, usually needing to get up to use the restroom, and once I'm up, I have to try all over again to fall back asleep. If I don't physically get out of bed, I just can't seem to settle back down. I actually tried using Ambien back when I was struggling just to fall asleep in the first place, but I eventually gave up on it because even then, I was only getting about three and a half to four hours of sleep before waking up again. Honestly, I can't even remember the last time I slept through an entire night. I’ve experimented with just about everything, but it feels like this sleep disorder just keeps morphing into different shapes rather than actually going away. I haven't really brought this up with my primary care physician yet because I've been prioritizing other health issues, hoping the sleep problems would just resolve themselves once my stress levels went down. By the time things reached a breaking point, my regular doctor wasn't available, and I ended up seeing a younger resident who simply warned me about the risks of becoming dependent on Ambien.
If I had more free time, I would definitely ask for a referral to the Mayo Clinic, as they have a specialized sleep disorders clinic there.

I heard you’re supposed to actually tire yourself out before hitting the hay, and definitely stay away from food at least four hours before bed. That’s what I’m trying to do right now, hopefully it actually works

WTF, I’m a dude, not a girl. Who the hell tagged me as female?😲
