I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the sheer amount of trust we are placing in black-box technologies without actually understanding the mechanics under the hood. It feels like we’ve collectively decided that if a tool is "smart" enough to mimic human conversation or solve complex logic puzzles, it must also be inherently secure or structurally sound. We’ve basically treated these new AI-driven interfaces like a magic wand, waving them around to solve every productivity bottleneck, while completely ignoring the massive, gaping holes in the perimeter they create.

I remember back when everyone was obsessing over the first major cloud migrations. There was this massive wave of "we're moving everything to the ether" sentiment, and for a while, it seemed like the security protocols were playing catch-up with the sheer scale of the data being moved. We saw huge lapses where people assumed the provider was doing all the heavy lifting, only to realize later that the human element—the way we interact with those interfaces—is almost always the weakest link. It’s happening again, but this time the "interface" is something that can talk back to you.

What worries me isn't just the potential for a single massive breach, but the psychological shift in how we handle sensitive information. There’s this growing sense of complacency. When you’re using a tool that feels so intuitive and "human," your natural defensive instincts start to dial back. You stop thinking about data leakage or unauthorized access because the interaction feels so casual. It’s like talking to a colleague in a coffee shop rather than inputting proprietary data into a terminal. We are essentially blurring the lines between private intellectual property and public-facing tools, and I don't think the industry is prepared for the fallout when the "clumsiness" of these systems meets the sheer aggression of modern bad actors.

I also find it fascinating (and terrifying) how much "emergency" energy is being poured into fixing things after the fact. We seem to be in this cycle of: Rapid Adoption -> Massive Vulnerability -> Chaotic Damage Control -> Patching. It’s a reactive loop. In the professional world, especially in tech and security, we preach "security by design." But with the current gold rush toward integrating generative models into every single workflow, "security by design" has been tossed out the window in favor of "speed to market." We are building skyscrapers on sand, and then acting shocked when the foundation starts to shift.

If we keep moving at this velocity, what happens to the concept of a "secure environment"? If an LLM is integrated into a company's core workflow, and that LLM can be manipulated or bypassed through simple, almost accidental-looking inputs, is there even such a thing as a private data silo anymore? I’m starting to doubt that we can ever truly "sandbox" these tools effectively if their whole purpose is to process and synthesize information that is, by its very nature, fluid.

I’m curious to hear from the people here who work in sysadmin or cybersecurity roles. Do you feel like the rush to implement these tools is actually outstripping our ability to secure them, or is this just the standard growing pains we see with every major technological leap? Are we being too paranoid, or is the "convenience gap" becoming a genuine structural risk to how we handle corporate intelligence?
Benjamin Newman8 said:Hey CSR, just wondering if you're still sticking to that oil regimen?

No, I just take CC three times a month whenever it crosses my mind. I also dabble with CBD oil every now and then. Had a checkup a few weeks ago after being away from the doctor for a year—everything looks good, no issues with the eye.👍
Willow bark tea fixes everything... just Google it!

Does anyone actually know anything about this "medicine"?

https://hr.prostero-official.eu

The thing is, I can't find a single real thing on this "cure." And when I say nothing, I mean I've searched all the forums where people actually speak their minds.
It's just a mountain of links and ads that do nothing but praise and glorify the product, complete with fake "customer reviews."
To me, the whole thing smells like a total scam!
Has anyone here used it firsthand—and I mean someone who isn't part of the marketing team?
Thanks, guys!
So, the CSR has completely vanished. It hasn't shown up once during any of my checkups over the last six months. 😁...all thanks to using Rick Simpson Oil.👍
🤣

I tried it myself for a spot where CSCR popped up, and you're left with a mark, like a dark, translucent little cloud or something along those lines... In another case, they couldn't even use the laser because it was right in the center of the vision, and they didn't want to risk permanent damage. Stick with RSO and you should be fine, just watch out for scammers when you're buying. There are plenty of greedy idiots out there selling regular oil or God knows what else and passing it off as RSO, at least that's what I've heard.

Does anyone actually have any insight into how Cannabis oil works? I just picked some up, so I’m trying to figure out if it’s actually worth the trouble. I was diagnosed with CSR back in July of last year, and my doctor over in Germany prescribed me Glaupax, which I think is pretty similar to the stuff you get over here. I took it for about three weeks, and I guess things improved a tiny bit, but the issue hasn't really gone away. I haven't actually gone back for a follow-up exam since then. Aside from just trying to stay stress-free, what has actually worked for you guys? I am honestly dreading the idea of having one of those injections shoved into my eye; I want to avoid that at all costs if I possibly can. Is laser treatment even a viable alternative?
I would truly appreciate any advice or medication recommendations you might be willing to share. It would mean a lot.
I’m not sure about the RSO—I barely managed to get my hands on some myself. You can actually make it at home; there are tutorials all over YouTube, including two really professional ones. One even shows exactly how Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) is made. Now, CBD is perfectly legal, but this first one isn't. You can find everything you need to know on Google. Personally, I use both: RSO in the evening and CBD during the day. When you use them together, they actually have a synergistic effect. Google knows everything. 🙂
neoneagle7 said:Hey, thanks for checking in!

Do you happen to know where I might be able to pick up some of that Rick Simpson Oil? And I'm wondering, what's the actual difference between that and standard CBD oil?
Is it necessary to take both?
It works. It almost completely cured me... you just need patience. I stuck to very small doses in the evening, and after a year, the results have been great. Look, this isn't going to happen overnight. It takes time, but it'll solve the issue. The most important thing is making sure you get the real deal.

Ugh, okay, some spirulina is decent, gross 😁..but Kernnel spirulina is the gold standard.

Keep me posted on how things are going 😀 I'm really glad to hear you're noticing some progress.
So, I picked up some Spirulina today... and man, I totally blew it by getting the powder version. It was awful! I almost gagged. I still feel a bit nauseous just thinking about the taste. I tried plugging my nose and chugging it, but it just wouldn't work... I'm going to have to figure out a better way to take this 😨 For the next few months, I've decided to focus on vitamins and antioxidants specifically for eye health. Just trying to give my eyes a chance to recover.
I have one more question for you 😀 I'm a little confused about that FAG thing. Say, for instance, if the vein isn't actually leaking, why would this happen in the first place? I get it if there's a leak, but if it's possible for the vein to be sealed and I still developed CSR, where did that Edem come from? Do you have any idea? Is it possible for it to leak once, create Edem, and then stop leaking? I'm struggling to find the right way to ask this ☺
Have you started planning that nature getaway yet? I remember mentioning it to you last time. We were out at Kalnik for training 😂 and we're looking at a shorter trek toward the end of the month. Honestly, being out in nature this spring has been pure bliss. It's my medicine and my therapy 😉 Next month, we're planning to spend two or three nights in the Alps, maybe combine a few short hikes that are doable with the baby in a carrier. My husband is all in 😂
Take care, and hoping for good news

Henry Perez5 said:Hey everyone, looks like I'm stuck in the same boat as you guys. I just started on Diamox. I've been taking it for two days now, and man, this stuff is no joke—I'm getting these crazy tingling sensations running from my neck down my back and all through my hands, especially after I move around at all. Has anyone else dealt with this? Does this weird nerve stuff actually go away if you stick with the treatment for a while longer?
Hey there... been gone for a bit😵...but the oil is working wonders. After about a year of using nothing but Rick Simpson Oil (I tried several different types of eye injections, but they didn't really do much), without any other medical help, the Edem has almost completely vanished. It’s receding fast—my doctor is actually surprised and happy; things are looking up.🙂 The amount I take is about 1/4 the size of a grain of rice on a toothpick, right before bed, on a small piece of bread, followed by some water. I also use regular CBD oil daily—5 drops under the tongue once a day, and sometimes another 5 drops at night. Honestly, nobody really knows why Edem happens (I suspect it's stress... specifically cortisol levels spiking when we're stressed, and if that stress is constant, the cortisol stays high, which wreaks havoc on the body), but somehow this miracle RSO is clearing everything right up. RSO regulates the endocannabinoid system and who knows what else... basically, it heals. Nature really does have the answers; forests are our friends and our natural home.👍

Hey 😁, it's me. Things are looking up... I slipped up a bit, but I've stuck with the Cannabis oil and RSO, and I even started smoking joints—honestly, that seems to work incredibly well too. It’s improved significantly. If I stay on this track, I think I'll feel like a new person in maybe 2-3-4 months. Btw, I took your advice and ordered some Astaxanthin—it's awesome.

Hmm, powder and Spirulina... maybe try mixing it into yogurt? Just a little bit. I ended up buying the tablets from Kernnela (from Germany).
Yeah

Nicholas Ortiz48 said:Thanks for the advice; I might give some of those suggestions a shot. I pretty much eat raw carrots almost every day myself. I actually had my checkup today, too. During the exam, the doctor didn't see anything alarming, though she could tell something happened—it left a mark on the RPE. On the OCT, it still shows what she described as minimal RPE ablation right where the Edem first started when I was having issues... She mentioned that if that happens to be a leak site, the laser can't be used on that specific spot. If it becomes necessary, she brought up the possibility of injections... I have no idea, but I really hope it doesn't come to that because the thought of an injection in the eye sounds terrifying... 😲 She even hinted that there might be no point in doing FAG now since it's passed, but okay, since I'm already scheduled. Still, I decided to go to my primary care doctor to see if they can get me in earlier just so I can have some peace of mind. It’s really bugging me that this little section stayed the way it is... It was visible on the last OCT too, but the doctor wasn't worried... I feel like I need to double-check because I'm the type of person who worries about these things... 😁
Here's another suggestion for you: I stumbled upon some info about Astaxanthin, which is supposedly amazing for improving visual acuity. It's found in high amounts in krill, and there are supplement capsules available. They aren't exactly cheap, but hey, why not give it another try? 😁
I found this on some website—honestly, I can't remember if it was an American or international site because I can't find where I dug it up anymore😵—but it was mostly info regarding CSR treatment. It mentioned the Iridex laser, or so-called "yellow laser," which treats the central area without causing thermal burns or scarring. Instead, it just stimulates the retina's natural self-healing processes so the pigment epithelium heals faster, closing up the holes where fluid leaks through, and so on. rustybear27, I really hope the oil works for you and that you won't even need this info... You seem so calm, positive, and patient, truly. I really believe these are just the final twitches of CSR for you and that next time everything will be much better, maybe even excellent.👍
Man, I find myself daydreaming all the time about just being able to spend a day, two, three—who even knows how long it takes—just sitting in front of the TV in total peace with nothing but my own thoughts. Sometimes you really just need that kind of headspace, but when there's a baby in the mix, that's basically out of the question unless we hit the jackpot. I'd love to just pack up our bags and head out on a trip, soaking in different landscapes and completely clearing my mind by changing my scenery, but yeah, those are just pipe dreams 😁 once spring finally hits, though, we're planning to go on some hiking trips, which should help me feel a bit more like myself; we used to get out on the trails way more often back in the day.
I'm going to hop on Google and look into those tips of yours. Anyway, good luck 😉

Ole,.. I actually underwent MPLT-MicroPulse laser therapy—the so-called "cold laser" as my doc calls it (though whether that's Iridex or not, I haven't a clue). The idea is that it supposedly revitalizes cells without destroying tissue, but it doesn't actually stop the leaking/leakage from the vein—tried and tested on me. It improves the situation, but it doesn't seal the vessel. My doctor is a great guy, but in many other instances, life experience has taught me that you eventually have to become your own doctor.😁. Just get an FAG done, then you'll know for 100% certain if there's a leak in the vein or not. They were focusing entirely on my eye issues, but they did a quick 10-second scan of everything else too—that’s how we caught the other issue early on, something that didn't even show up on the OCT.
Thnx for the Astaxanthin.
The oil definitely works—I can see improvements. 🙂
I've had injections before, too, but they didn't stop the leakage.

Btw, don't use Bacopa monnieri or Brahmi Gotu Kola if you're pregnant or planning to be; I read somewhere that it should be avoided during that time.

Ugh, that planning sounds amazing. Nature, streams, forests... our true habitat. You can tell my hunter-gatherer genes are kicking in immediately. haha
Nicholas Ortiz48 said:Hey there! Thanks for getting back to me, rustybear27. I’m stuck at home with the baby right now, so the days are just absolutely blurring together 😉
Yeah, I’ve definitely read up on those personality types, and I am a textbook Type A through and through. The worst part is that I can't just flip a switch and change it... I can try telling myself, "Okay, let's take it easy, don't get worked up, stay chill, everything's fine," but it just doesn't work. It's not like I can just decide to be different when that underlying tension is already baked into who I am. My doctor suggested I look into some yoga breathing exercises and carve out a few minutes every day for them, especially when I feel the stress starting to pile up. I'm also trying to load up on antioxidants through my diet as much as possible.
I'm actually thinking about checking in with my doctor to see if I can jump the line for FAG somewhere, because my current appointment isn't until November.
There's one thing I'm still a bit fuzzy on... After my last checkup with the OCT, the results were perfect—everything was green lights and the macular contours looked totally normal. But even then, I was still dealing with some lingering minor issues... Like, if I squint my eyes—you know, close the left one and strain with the right—there's this faint circle with these tiny little shadows inside it. And in the dark—well, not pitch black, just dim enough where you aren't seeing nothing—there's this shadow in front of my right eye (night driving is fine since the headlights are bright enough to drown it out, so I can see okay). There are other little things too; in the shade or dim light when I'm trying to read small print, like on some product packaging, if I test it with my right eye, the center of my focus is sharp, but the edges look like the letters were printed on greasy paper... Are these tiny glitches just permanent leftovers?
Whenever I go in for a checkup, I have a million questions and uncertainties, but it feels like they're always in such a rush to get through me. It's like they don't quite grasp that a person actually wants to understand what's going on with their own health...
Oh, also, I was wondering if anyone else has noticed any periodic shifts in their vision? I mentioned having this slightly watery visual effect, and I've noticed it hits harder during ovulation or when I get migraines. Then the next day, everything is back to normal and looks better, and just when I start freaking out that it's coming back, it suddenly clears up in a single day...

Hey, just got back from my checkup. After three months of using the oil, things have finally improved in one eye—it's actually shrinking. But, of course, two tiny new ones popped up in the other. Typical.🤔Honestly, even my doctor can't wrap his head around why this is happening. I’m just going to stick with the oil for now. I've been seeing a private specialist—I wouldn't dream of dealing with the state doctors anyway—and they told me you can't have FAG done too often, maybe twice a year at most. Better not wait until October.
If you're asking if antioxidants actually work—yeah, they do. I take a borovnica Sorial extract tincture every morning on an empty stomach, followed by half a raw carrot. I also stay on top of eye vitamins like Dietpharm Makulin plus or Nutrof total (my doctor’s recommendation), plus some Kernnela Spirulina, which is loaded with zeaxanthin—supposedly great stuff for your vision.

Yeah, I’m trying to get into meditation too. At least once a day, I try to just focus on my breathing—that's what I read online, anyway. Just thinking about the present. Not tomorrow, not yesterday, just right now. Just enjoying the moment.
People say lemon balm tea is great for cooling down your brain. I’ve been using Himalay Bacop myself—take it once a month, then take a 2 to 4-week break before starting again. Look it up on Google.

Stay positive and just relax... you'll heal.👍
Hey, I ended up dealing with CSCR myself, just like I mentioned before. It cleared up while I was on a diuretic and Trusopt drops (to lower eye pressure) along with Yellox (for inflammation). I actually used Azarga instead of Trusopt to manage the pressure. It went away, but then came back about 4-6 months later, so there's no guarantee it'll stay gone for you. Since I've been struggling with this since 2015—and it recently popped up in my other eye too—one thing I've learned is that it usually hits people with a Type A psychological profile. As for the exact cause? Nobody really knows; I even asked my doctor. In my case, I'm certain stress plays a massive role in this. To be 100% sure it's gone, you need an FFA test (they inject a yellow contrast solution into your vein, giving you a tiny bit first to check for allergic reactions, then they examine how the vessels fill inside the eye). That’s how they check if a vessel is leaking and causing Edem—which is what's happening to me. It's right in my center of vision, so they won't touch it with a laser. My doctor actually suggested Cannabis oil (real oil with THC); he had one patient who recovered completely and hasn't had issues since, even though she had a huge problem. Doctors find it tricky to recommend because Cannabis is still illegal here in the US. I hope you get better soon. LP, by the way, those floaters are totally normal for me; I've had them since elementary school. I've done every test under the sun and they never found anything, so I just ignore them. Don't let them stress you out—CSCR is much more dangerous.

LP
I picked up some genuine Royal Medic strain Cannabis oil. I'm actually noticing changes in my eye—the spot seems smaller, though there's some mild discomfort. At my checkup, the doctor mentioned the Edem is shrinking and told me to stick with this treatment. I haven't hit a full dose yet since I need to let my body adjust, so I’m gradually bumping it up every three days.
🙂

On a side note, regarding those "pins and needles" sensations: my ophthalmologist told me they're just a side effect of the diuretics. Basically, I burned through my potassium and need to replenish it. Now, I just dissolve half a 500mg potassium chloride tablet in water and the tingling disappears... or I just eat a banana every day. Easy fix.
I've been dealing with CSR in one eye since 2015. We managed to clear it up once, then it came back in 2016, we cleared it again, and now it’s flared up once more. We tried diuretics like Diamox (which gave me kidney stones and left me feeling like there were ants "crawling inside my head"—honestly, I think it was peeing out all my magnesium and making me depressed), plus Trusopt/Azarga drops, but nothing helped. We even tried Avastin injections, but no luck there either. Using FAG, we identified that the issue was leaking from a specific vein. Bayer Eylea provided some initial relief, but things started sliding downhill again after two months. My ophthalmologist couldn't perform laser cauterization because I have macular degeneration right in the center of my vision, so we attempted to treat a spot slightly higher up to close off the suspicious vein, followed by cold laser treatment directly at the source of the leak. It felt better at first, but two months later, the decline started again. Now, my doctor has unofficially suggested I try getting some Cannabis oil. He mentioned a patient of his who had it way worse than me—her vision was down to 10%, and doctors at the state eye hospital told her to just prepare for blindness. To make a long story short, she recovered after a year of using Cannabis oil; her vision climbed back up to 98%.😁He monitored her month by month, and she just kept getting better and better until she was fully healed.
Right now, I'm using an oil I picked up online ( The key is finding something with high CBD and almost zero THCa. From what I've been digging up online, while THC is a factor, you really want the CBD levels to heavily outweigh the THC.

By the way, watch your back—there are plenty of scammers out there selling oil. It is absolutely vital to find someone reliable who actually knows what they're doing and won't rip you off!

I'll keep you guys posted on my progress.👍

You take the oil sublingually, under the tongue, obviously.🙂
