Andrei Illarionov, once one of Vladimir Putin's top economic advisors, just dropped a column in The Wall Street Journal titled "Beginning of disaster." About eighteen months ago, he was warning us about a potential disaster; a month and a half ago, he was introducing the disaster; and now, the disaster is officially underway. The big catalyst here is the upcoming election on December 2nd. Honestly, this whole campaign feels like a dark rerun of history. It’s giving me major vibes from the USSR 12.12.1937 Supreme Soviet elections and the 1933 Reichstag elections in Germany. All three of these periods share the exact same playbook: blatant lawbreaking—even by the people who wrote the laws—wildly theatrical displays bordering on psychosis, blocking political rivals from running, intimidation, terror, violence, and straight-up throwing opponents in jail. The December 2nd vote isn't an election; it's a special operation. It’s a coordinated effort involving United Russia, the "for Putin" crowd, and the "Us" youth movement. Their main goal? To legalize the regime—not just the one we have now, but the one they’re building over the next few months. Once you start tearing down modern institutions like an independent parliament, the courts, free media, local governors, the civil service, and even the presidential administration itself, there's no stopping it. And it looks like they're just getting started.

I mean, that label has pulled in trillions of dollars. Even under capitalism, whenever things start going south, they just point the finger at "communists," or suddenly we need to dump hundreds of billions into some massive "fight against communism." Honestly, if you look at the ROI, it’s probably the most profitable brand in history.

Am I smelling some old-school nostalgia here? If I'm going by that avatar, it definitely seems that way.

You really don't think there's any actual benefit to all this "space technology"? I mean, come on. You know damn well what NASA has handed down to us.
The Russians have had an operational space station—the Mir—up there for 30 years now, and honestly, it’s basically the backbone of today's International Space Station. If it wasn't for that Russian tech, we wouldn't even have the regular communication or the crew rotations on the ISS that we see happening today. It's all built on that foundation.

So, tell me this—when some billionaire decides they’re finally ready to blast off into space, who exactly are they supposed to call? Do they just ring up the USA? Or maybe try their luck with the European Union? Honestly, I can only imagine the ridiculous nonsense people have to explain over and over again on this Forum. It's exhausting.

Exactly, a rich guy going to space. That's the thing—they turn to Russia because Russians are always looking for a payday. NASA doesn't need their help.🤣 🤣 🤣.
