I can see that rebellious streak starting to flare up in you. Honestly, I’ve always had a soft spot for people who push back like that. 😍

However, you really have to grasp that film and painting are two entirely different beasts, even if they both fall under the broad umbrella of art.
I’m not quite sure where you got the idea that paintings are sold based on a description or by showing someone just a tiny fragment of the work. After all, the entire point of a painting is its immediate visual impact.

Whether you decide to hang it above the toilet, above the TV, or maybe even sleep with it next to you is entirely up to you—it’s all about your own subjective taste and how you personally experience that image.

With movies, the logic is completely different. For starters, you can't exactly hang a full-length film on your living room wall, and let's face it, if a movie is absolutely terrible, you aren't going to spend the next few years rewatching it. 😁

It's a time-bound medium; the only way you can truly judge it is by sitting through the whole thing. If studios marketed films by only showing half the footage, we'd all be running to the theater demanding refunds, saying, "I want my money back because I already saw half this movie in the trailers!"

Ultimately, the responsibility lies with you to figure out if it's actually your cup of tea. You made a bit of a mistake by not accounting for the fact that everything—even the absolute garbage—is packaged to look incredible at first glance.

That’s just how the industry works, and I think that's part of the magic of film as the "seventh art." You show up, you watch, and you go in with certain expectations that eventually crystallize into an opinion by the time the credits roll.

And as for lawsuits, you can never sue someone based solely on your personal opinion. You can't just walk into a courtroom in New York and tell a judge, "I think he's a criminal simply because I don't like his personality." ☕

I’ve noticed a few posts where people are comparing this movie to "spoiled food," suggesting that you’re entitled to a refund if that's the case. And sure, technically, you are. But I think that comparison is totally off base. The film didn't malfunction in the theater; there wasn't any audio glitching or picture issues... nothing like that. Personally, I’d look at it this way. Imagine you pick up some 😁 at a grocery store, and even though they turn out to be terrible, they aren't actually rotten. They’re a staple that everyone else loves and keeps buying, but for some reason, you just can't stand them.

Are you really going to head back to the store and get into a heated argument with the cashier just because those mushrooms didn't suit your palate? Of course not—you can't, and you shouldn't, because you chose to buy them. It’s the exact same thing with movies.

They wrap all sorts of mediocre stuff in flashy packaging to make it look appealing, knowing a small group of people will absolutely love it while everyone else just rolls their eyes.

William Lee34 said:On what grounds would you even complain to anyone? Based on a mere subjective impression? Surely, someone out there finds that film excellent. It’s akin to visiting a museum to see Picasso's Guernica, deciding it isn't to your taste, and then demanding a refund for your admission fee. Film is art, and we know how that works—certain works are universally acclaimed, like Blade Runner, while others appeal to a more niche audience, such as Tron: Legacy.
Next time, perhaps avoid going in blindly and expecting a feature to mirror a two-minute trailer. Besides, you have Rotten Tomatoes at your disposal to check the critics' consensus.

I couldn't agree more! You can't argue with taste, and I think the mistake here was simply failing to realize that this particular film wasn't going to be your cup of tea.

Personally, I find the whole concept of going to the theater a bit silly. Kill me now. 😢 No, really, I’m just not a fan of the cinema experience, mainly because of the fact that I have to shell out $12, the risk of buying a total dud, and my own high standards for movies. On top of that, I can't stand people laughing or coughing around me, or folks constantly getting up to head to the restroom...

For the price of those $12, you could have grabbed five bags of chips at Walmart and just streamed that trash instead. If it turns out to be a disaster after ten minutes, you just turn it off, delete it, and find something else to watch. You save time, skip the headache, and end up with a full stomach! 👍

Testicular pain can definitely flare up if you let yourself get a bit too chilled out, especially when wearing those short summer tees or sitting on cold surfaces for too long. 😢

I’ve certainly learned that the hard way myself... 👎 But hey, I suppose we all learn from our own little mistakes along the way.. 😉

I just finished installing Win 7 on my Asus A7U laptop today, but I've run into a bit of a snag. It seems the drivers provided on the disc aren't playing nice with the system, and it didn't automatically pick up the drivers for my graphics card or my sound card at all!

Your best bet is to head over to Windows Update. Usually, the system will scan for what's missing and download everything you need automatically through the update process. 😉
