Yeah, it totally is. So, you should probably grab some sunscreen with a really high SPF just to be safe...🙂

That’s even better... 🙂

Jeffrey Walker3; if he doesn't bring it up, just go find out yourself... either talk to him directly or head over to your local family doctor.

honestly I just try to slip out unnoticed... like, I'll head out right before the end of the workday or something... seriously 🙄

Washington, D.C. is packed with gynecologists; you don't even have to go to the place where you actually live.

I ended up staying home too... 😲Honestly, if you're only holding back because you don't want to stress her out, maybe just find a different doctor instead? Do it for yourself, for your own health. Trust me, it's way better to catch something early than to wait until things get serious...

Grace Walker13 said:On the flip side, looking at things from a bigger national perspective... maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to look toward some of those Scandinavian healthcare models. You know, where certain checkups—like dental visits or OBGYN appointments—are actually mandatory every six months or so...

Honestly, that would be incredibly smart.

amberheron64 said:My mom is super strict about me seeing a gynecologist... she basically forbids it. So whenever I actually have to go, I’m just walking in there terrified that someone might catch me or see me... I end up going so rarely because of it. Usually, when it comes to picking up prescriptions, I just have someone else go for me instead...
I'm actually kind of scared of my own mom... ☕
If you ever found out I was on birth control... honestly, you'd probably kill me. Like, actually...
I'm 21, and look, I know I'm not some little kid... but honestly? I am absolutely terrified of how she's going to react. And the worst part is, I actually think she has every right to be mad...

Look... you really ought to be going in for a checkup at least every six months, or maybe once a year at most... just for the basics like a Pap smear, an ultrasound, and all that stuff. I don't really get what your mom is on about... my own mother had some serious issues with her ovaries—she actually ended up having them and her uterus removed—so she’s honestly just relieved that she can stay on top of her own health now. It's always better to prevent something than to have to deal with it later... Just tell her straight up that the whole cleaning process scares you and that you'd rather just manage things your own way. In a worst-case scenario, you could always just switch to a different OB-GYN...

It honestly feels just like my dentist... you know, the one I see at least twice a year anyway...

Yeah, that irritability and moodiness and all that... it’s definitely from the pill. Honestly, sometimes I get so cranky I actually catch myself wondering what's wrong with me, and then I just end up feeling guilty about it. It never used to happen back before I started taking them, so... yeah. Either you stop taking them or you just have to deal with the guilt 😁. I know there are those PMS-free supplements out there, but they aren't supposed to be mixed with birth control. For PMS, honestly, drinking some angelica tea is probably your best bet.

I’m just hoping—fingers crossed, really—that once I make the switch from Diane over to Logest, everything finally settles down and stays smooth

Everything’s gonna be alright... 🙂

My hormones are absolutely wrecking me today. I'm feeling incredibly on edge, so I wanted to ask for some advice.
Is there anything natural out there that actually works to help me relax and chill out? (And no, I don't mean chocolate, comfort food, or hobbies—though I know stuff exists specifically for PMS). My mood is just all over the place; one minute I’m crying, the next I’m furious, then suddenly everything feels great, and it just keeps looping like that.
Oh god, my boyfriend is calling right now. If I snap at him or go full psycho, what then? 😢

Mint, peppermint, maybe some sage... just don't go overboard with the sugar. Unless you're talking about fruit sugar, obviously... 🙂 Honestly... there's just no point in doing that. It's actually worse for your body in the long run...

Side effects can happen; it’s totally normal. It’s just that next level of hormones kicking in...

I'm trying to get some sleep too 🙂; but honestly, when I actually head to bed, falling asleep is such a struggle... I just feel all tense and cramped up all night long, and I keep waking up. And I noticed—this might sound kind of silly, but—I end up kicking my legs around... I never used to do that before I started the pills.

Has anyone else noticed their sleep getting totally messed up while on birth control? Like, could there actually be a connection? Ever since I started taking Diane35, I feel like my sleep quality has taken a serious dive compared to before... though, to be fair, I was never exactly a champion sleeper to begin with.

Did you get the pure stuff from Diana?

Honestly, I feel like once the cellulite sets in, there’s just no winning... though you can definitely manage your weight, or at least you should try to; maybe just keep a closer eye on what you're eating and when, plus get some movement in. Are any other pill options even on the table for you? That's about the best advice I can give, really... 😢

Did you run into any side effects during that break you took? 🙂

If you’re thinking about "delaying" the dosage, then you really ought to get started on the next blister pack right after this one finishes up...

Wait, which pills are we even talking about here? Are they all the same color or what? Because if they are, then it really doesn't matter which one you took...

Honestly, I was just so terrified and alone, dealing with all that pain... I didn't even know where I was or who I was, let alone that I actually had the right to say no to anything. But whatever, at the end of the day, the main thing is that I'm alive and healthy now... though I guess people can get used to just about anything, unfortunately...

Melissa James70 said:Patients have every right to say no, period. There's really no debate there. Back when I was at the neurology ward, they actually asked if I’d be okay with them presenting my case to some medical students... you know, no actual exam, just telling the story so they could ask questions... and I just told them no. And they respected that.

It actually reminds me of something I saw at the children's hospital over in Cleveland. They have this massive hall where all the patient rooms open up into—it's used for visitors, but clearly for doctor lectures too. This group of maybe twenty doctors walked in, dragged an exam table into the middle of the room, and they took this poor kid, stripped him completely naked, and just... kept him on that table while they gave their lecture. We kids were watching through the glass in our room, and honestly, it was horrifying. The kid couldn't have been more than 10 or 12. I bet he still carries that trauma today... being small, sick, stuck in a hospital, and then being taken out to some huge hall to be put on display like some freak show attraction...

That's just awful. Something similar happened to me once; well, "similar" because they didn't strip me, they just lifted my clothes up a bit... it hurt so bad, and there were six or seven people just crowding around me, pressing in... I wouldn't wish that on anyone, let alone a scared little kid.

Is there any way to actually stop this from happening?
