Uh, hey there. For now, the water isn't really causing weight gain 🙂
It feels to me like those are just stories; maybe they started because their appetite increased, so it’s totally normal that they gained some weight... but still... hmmm
On my way to the OBGYN right now... I was just at my doctor's office earlier too. It’s always the same routine, even if there's that little bit of discomfort you just expect 👎. Honestly, though? Dealing with their medical assistants is way worse than seeing the doctors themselves. Every single one I've run into so far has been just awful .

That’s just not who I am, and I don't know how to function in an environment like that. Even when I’m surrounded by people who seem well-meaning on the surface—even though we all know deep down they’re total snakes—I still give them the benefit of the doubt until they eventually stab me in the back. When they do, I just end up feeling disappointed, angry, and heartbroken, wondering how this keeps happening to me. I truly love genuine, good people, but they tend to live in their own little bubbles. Nowadays, if you actually want to build a meaningful life and surround yourself with decent human beings, it feels like you have to fight through a gauntlet of chaos just to establish a sense of security and independence.
I’m curious to hear from you guys: how have you structured your lives to find peace? More importantly, how do you navigate around the materialists, the egoists, and those selfish power-trippers with warped values who seem to hold all the cards?
That "well-meaning" thing... it's the worst. Honestly, what gets to me most is when I meet someone, or at least I *think* I've really gotten to know them, and we become pretty close after a few years pass... maybe two or three. Of course, things happen during that time, you know? Little disagreements, feeling a bit let down or just sad about something, but you usually just brush it off because everyone has their moods and quirks... you shouldn't sweat the small stuff. But I didn't always brush off those quirks. I’d just think, "Oh well, I'm not perfect either," but lately, I've just been feeling more hurt and disappointed... turns out, that person wasn't even who they claimed to be. I could have seen it through all those little red flags, but I was just blind because I'm always looking for the good in people. You wouldn't believe the shock... and now I'm just sitting here blaming myself for not looking at things from a different angle. I really hope I don't make the same mistake again...
Still, I don't think you ever need to be a total jerk. Even if I wanted to be one, I honestly wouldn't even know how...
I’ve been spending way too much time on crosswords and Sudoku lately... I used to just kill time reading product labels at the grocery store, but ever since I started keeping a crossword puzzle in the bathroom, that's where my head's been at. 😬

I mean, can you even begin to imagine how quickly that kind of practice would spiral out of control and start looking?
Oh, come on now... you saw it yourself. Look at how many complaints Malena received regarding her work, and yet nobody seemed to care. Well, nobody has cared *yet*, but hey, Burger King is practically at its end anyway... everything was just ignored or pushed through with some quick-fix procedure. And that whole thread about filing grievances against the moderators? It vanished without a trace. And it wasn't just two or three people complaining, either... it was pretty much everyone.
Here’s another constructive suggestion for the road—if a bunch of users start complaining about how a certain moderator is handling things, stop IGNORING it and actually try to fix it... either give that mod a little reality check or just let them go. And maybe have that conversation in the actual threads where people are complaining about the mod, instead of doing it here in our topic where nobody even asked us for our input.
Because look at what happened just now... there's been so many complaints about how malena_1309 is running the Burger King thread, yet there's absolutely no solution in sight, just total silence.
So, why does someone get banned if they start a new thread that’s already active... especially when they go out of their way to be all cynical and write "check if this topic exists" right there in the post?
So, I finally sat down and watched it tonight... man, what a killer way to end the day 😬. I’m with you though, it’s a solid flick. Honestly, felt like such a breath of fresh air compared to all those endless teen slashers or those over-the-top Saw movies and stuff like that...
I was wondering if anyone could help me out here... I don't want to start a whole new thread just for this little thing, but does anyone know how long a lab requisition stays valid? I saw my doctor back on August 27th to get one, but things just got so hectic and I couldn't make it in... I was hoping to head over tomorrow, but now I'm second-guessing if it's still good to go.

I can't stop spiraling into thoughts about death and stuff like that. I try my best to just act normal and get through the day, but sometimes the weight of it all just hits me out of nowhere and I really struggle... My mom doesn't really get it either; she thinks I'm being dramatic. She's like, "You're young, you're pretty, you don't have any major health issues, so what's the problem?" It actually makes me feel super guilty for even feeling this way, especially when I think about how many other people are dealing with much heavier stuff. Anyway, how are things going with your boyfriend? You mentioned you were really happy when you two first started dating...
I totally get you. For me, this past two weeks have been especially brutal, though my depression actually goes way back to elementary school... On the surface, everything looks fine—I laugh, I enjoy things here and there—but inside, I'm just depressed, sad, and stuck with these horrible thoughts. Then other times, I can't do anything at all... I just end up being hard on myself because of the crying. I don't even want to cry, but the tears just come uninvited... And I don't really have anyone to talk to. My mom is just being a typical mom—she wants the best for me, so she doesn't take it seriously. Most people around me seem so happy with their lives, and whenever I try to hint at how bad I'm actually feeling, they just start telling me how great I actually have it and that everything will be okay, then they change the subject. I wish I could help all of you, but I don't even know how to help myself first... 😢
I’ve been struggling with insomnia for a little while now too... I was taking xanax 0.25 for a few days, but then I decided to hit up the local drugstore to find something herbal instead, because honestly, xanax just doesn't feel right for me. Lately, I've been doing three capsules of valerian, and if I drink some strong lemon balm tea beforehand, it actually helps. I know it's much harder for some people than it is for me, though... I'm just really hoping this stops working on me too 😢.
You aren't crazy... honestly, so many people seeing a therapist or a psychiatrist aren't actually "crazy," they just need a safe space to vent about their feelings and what's going on in their heads. Everything moves so fast these days, you know? Everyone is constantly rushed, nobody really has the bandwidth to sit down and truly listen to someone else... there's just so much stress and depression everywhere now. If you have a close friend you trust, maybe try opening up to her first—just talking it out might help take the edge off until you can see a professional. And hey, try to find something to keep your mind busy so you don't spiral into those thoughts too much... I don't know, maybe pick up a book, start journaling your thoughts, or even sign up for a local class that looks interesting. Hang in there...
I’ve been smoking for a while now... almost 7 years, really, through all of high school and now that I'm in college I've actually cut back a bit.. just smoke here and there. I'm a pretty normal person and I don't really notice any negative effects, except maybe my immune system being a bit stronger, though honestly, from what I can tell, you can't really call that a harmful side effect 😉
WENZE said:I was also going way overboard back in high school... there was this whole phase where I wouldn't go a single day without hitting at least 10 puffs... before class, during the long break, after school, then a few more in the afternoon, and right before bed... 😬
It's just that after a while, you kind of feel a bit duller... but once you quit, things sort of snap back to normal. It’s also kind of awkward because when you smoke too much, everything starts revolving around weed. It’s just all anyone talks about... so you lose interest in other stuff, like cars, or gaming, or sports... and it feels pretty stupid when you hang out with a group and everyone is debating it, and you're just sitting there silent... 😬
Anyway, if you're doing it in moderate amounts, I think it's mostly fine... honestly, maybe even better than some of those "normal" habits people socially accept...
It's the same story for me... I definitely used to overdo it... but I don't regret it... it was a blast... 😍 Now that I'm in college, I just smoke here and there... and that's how it'll stay... 🙂 As for the addiction thing... I haven't really noticed it... I smoke because I enjoy it, not because I feel like I desperately need it... sometimes I'll go three months—sometimes longer—without touching it at all... so I don't really get how people can say it's addictive... but hey, to each their own, right? Also, it never even crossed my mind to try anything stronger than weed... like moving from weed to something harder... I'm not totally sure about that either... but I guess it really just depends on the person... and the crowd they run with...
