My advice? Go see a pediatric endocrinologist. Growth issues fall right into their wheelhouse, among other things.
We dealt with something similar lately. Apparently, you've only got two options: pick a doctor in the city where you're going to school and transfer your records there, or stick with your current physician and just travel back whenever you're sick. You can't have one in each place.
Jessica Brown7, did she actually get prescribed anything for that dizziness after running all those tests?
Has she looked into seeing an ENT specialist yet? Nasty bouts of vertigo can actually be caused by inner ear issues.
I believe you when you say it's a nightmare—it's like being stuck in a loop. I really hope they get to the bottom of it soon.
Try mixing it with some Enzo Ferrari bitters—the box says Angostura.
Someone brought up hydrocortisone earlier. As far as I know, that's a steroid, so you shouldn't use it for long periods, just a few days at most.
I hope I didn't break any rules by mentioning a specific blood pressure monitor brand. I only brought it up to share my own experience, not to push some product or run an ad.
Could it be a Microsoft brand? If I'm following you correctly, you're looking for a blood pressure monitor.
I've heard that brand is the gold standard—super accurate, even according to doctors and pharmacists.
Basically, strep is just a bacteria in the throat that causes strep throat or tonsillitis. A throat swab is the only way to know for sure if someone actually has it. Chances are, your girlfriend went in for one of those.
You can carry it without even knowing it, and it spreads incredibly easily through contact. I'm guessing that’s your main concern—if she’s got strep, you can definitely catch it from kissing.
If you have more questions, just ask. I'm keeping this simple for you.
Maybe you'll need another round of antibiotics—though, obviously, that’s up to your doctor or dentist.
I went through something similar myself. I was cycled through Augmentin, then Cipro, then Doxycycline. The pain was just brutal, and the infection dragged on forever, so you end up needing painkillers on top of everything else.
It'll get better. As long as a professional is keeping an eye on things, you should be fine.
Maybe he should try some Bioactive? They have those little liquid shots, either with fruit or plain. I’m thinking about it because he’s taking antibiotics but barely eating anything.
I really hope those antibiotics kick in and he starts feeling better soon!
My doctor mentioned that, on average, you might still grow about two inches after your first period arrives.
This can be a real issue for girls going through early puberty, as it often ends up stalling their growth spurt.
I usually stick to Dramamine for motion sickness, so I haven't tried this new one yet. If the ingredients are the same, you probably won't notice much difference in how drowsy they make you feel.
As for activated charcoal, my doctor mentioned that’s mostly for chemical poisoning or toxins. It won't hurt if you have food poisoning, but it's not really going to help.
For diarrhea, Linex capsules work great, but if things get really bad, you might want to look into Seldiar.
Going back to the nausea issue—I just remembered there are also those wristbands, gums, or Ginger capsules. Personally, nothing else works for me besides Dramamine.
I’d also pack some basic stuff for pain or fever, like Tylenol, and obviously any regular meds you take for chronic issues (hopefully you don't have any, but you know the drill).
It might be worth asking a pharmacist for their professional opinion too.
Safe travels and have a blast!
I have no clue what causes canker sores, but I do know propolis works wonders for them. Just stick to the alcohol-free baby versions. Using the standard stuff with the high alcohol content on an open sore? That burns like crazy.
