I’m playing on this Dell XPS 17 right now, but honestly, I’m pretty lost—I haven't really got a clue where the actual download links are even located, and half the time I can't even get the installation to finish properly because I just can't find the files in the first place.🙏
Hey, what's up? So, I've run into a bit of a snag here. I just finished installing 64-bit Windows 7, but now my touchpad scrolling is completely dead—just totally unresponsive. Does anyone have any bright ideas on how to fix this?? Some people were telling me I should just sit tight and wait for an update to roll out, but honestly, that sounds like a headache. To make matters worse, my Bluetooth isn't working either. It's a Dell laptop, if that helps at all.

I mean, what kind of gear are you even running?? I'm rocking a Dell Studio line myself...
Douglas Garcia52 said:honestly, you could just toss in some more RAM to bump up the score, 👍 I’m sitting at a 3.7 with 1GB of RAM, but over at Zeta's place they've got a 4.5 with 2GB (which is funny because back when they only had 1GB, the rating was stuck at 2.9)
haha, I actually have 4GB of RAM lol, though it feels kind of low... I mean, a rig that cost like $7,000 should probably run pretty smooth, right??
So, I ran my rig through that benchmark site—you know the one—and it clocked me in at a 5.1. Honestly, I’m sitting here wondering if that’s actually decent or just a polite way of saying it’s mediocre... because, let’s be real, considering what I dropped on this setup, I was definitely expecting a clean ten out of ten, haha.
Does anyone actually know which updates are safe to grab and which ones are total junk when you're dealing with a version of Windows that doesn't exactly have a spotless pedigree? I'm talking about those less-than-official builds that haven't exactly been through the ringer of standard verification. If you've got the lowdown on what's good and what's bad, hit me up in a DM—I'd rather not brick my machine by being reckless.

Oh, thanks, the model is 1735... so what's my move?
Look, I’m hitting my late 20s now, but honestly, the whole double chin situation is starting to give me the creeps... just gross... I have this feeling that some quick cosmetic procedure could probably wipe it out, though I’m guessing it won't be exactly cheap either...

I mean, I’m pretty sure I’m better off doing it this way because... honestly, who knows, maybe it's just better that way.
I mean, I think I’ve got some decent software on my Dell that I’d definitely throw on a new build if I could, because honestly, it’s pretty solid—except for that ObjectDock thing that’s been driving me absolutely insane lately.😕
Quick question for the group... I picked up a Dell Studio 17 running Vista, but now that I've upgraded to Windows 7, I'm loving the OS but my Bluetooth is completely dead... any ideas on how to fix this? Also, how do I actually grab the drivers and the dock from the Dell site when it identifies my machine by serial number, but since I don't have a genuine Windows license anymore, it won't let me download anything?
By the way, save yourselves the headache and don't buy a Dell; mine has been sitting in the repair shop three separate times, totaling about a month of downtime, and I just finished paying it off this month. 😢
