Saw IV in Movies ·
I actually thought the movie was pretty cool.
It’s not exactly a cinematic masterpiece you’ll be thinking about for the next century, but definitely worth a watch...

Whatever...

To's just how people roll.
I thought the movie was awesome...

What the hell is happening to the world...

...??? What kind of sentence is that?

I watched the first one and thought it was great. Everyone says the sequel is the best and the third one is total trash. As for the fourth... I haven't seen it yet. But if it's got a 7.0 on IMDb, it's probably worth a watch...

Man, Saw... any kind of trap works for me

Just to add to that: the asteroid is actually "the size of Texas." One Texas is basically just how we measure asteroids on a collision course with the US...

LOL
One Texas.... two Texases.... three Texases.... haha

Man, I watched this movie ages ago. I almost lost it when Bruce Willis sacrifices himself at the end and starts sobbing to Ben Affleck... like... *sniff*... he just can't go on anymore...

cosmicraven2 said:You can't really expect much from The Walking Dead movies. The first two weren't exactly masterpieces, but honestly, I'm still stoked to catch the third one. An hour and a half of pure action, a wild plot, and Scarlett Johansson taking down zombies... sounds like a blast at the theater.

Spot on...

Are you blind or what... calling him just a "great actor"... there's so much more to say than that...☕

Eric Jackson68 said:Since you all seem so incredibly convinced of yourselves, fine then—prove it. Get out there and actually find some work. Given how much "talent" you claim to possess, I’m sure the industry will be tripping over itself to hire you. Stop hiding behind your degrees if they aren't doing anything for you; you clearly have everything you need. If those other guys managed to make it, you can too. Just let me know when you’ve finally shot an 80-minute feature that actually hits all the marks of a decent movie. I’ll be right here, waiting to watch it with absolute, breathless anticipation. Truly, I'm counting on it. You’re all just so remarkably capable. Personally, though? I’d probably just take the path of least resistance and call it a day.

Chill out, man...
What's gotten into you?
In this country, nobody can actually make it because the system is totally broken (sorry for the language, but it's the truth). Everything runs on who you know and shady connections. If you want to be a director or an actor and your parents aren't already in the industry, you're basically stuck. That's just how it works here. Unless you have "money to burn" and a dad like Warren Buffett or Elon Musk...

It's the same deal if you try to get into that top-tier drama academy that only takes like 12 people... you won't get in unless you have the right connections (or a ton of cash, though connections still come first).

I don't even know why I'm writing all this. I've never written such a long post before... 🙂
Take it easy...

Kate Torres said:Exactly. Eric Jackson68 was just pointing out that most of them aren't actually any good.

p.s. Wong Kar-Wai doesn't have a degree ☕ so go ahead, name them. I'm dying to see who else is on that list. 🙂

True, but you've also got plenty of people with degrees who totally suck...
I still stand by the idea that a degree isn't everything...

Eric Jackson68 said:And honestly, that explains exactly why we have to sit through so much absolute nonsense. Cheers to the rare exceptions who actually know what they're doing.

Come on, don't be silly...
You can find plenty of actors and directors without a degree. Let me correct that... GOOD ones!
Don't make me start listing them...

Man, who even needs a degree...

it's all a joke (if you ask some guy on the forums)

I mean, half the actors and directors in Hollywood don't even have one. Actually, make that 90%...

Jerry Martin19 said:I don't think it's that he can't act. It's more like his roles just don't give him much room to move. Most of them are those quiet characters where you mostly just have to nail the body language... I thought he did a great job as Legolas in The Lord of the Rings. I haven't really seen him in anything else with a meaty role besides Pirate movies or Troy. I'm not saying he's the greatest ever—he's just not really the type of actor people should be picking on for his acting skills.

Hmmmm. You kind of have a point there... 🙂

Man, this guy could definitely use some more acting classes...
How to get in touch with celebrities? in Movies ·
Honestly, I have no clue... maybe some foreign celebrities.
I can't think of anyone specifically. It’s not like I need anything from them, just curious for the sake of it.

Is that even possible?...
How to get in touch with celebrities? in Movies ·
So, what do you guys think... is it actually possible to get ahold of a phone number or email used by famous actors like Jessica Alba or Robert De Niro?

Has anyone here ever given it a shot, and more importantly, did anyone actually pull it off?

Personally, I’m thinking it's a total long shot, even though I haven't tried myself...
