I love hitting the hiking trails whenever I get some free time. You just have to be careful about what you do out there... even if you're playing a character as wild as Jon Voight 🤣
You're totally wrong, or maybe you just haven't seen this in a while! The guy is literally dangling over some dead grass, nearly tumbling headfirst down the slope while fumbling everything out of his pockets just to get into the frame! 😕
If I were in his shoes, I’d just crawl over there as smoothly as possible, sit down, relax with a good cup of coffee ☕ and just enjoy looking through some old family photos 🤣 🤣 🤣
I think Southern Comfort is actually pretty solid, and honestly, both movies hold up well enough 👍 since one focuses on civilians while the other follows military guys...
Deliverance feels a bit pathetic to me now, but hey, that was 1972—that’s just how they made movies back then. It's classic scene law; when Jon Voight is scaling those cliffs and hits his limit, he pulls out a family photo and that little moment is exactly what gives him the strength to keep pushing 🤣 🤣 🤣
Meryl Streep. That’s really all there is to say about it. Honestly, the movie was even worse than the book, and let's be real, the book wasn't exactly a masterpiece either.
I thought the movie was alright. Honestly, it’s better than The Maltese Falcon, which doesn't say much, but still... You thinking about extending it, Jose Miller17? Did he end up helping you out with those tires? 🙂 And what happened after that?
The first movie of his I ever saw was Exotica, and man, it was easily my least favorite. People tend to go on and on about Where the Truth Lies, but honestly, it feels like it has the least to do with his actual style. Even The Sweet Hereafter strikes me as a bit of an unsuccessful attempt at a Robert AltmanFelicia's Journey, Calendar, and The Adjuster, but my absolute favorite has to be Next of Kin. On a different note, I’ve been searching everywhere but just can't seem to track down Bach Cello Suite No. 4: Sarabande . He definitely has a gorgeous sister, though he can be such a handful! 😳
Deer Woman or Helen, the seventh episode of the Masters of Horror series, is hands down the craziest bit of trashy horror I've seen lately involving deer 😍 😍 🤣 You should definitely check it out if you haven't yet 👍
1.Brazil 2.Cabaret 3.Santa Sangre 4.The Ghost 5.Bambi 6.Usual Suspects as for me, I’d say 7. star žućo is the first one that really stuck with me—I even have the book! I think 👍 mentioned it here once before, didn't they?
Jose Miller17 said:It was a smart move for Pedro to keep the film so simple... and honestly, 'what can you even say about it' when everything is just brilliant? But I can't help feeling a massive sense of sadness about it all <--total emo moment 😁😁😁 ... what I’m really missing is that substance... you know, like the jam inside a donut, or diesel in a truck, or even just an expensive bill from a boutique in NYC... I want those raw emotions, that chemistry between those lonely women... but let's not hang Pedro just because of some old folk saying about the gallows...
Wait, did you watch it with subtitles?? Does that mean that's really it? Like, I didn't miss anything at all?? 😕 Well, we aren't going to lynch him, but still... *sniff*...👎 It feels a little thin, doesn't it?
I watched it without subtitles, so I was pretty much flying blind half the time. 😕 He’s playing that same old character we saw in Femmes au bord de la crise de nerfs and Que he hecho yo para merecer esto. 😍 Penelope looks absolutely stunning here!😁 It actually reminds me a bit of his older stuff—you know, those classic family dramas or comedies. It leans into that theatrical, TV-movie vibe every now and then, but honestly, it doesn't really bother me.
Andrew Scott98 said:...I personally think he's an incredible columnist and journalist, and honestly, just a really sharp guy. He was always my go-to read whenever a new movie was coming out. I truly hope everything works out for him and that we see him back at his keyboard again soon. 🙂
It’s pretty much like reading Kosinski. You start diving into his work and, honestly, there are moments where it just makes your stomach turn. Some people feel they have to power through every single word he ever wrote, while others decide to bail out after that first gut reaction. Honestly, I think both approaches are perfectly valid.
So, if you’ve got a strong stomach and a brave heart—go ahead and check it out.
Personally, I find Kosinski’s whole body of work to be consistently intense, whereas Noah seems to be on a steady upward trajectory. It actually felt totally natural for him to follow this up with Irreversible, and now I’m genuinely curious to see what kind of direction he takes with his next film. 👍
