Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Michael Diaz4 said:Hadensa provides decent cooling relief—but honestly, it didn't really do much for me. Then again, I was already at the final stage where nothing seems to touch the pain. It’s worth a shot, though; I know one other person it didn't help either. Some people swear by it, I guess... anyway, what did your doctor say? Did they give you a specific grade for the hemorrhoids?

She didn't give me much detail, really—just handed me a referral to a proctologist and prescribed some Canesten and Faktu ointment. The waiting lists are incredibly long right now... so for the time being, I'm just stuck waiting and trying to tough it out.🙄

And that’s my final word on this matter. At the end of the day, who you choose to listen to on this thread is entirely up to you. Just please keep in mind that advice found on a forum isn't a substitute for seeing a doctor—if things take a turn for the worse or if you hurt yourself, that's on you.

Look, melloworca6... sometimes these tips are actually quite helpful. For instance, I reached out to my doctor and explained that even after using Fact ointment and Canesten, the itching just won't quit. I told her I've tried practically every cream under the sun, and all she says is, "Well, I gave you the Canesten in case it was a fungal issue, so just keep applying that." She only prescribed one little tube that lasts maybe a week or two—so what am I supposed to do then? Instead of scheduling more tests, she seems completely indifferent, even though I constantly tell her how hard this is to deal with. I really want her to check my stool samples and other things, but whenever I need advice or help, I feel terrible because I already know what her response will be. She avoids prescribing anything meaningful. It’s not really the main topic here—and it ties back to that discussion we had about hormones on the other thread—but she just brushed it off by saying everyone's hormone levels fluctuate from high to low, and left it at that.

I have to keep buying things on my own now, because obviously, these creams could make things worse, but they’re currently my only solution—without them, it's even more unbearable. It’s honestly a disaster how many bad doctors are out there! If it weren't for this forum, I wouldn't even know about some of these other creams... frankly, my doctor is being far too stingy with actual advice.

Someone suggested I look for some propolis ointment mentioned here on the forum, but unfortunately, I checked the local shops in my town today and couldn't find anything. 😢

Michael Diaz4, once I head over to Canada, I'll give your suggestion a shot.

Does anyone have experience with Hadens cream? Sadly, they don't sell it here where I live. 😢

Michael Diaz4 said:So you aren't sure if it's just hemorrhoids...? Like, are you actually certain you have enlarged hemorrhoids at all?

What part of my post made you think I don't know what's going on? My doctor actually suggested a stool sample to check for parasites—she's worried there might be a fungal issue involved since the itching is just relentless. That’s really the main issue here! To be fair, I do have some other symptoms too... some bleeding and discomfort during bowel movements, but that happens so rarely it's almost negligible compared to this constant itch.

I'm heading out tomorrow to pick up some propolis; hopefully, that helps ease things a bit.

velvetmoose9 said:It definitely makes sense to run some tests for Candida—checking stool samples or even urine might be worth it.
Maybe try tweaking the diet too—cutting back significantly on highly refined carbohydrates could help.
I’m assuming at least some basic lab work has been done?

Niven products (like the ointment or gel), along with some propolis ointment, can really take the edge off these symptoms for certain people, so those options are worth exploring.

Thanks everyone for the input. I’ve read that you shouldn't scratch... but honestly, how am I supposed to stop when the itching is absolutely maddening? I end up causing little abrasions myself, which just makes the itching even worse, but I just can't help it!

The doctor basically just took a quick look (prescribed Faktu, gave some advice—suggesting olive oil, butter, etc.) and handed me a referral for a specialist. Now I'm just waiting for them to call me in, though I hear the wait times for an appointment can stretch on for months.😢

She also suspected pinworms or maybe a fungal issue... I did run some tests for parasites, but everything came back negative. So, we'll see. The worst part is hearing people say their specialist just prescribed suppositories or some random ointment. If that's all there is to it, I could just do that myself without the hassle of an appointment. I'm just hoping for a real solution, then we'll see.

I'll give the propolis a shot... Thanks. 🙂

Michael Diaz4... I don't think my situation is settling down. In the beginning, I had similar issues—some pain here and there—but never this kind of itching. It only started about a month or two ago, and now the itching won't go away no matter what. 😢

Thanks for all the advice!

Hi there! I’m going to try posting this here as well—I would really appreciate any advice someone might have.

For about two months now, I’ve been dealing with this unbearable itching around my anal area. Occasionally, I notice a tiny bit of blood when I go to the bathroom, but it’s very minimal and happens quite rarely. I suspect I have hemorrhoids, and I likely have a fissure as well. I’ve tried just about everything to manage this itching. At first, it only happened at night, but now it’s constant throughout the day. It’s most intense at night and right after I shower—even though I try to wash the area with just water and no soap—but the itching persists regardless.

The only slight relief comes after I dry off and apply some cream, but then the stinging and itching start up again—it honestly feels like something is crawling on my skin... that’s how strange it is. It truly drives you crazy.

I tried using Fact, but it didn't help; if anything, it seemed to make things worse. I’ve gone through olive oil, Modolex, aloe vera—basically everything I could think of or read about—but nothing seems to work. The only thing that provides even a modicum of relief is calendula gel... though even that only lasts for maybe two or three hours before the cycle starts all over again.

I already had a swab test done for parasites, and that came back negative. Now, I’m just waiting to get an appointment scheduled with a proctologist, but until then, I have no idea how I’m going to endure this—it is absolutely unbearable!!!

Could it be yeast? I honestly don't know... or perhaps an allergy, since the irritation seems to be spreading beyond just the immediate area.

Is it actually possible for hemorrhoids to itch this much? They aren't really painful, except maybe occasionally during a bowel movement or if the area is touched, but otherwise, there's no pain!

The itching gets even more intense right after I use the bathroom... it's just terrible. 😢 I genuinely don't know if it will stay this way, or how I'm going to cope with all of this.

Bradley Patel2 said:Hi everyone!
I actually really love my username. It carries some emotional weight for me; I didn't just pick it at random. I wouldn't want to change it, but it looks like I have to. A different user, Bradley Patel2, suddenly appeared on the forum, and worst of all, we both frequently post in the religion subforum. You can imagine how awkward that gets. I wouldn't be surprised if other members constantly mistake us for one another. Because of that, I’d like to kindly ask if you could change my nickname to Canadian Girl1983. I thought about suggesting others—something much more modern or catchy, like Rock 'n' Roll Cat or Queen Sword—but those don't seem to fit the rules. Regardless, I would want to properly notify the other members about the change, especially if they don't realize it's me right away. So, if it isn't too much trouble, please let me know what steps to take and exactly who I should contact. Thanks in advance!

Fellow American... I didn't just pop up out of nowhere; I actually registered before you did. 🙂 Though, to be honest, I hadn't noticed you over in the religion section until today when I saw your nickname... I actually had a moment where I thought, "Wait, did I post that?" 🤣 Then I took a closer look and realized it was a different username after all. 🙂

It happens to everyone—honestly, when you finally step away from a relationship, it’s like you can finally breathe again. That’s just how it goes, I guess.😁

Inside. 😍
And once that's done, there’s no going back—you can't just edit it. Your only real option at that point is to reach out to a moderator and ask them to delete it for you. 😉

And honestly, I’m proud that I didn't steal a thing during the war; I never kicked out my Canadian or Mexican neighbors, and I can look them straight in the eye whenever we cross paths. I owe that to my mother—she raised me better than that.👍.

Something smarter and much better written—I haven't read anything like this in ages! Truly impressive. 👍 😉

And his response was—if they don't think the Sand Hill crowd are Turks, then why were they even speaking that way? Honestly, guys, I know exactly what I wrote!!! 😉

Jonathan Miller said:Well, if the Sandjak residents claim they aren't Turkish, then why on earth were they shouting "THIS IS TURKEY!" during those protests a few years back?

It’s like how some Americans might jokingly call themselves Russian—where does that even make sense? 😂 😂 😂
They can say whatever they want... they aren't Turkish. 😉 If those protesters were making noise, we're talking about a few thousand people—not the entire population of 2.3 million. 😉 You have to look at history a bit more closely... they are Canadians, just as a Canadian is a Canadian whether they are in Canada, living in the States, or anywhere else in the world.

Jonathan Miller said:As an American, I feel a deep sense of pride in what my nation and my country have endured through the centuries... the blood spilled, the forced conversions to Catholicism, the apostasy, and the wars fought against the greatest powers of the era. Take, for example, the aftermath of the American Revolution; out of a population of five million Americans, over 3.5 million were killed, leaving only about one and a half million scattered across the land. Despite the presence of those of Turkish descent, we survived. Today, Americans of Turkish descent make up only 1.8% of our population, mostly concentrated in the Southwest. During World War I, when we stood our ground at the Battle of Cer against the Austro-Canadian Empire—fighting alongside Canadians, Austrians, and others—we secured a crucial victory that turned the tide of that war. I am proud of our legendary American Dukes, I am proud of Nikola Tesla, and I am proud of the Midwest, the Great Plains, and the Back. I am proud to live in a town like Chicago. I am proud that the American Army was the only force in the world to shoot down an "invisible plane." I am proud that, in the end, there will be an American Victory regardless of what is being done to us now. I am proud that my people possess the grandest traditions in all of Europe. I am proud that we have always resisted globalization. I am proud of my affinity for the Russians. I am proud to be Orthodox. I am proud to be an American!!!

I honestly had no idea there were still Turks living in Mexico today 🙄 😂—unless you're thinking of the Sandwich Islands maybe? If that's what you mean, you're mistaken.😉

Way to go, Snow White—this topic is absolutely fantastic 🙂..and I have to say, I’m loving your signature style!!! 😉

I feel such a deep sense of pride in Canada, despite everything we've had to weather—especially over the last 14 or 15 years. We're still out here trying to live normal lives... or at least, we're doing our best to make that happen. There is so much beauty to celebrate in places like Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh,... and all our other great cities, from the charm of Old Town to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. I'm honestly so proud of our diverse cultures and faiths; there’s a certain spirit people carry—no matter what they've been through, they always manage to find a silver lining. And don't even get me started on the talent we have—whether it's music, football, or anything else... I could go on about that until sunrise!!! 😉
