Bumps on breasts in Health ·
Look, I just mentioned I got that via email—I wasn't sure about the exact details, but the symptoms felt pretty familiar to me...
She was asking if anyone knew what it was, and since it seemed somewhat recognizable, I just shared my experience.

Maybe my answer wasn't the most helpful, but saying "it's nothing and I have it too" isn't much better, really. You didn't mention if you actually saw a dermatologist who told you it was nothing, or if you just decided it was fine on your own without any testing?

I don’t want to freak anyone out—really, I don't—but I just got an email about a specific type of cancer. These were the symptoms listed:

1. Constant redness, oozing, or scabbing on the nipple that leads to a rash and
inflammation (When I dealt with this, I didn't really get a rash
or much inflammation, and there wasn't any discharge—just some scabbing
along the edge of the areola on one side).

2. A sore on the nipple that just won't heal. (Mine was more on the areola, with a sort of whitish
patch right in the center of the nipple).

3. It usually only affects one side.

I have no clue if this is legit or just some random thing—like I said, I just got it in an email from a friend. I'm not sure how many of these match what you're feeling, but maybe it's worth getting checked out just to be safe?

Anxiety and stress relief from homeopathic brands at local pharmacies usually runs about $23, though if you head to their own shop—I think it’s near a CVS over in Chicago—you can grab it for around 50.
Usually, you just have to ask if they carry any homeopathic remedies, since not every drugstore keeps them in stock. You just tell them you're looking for something for stress and anxiety, and most people know exactly what you mean...

They’re a little pricey, I'll admit, but they’ve really worked for me. Percenter helps too, but only when the anxiety is pretty mild.

It was pretty much the same for me—it always seemed to hit hardest right when I was trying to fall asleep. So, I started taking those three little pellets before bed, and honestly, it made such a difference.

I ended up seeing a therapist (I was under a massive amount of stress back then) and they told me it was basically anxiety. But, I wasn't really interested in prescription meds, and my doctor wasn't pushing them too hard either. Instead, they suggested looking into some herbal remedies for calming down, something like Valerian root.
I actually spotted those homeopathic pellets for stress and anxiety at a local CVS and decided to give them a shot—and man, they actually worked.
I even sent an email to the manufacturer, HomeoLab, explaining what I was going through, and they advised me to stick with the granules for about three months.
For me, the biggest thing was avoiding side effects and making sure I wouldn't end up hooked on something.
Honestly, the title alone screamed panic attack to me—because if you’ve ever been through one, you know that feeling of being like, "Oh my God, I'm actually dying," just like he described.
He also brings up the anxiety and that weird weakness in your legs... yeah, those are pretty textbook symptoms...

Actually, whether it's one or the other, you really ought to stay away from coffee altogether. Not much of a choice there, really.

Are you feeling stressed out? I actually went through something pretty similar—turned out they were just panic attacks. But the weird part was, right when it all started, my doctor also found out I'd just recovered from mono 😕

How long does this weakness last? Is it an all-day thing or just a quick fifteen minutes or so? Because if it’s short-lived, it might just be panic attacks.

After running all the tests, it turns out my thyroid is running a bit slow—maybe it’s worth getting your hormones checked out?

Back when I was dealing with stuff like this, I tried some homeopathic tablets and things eventually settled down for me.
I grabbed this from WebMD—it looks like you might be checking off some of these symptoms

Panic attack symptoms usually include:
-racing heart
-shortness of breath
-chest pain
-flushing and sweating
-feeling nauseous
-trembling hands or full-body shakes
-general sickness
-confusion
-dry mouth
-sudden bathroom urgency
-weakness.
The whole experience can be so intense and uncomfortable that people often genuinely think they're having a heart attack. Some folks feel their bodily reactions are so extreme and out of control that they feel like they're just standing on the sidelines watching it happen.
They aren't necessarily describing anything "out of body," but more like feeling detached from reality—like everything around them just isn't real. This is called "depersonalization." And while it might seem like a weird way to escape the panic, it actually makes the whole thing even worse.

Then there's another group—people who experience these attacks totally out of the blue. Sometimes it’s tied to general anxiety—that constant, nagging feeling where those peak symptoms keep bubbling up. But other times, they just hit you for no reason at all. When that happens, you start worrying about it happening again in the same spot, which can lead to phobias and generalized anxiety. It’s a classic case of anxiety feeding itself—just one big, frustrating loop.
Generally speaking, if you struggle with panic disorder, doctors usually tell you to steer clear of coffee—though I think it’s really just a warning about caffeine in general.

Weight loss questions??!! in Health ·
So, I ran into this woman at my gym the other day—honestly, I was convinced she’d just finished fighting off leukemia or something.
She was maybe 5'7" but probably weighed around 90 pounds tops. She signed up for this intense fat-burning program, but ended up quitting because she felt the workouts weren't hard enough and she wasn't even breaking a sweat. 😕

Is it possible she's already an athlete and just overtraining?

I’ve definitely dealt with my fair share of health anxiety myself—been dealing with it for almost as long as you have.
Mind you, I only spent a few months convinced I was having a massive heart attack, right up until the moment I realized you don't usually spend two whole months dying of one—it tends to be a bit more immediate than that.
If something were actually wrong with your heart for years, you probably wouldn't be here to post about it.
I went in for an EKG once, and honestly, just seeing that everything looked normal was such a huge relief.

Maybe it’s worth getting your thyroid levels checked out? A little hormonal imbalance there could totally be what's causing all this.

Urticaria?

Look, allergies don't just clear up that fast... might be worth considering if it was actually something you ate or maybe even just the weather...
