Round 15: Singapore Grand Prix in Formula 1 ·
Besides, starting this season, the Ferrari crew is exclusively Italian. There's no Ross Brawn anymore, no Jean Todt... I guess there's nobody left to really enforce order, work ethic, or discipline.

I'm not sure. I suspect that nobody after Michael Schumacher has held, or will ever hold, anywhere near that level of authority there.

wearyraven41 said:It probably wouldn't have happened to him the way it did to Moss, since he wouldn't allow anyone to gamble with such a clumsy pit crew system—just as Schumacher wouldn't have allowed him to drive like that.

Do you really think any driver after Schumacher actually has that kind of say at Ferrari? I guess I'm not so sure about that myself.

Forget Kimi... let's go Alonso for the championship! 😬

I suppose all the mechanics are going to be focusing on high-intensity interval training now. You know, all that sprinting and agility work... 😁

"Pull, tug, pull... it just won't come out." 😁

Maybe take another look... it looks pretty clearly like it's an employee. They're sitting in one of those silver cars, filming.

Man, if only you could actually read someone's mind or record their thoughts... I'd give anything to hear what Massine was thinking in that exact moment. 😬

🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂 This is a pretty funny clip; you might want to watch it quickly before it gets taken down.😁

Laughter... they really did get caught by that damn thing. 🤣

Morgan Murphy7 said:Alright, fadedpanther4, why are you exposing our hot water supply like this? 😁

Maybe because some people constantly ignore the fact that hot water is actually a good thing... 😛

Morgan Murphy7 said:But Lewis Hamilton took the win today because it carries an 11%

you know what I mean? 🙏

Which one?
I don't get it. 😛

Morgan Murphy7 said:Honestly, folks, I think the most important takeaway from this race is that we’ve finally eliminated the possibility of Kimi being Unfairly crowned champion again! 🙏

Let's slow down a bit... there's still enough time for Kimi to pull off a Masterful performance in those last three races. 😬

wearyraven41 said:If there were any scenario where his car wouldn't have to fight its way from 15th to 1st, he'd probably be winning regularly from pole position...

I guess if the driver you're talking about had been driving Massin's car... or rather, if he were in Massin Place today... what kind of result do you think he would actually get?

Come on, please, it's not like everyone else on the grid is doing a terrible job. 😉

you just sort of latched onto my posts...

why are you so certain that every single comment on this forum is directed at you? 🤷

If I'm not mistaken—and I don't think I am—you were responding to my comment about Alonso's masterful driving. That’s why I gave you the answer I did.

It seems you're a bit sensitive, much like a few others here.
Sorry, I didn't mean to upset you. 🙂

hollowhawk412 said:I suppose that’s what makes Fernando Alonso so great... he pushed him right to the edge, but he never actually crossed the line. 😉

Even Kimi Räikkönen couldn't have done it. The barrier just wouldn't let him. 😬

hollowhawk412 said:To say he drove brilliantly is an understatement... I think his fastest lap was about a second and a half behind the Ferrari... but Renault seems to be struggling a bit more this year... especially when things get hot, the Ferrari becomes pretty difficult to catch... so I suppose Blažica is right when he said the driving was masterful... if you just look at his stint times, you'll see he was consistently fast.

Sorry, but I'm not going to be convinced that Alonso's drive today was anything short of brilliant, no matter how you frame it.

He won, and credit where credit is due for that.
But, in my opinion, there wasn't anything particularly "masterful" about it.

hollowhawk412 said:You guys can say whatever you want, but the way he throws the car around the track, taking those massive risks and pushing everything to the absolute limit... not many people actually do that.

Well... I mean... Kimi Räikkönen ended up throwing his car too, at the end of the day... 😬

Bradley Nelson2 said:No, I didn't. I just deleted it because I have no interest in arguing with someone who has followed this sport for so long yet still makes such a ridiculous claim. 🙂

In that case, maybe you should just go rewatch the start.
And if my posts are so stupid, then don't read them... 😛
Round 15: Singapore Grand Prix in Formula 1 ·
Bradley Nelson2, I guess you went back to rewatch the start and that "controversial" moment between Robert Kubica and Heikki Kovalainen, which is probably why you deleted your post. ☕

Morgan Murphy7 said:Regarding Felipe Massa, I suppose you couldn't really expect him to keep driving while dealing with a Lollipop issue.

But if it had been Kimi Räikkönen, he probably would have shaken it off before even leaving the pits. 🙏

You think so? Well, I guess if nothing else, he’s just a bit more resourceful. 😁
