Round 15: Singapore Grand Prix in Formula 1 ·
stormybadger8 said:It’s pretty ridiculous that they decided to install such a basic kill switch—one that won't even let you turn on the lights until the hose is completely disconnected from the car.😉 Honestly, they don't even need the guy.😉

Absolute genius... I guess it's pretty obvious we come from the same neck of the woods. 😛
I guess it depends. What happens if the guy with the air hose finishes his job, but then things go sideways—like the kids putting a wheel on the car get stuck with a jammed gun, a nut falls off, or the wheel just rolls away? What's the protocol in that situation? 😬

Šta'š... collective consciousness... or just madness. 😬

I was honestly blown away by today's race! 😍
I guess I’m just not sure where to even begin.

That start was impressive... nobody really messed anyone up. Well, maybe a little bit of contact between Kubica and Kovalainen, but it was minor. And knowing how Kubica drives and carries himself, I don't think there was any bad intention there.

It was also interesting to see Kimi so sharp right at the start. Honestly, he hasn't been that focused lately. 😍

I was also struck by how quickly Massa managed to pull away from Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen.

Kimi ( 😍 ) was quite something when he suddenly started cranking out those fastest laps and closing the gap on Lewis Hamilton. Anything could have happened there. 😬

The track felt incredibly narrow... you could really tell when someone dropped a part from their car and nobody dared to go out and grab it near the edge. They just started waving yellow flags instead. Even Mark Webber tried to "clear" it from the track himself. 😬

Massa stood out to me again. I mean, how much of an idiot do you have to be to spend three laps circling some random debris that fell off a car, only to drive straight over it the very next lap?!

And then there's Nelson Piquet. Look, man, just because your name is Nelson Piquet doesn't automatically mean you're actually talented enough for Formula 1.

The way the whole order completely fell apart once the Pace Car pulled off was pretty wild. 😵

I suppose I could go on with more observations... there would be plenty to find.
I can only say that what fascinated me most was the Ferrari pit box. I don't get it—why couldn't Massa just drive with that piece of junk hanging from his fuel tank?! I mean, what if it had been flapping around and putting the other drivers in direct danger?

Oh, and one more thing... Blažica's commentary about Fernando Alonso's "masterful" driving caught my attention. 🙄 What exactly was masterful about it? The guy just took whatever was handed to him on a silver platter. To me, "masterful" would have been charging from 15th to 1st and overtaking everyone in his path. The guy won. He deserved it. But there's nothing particularly fascinating about that to me. 🙂

And what exactly did I say? 😛

fadedpanther4 said:Well... why is everyone driving opposite to the arrows on the asphalt then? 😬

What fight? It was just a "friendly" exchange of ideas and some mutual "respect." 😁

Whatever works for you. 😉

Nicole Reyes97 said:I don't find you interesting enough to bother arguing with... I still try to maintain some respect for my elders, I guess.☕🙂

It’s pretty obvious you find me more interesting than you’re willing to admit, especially given how heated you got over my comment about the Renault fans. Besides, you aren't even a Renault supporter yourself. You’re just a girl rooting for Lewis Hamilton. It doesn't really matter which car he's driving.

As for my age... I can see how much you respect your elders, given how much you insist on bringing up my years. Don't worry, though—that "deep" old age is coming for you too... much sooner than you might expect. 😛

Enjoy yourself, Mary. 👋

placidsurfer9 said:No... there’s more, but I’m currently working on something that doesn't allow me to type... luckily I managed to grab those 5 minutes of downtime... that was what really caught my eye... 😁

Well, fair enough... the end was definitely the most interesting part anyway. 👍

placidsurfer9 said:Mass drove a great race... and so did Hamilton, considering he was in fifth... I feel bad that Sebastian Vettel lost fourth place in those last thirty seconds...

And you managed to catch all of that in just the final five minutes of qualifying? 😁

Michael Lee4 said:So now... how much fuel does everyone actually have left? 😁

Haha... that's the million-dollar question. 😁
Maybe McLaren won't play the strategy game quite as much with Lewis Hamilton.

But man, those guys on the pit crew... they're driving me crazy. 🙄

Nicole Reyes97 said:Look, let's just be real here—you don't need to act like we're on good terms by calling me "sweetie" or "honey."🤣🤣

Are we doing alright?
I guess someone's being a bit imaginative... 😁

Nicole Reyes97 said:If I take what you said literally, it means I don't even have the right to call you out... but since you actually wrote that, I suppose I'm allowed to give you an answer.☕Do you have an issue with that?😛

Honey, you can have whatever you want.
Just to be clear, I wasn't referring to any of your posts. You're really not that interesting to me. 😛

Nicole Reyes97 said:I was just commenting based on what the practice sessions were showing regarding qualifying potential... I'm not so delusional that I'd expect anything more than that. And it’s certainly not anyone else's fault if you aren't reading between the lines properly (my words, I don't care how others do it)☕

Micica, give it a rest. I wasn't referring to a single one of your posts.
You aren't really that tense. 😛

E... I wonder why they all drive in the opposite direction of the arrows on the pavement? 😬

Michael Lee4 said:You think? Taylor Swift had no clue; she probably froze up when she saw where the kid was 🤣

Taylor Swift is getting a little exhausting. 🙄
It’s kind of like how people used to obsess over Kimi Räikkönen back in the day.

Michael Lee4 said:Regarding strategy, I suspect someone on a one-stop plan might benefit if there's an SC on track tomorrow (and the odds of that happening seem pretty high).

Well... I suppose that's the direction McLaren and Lewis Hamilton are heading. 😉

Nicole Reyes97 said:Where on earth did you read that? Please, tell me.☕

Read between the lines, darling... read between the lines. 😛

Nicole Reyes97 said:Everyone’s entitled to their own take and to hope for the best. I guess you probably feel the same way about Ferrari and Charles Leclerc, or maybe you just always expect the worst?🥳

I'm not holding my breath or expecting much. I'm just watching qualifying and enjoying the ride.
I’m looking forward to a good, honest race. That’s all. 😛

Ferrari might be cooking up a pretty aggressive strategy for Lewis Hamilton tomorrow. 🤔
15. Miami Grand Prix in Formula 1 ·
It’s honestly pretty funny watching the Renault crew get all worked up the second Alonso tops a practice session, acting like they've already secured the win... or even the championship. 😬
