brightpilot6 said:The path Thompson is taking is the same one being trodden by the fans of the LA Dodgers. Robert Torres is poking a little fun at us, but honestly, someone like Madrono—who prioritizes flashiness and has an insatiable hunger for the big leagues—is miles ahead of where we stand right now.

It’s quite a journey, isn't it? To watch the evolution from that gritty, long-haired heavy metalhead, known only in his small hometown and obsessed with primitive displays of machismo like leather jackets and motorcycles, to this polished, gelled-up superstar who hosts events in ridiculously expensive venues and moves massive amounts of merch, all while never truly shedding those old-school, aggressive roots that made him a force in the scene to begin with.

The day is coming...

I can't help but wonder what might have happened to his career if, back in those early days, he’d decided to pack a Heckler or maybe an Uzi instead of sticking with that Thompson... it really makes you think about how much things could have shifted...

Come on now, don't lie to me...

As a two-time voter for the Bridge Party, I really have to find myself agreeing with what Carlitov was saying... it's just all getting to be way too much...

Has anyone actually seen someone get screwed over by a bad call during the Euros, only to have people on Reddit acting like it was some kind of brilliant tactical masterstroke...

Walter Grant5 said:Look, you obviously can't predict if someone’s actually gonna snap, but it does point toward certain behavioral red flags.

And nah, not everyone fits that stereotype. Not everyone wears cheap knockoffs, flips people off in every photo, or drives an old Mercedes-Benz with an eighteen-year-old engine. Besides, even the ones who do all that? They aren't exactly role models. Honestly, none of them are.

I know the guy who got picked up by the cops personally. He was backing some dude up—just because he's one more bottom-feeding cop enthusiast—and he fits the profile perfectly, both online and IRL. I know his history. I know the people he's caused trouble with. I know how much time they've spent behind bars and exactly why.

Obviously, we shouldn't label a kid riding a bike at 15 as a psychopath, nor is it so dire that no minor should ever touch a motorcycle. I'm just saying, from what I've seen, these are the types who'll clock 70 mph through a neighborhood where kids are playing. I personally know two people who grew up with that "lifestyle" and ended up causing massive wreckage. One literally cut a woman in half with reckless driving through a residential area, and the other—after years of terrorizing neighborhoods—ended up killing both themselves and their passenger.

The kid basically spends every other post pouring his heart out over his car...

It’s honestly pretty tough to spot a psychopath unless you really take the time to sit there and study them for a while... but this guy was basically screaming "I'm a total psycho" just through his Facebook photos

Matthew Young35 said:Alcohol was ultimately the culprit here.

My absolute favorite story has to be that one guy from rural Pennsylvania—I think it was back in the late 90s—who spent his entire day drinking some local version of a heavy malt liquor with his wife and son, and then he just completely lost it that night and killed her because he genuinely thought she was a fox...

Moderator being abusive in the soccer subforum in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Gary Cooper3 said:Honestly, I’ve never had anything negative to say about any of our moderators before—not even when we’re deep in those heated political debates where things get pretty intense and people start throwing punches... but what our respected colleague Larry Rivera83 is doing over in the sports section is just a bit much for my liking. I won't even bother pasting his two specific posts, I'll just point you toward the whole thread so you can see exactly why this moderator is being so disrespectful:

It’s completely unprovoked, there was no fuel added to the fire, no actual arguments presented... it was just pure insults, twice now, without a shred of shame. And what’s most glaring is that he seems to be the only one having these obvious issues with how he carries himself, and if I’m being honest, it feels like there might be some deeper personal stuff going on, because I just can't see any other explanation for it...

My apologies. That was a shameful outburst on my part that I really shouldn't have let happen.

Gary Cooper3 said:By the way, this isn't actually the first time he’s gone after someone (this time, by total coincidence, it was me saying that this kind of thing has happened quite a bit)...

That’s true. The last time I ever insulted another user was back in 2009. I appreciate you remembering that. Just out of curiosity, what was your username back then, just so we can all get a better sense of who we're talking about?

Gary Cooper3 said:And since I reacted to his insult by firing one right back at him, I’d ask that I receive whatever penalty is appropriate too. I don't know if there's a specific ban for insulting a moderator, but if there is, then so be it... I just think we should be having a real discussion here instead of just trading insults.

I’m asking that the user doesn't receive a warning card.
