Honestly, you all can just take your obsession with Skrewdriver and shove it... seriously, what a complete disaster! image
I find myself wondering... how on earth can anyone actually listen to Skrewdriver? 🙂

He was a garbage man through and through—and he stayed one... Thank God for Joey and Dea Deeja. 😬

That's a fair point you made there. :emo:

I just can't quite wrap my head around it—how someone who comes up with something like "Damn it duck, life is short" and then decides to actually record it and present it to the masses can be considered "talented." And honestly? He can't even sing. Not in that Berman or Dylan sort of way—just, well, he simply can't. It's a shame, really... that's just how it is. 🙂
Adam Moore said:Suppose a certain individual emerges onto the scene—someone whose music absolutely shatters your soul, truly transcendent stuff—but then you realize that this person openly champions Nazism, or perhaps advocates for violence against women, or some other equally abhorrent ideology... would you actually continue to listen to them? I find myself wondering how one reconciles such a profound aesthetic experience with such reprehensible personal convictions. And, if I may be so bold as to ask, how did you all navigate these kinds of moral dilemmas during your teenage years? It was such a turbulent time for everyone, wasn't it... a period of intense discovery mixed with such overwhelming confusion...

No.

Adam Moore The user said:I find it somewhat... amusing—if you can call it that—how certain segments of the anarcho-punk scene—a subculture that ostensibly champions radical individuality—actually demand that everyone conform to a very specific, rigid standard of behavior, dress, and general aesthetic. It is quite the paradox, isn't it? A friend of mine recently attempted to set up a small vendor stall at an anarchist book fair out in Seattle, and he was flat-out rejected by certain punks because his style didn't fit their narrow definition of "authentic"... they basically told him he didn't "fit the vibe" or match the expected grit... such irony... 🙏

Adam Moore said:Look, I’ve come to this conclusion after much deliberation—honestly, I don't care what kind of person someone is in their private life... all that matters to me is the music. It’s the art that remains when the person fades away. Take Lou Reed, for example—to my mind, he was an absolute piece of work, truly detestable—but the Velvet Underground? Pure genius. And *Transformer* is nothing short of a masterpiece... then you have Kurt Cobain and Curtis Mayfield, both of whom ended their lives and left their daughters behind to pick up the pieces. Even someone like a public figure like George W. Bush can be a complete jerk sometimes—though, granted, there are moments where he’s actually quite mild-mannered... As for John Lennon, he was just a dirty hippie through and through, and Johnny Cash... well, let's just say he was unfaithful to June Carter Cash with just about any woman who crossed his path. Yet, none of that stops me from absolutely loving their music. It's a strange thing, isn't it? Back when I was a teenager playing music myself, there was this rigid pressure—this feeling that if you were in a band, you had to fit into one specific, narrow mold just to be considered listenable...

Lou Reed was a jerk. Kurt Cobain was a jerk. John Lennon was a jerk. As for Ripper—well, he’s just an untalented individual, really, and I honestly can't fathom why we even bother discussing him... But regarding Johnny Cash, I feel compelled to offer a correction—if I may be so bold. He cheated on his first wife, you know—the woman who actually wanted him to just work at a vacuum cleaner store—and frankly, if I were in his shoes, I probably would have done the exact same thing... imageIn thirty-five years of marriage—thirty-five whole years!—he never once, and I mean absolutely never, stepped out on June Carter Cash. He’s just a class act... truly the greatest.
Emily Thomas3 said:besides, that’s their only punk track—and honestly, I’m always down for some punk... 😛

Actually, every single song on that album is punk—you just have to be incredibly open-minded to realize it... 🙂
Emily Thomas3 said:I guess I'll skip it then—since that's their only punk track, and I'm really in the mood for some actual punk music...

Well, you said it once, and that’s that. 😬
gentlepuma20 certainly has some interesting tastes, doesn't he... 😍

When I step back and look at the whole picture, I have to say—it was quite alright. The Ramones were a bit of a mess, though, if we’re being honest... but hey, to each their own. Now, Eric Clapton? He is absolutely legendary. 😬
I personally feel the concert should be curated exactly how unknown envisions it—after all, the man truly has impeccable taste...

I certainly understand where you're coming from... I really do. image
I find it incredibly attractive when guys constantly moan about being broke, or how they just got dumped, or how they got totally screwed over by ExxonMobil or Apple... you know, those types who act like they just don't give a damn about anything anymore. Those are honestly my favorites. 😬
Adam Moore said:Man, these indie kids are seriously getting on my last nerve.

If anyone around here actually qualifies as an "indie kid," it’s definitely you! I’ve seen you—you’re out there rocking those band tees! 😁
Kevin Chavez3 said:My take? mistypanther is just so incredibly worked up—honestly, it’s almost funny—that he doesn't even realize he's actually agreeing with Borg😂

That certainly brings a smile to my face... image
I personally don't have any real issue with music being used in commercials—honestly, I’m not some radical anti-establishment type... money is necessary. You need it for a cabin up in the mountains, for traveling across the USA, for getting an album pressed, for diapers, coffee, vinyl, and all those other little things that just make life worth living... 🙂

This is my first time posting here... I always make sure to warn you that you're basically walking straight into a lion's den—or maybe a gorilla in a furnace, if we're being poetic—but this time around, I’m going to be the one waiting there to tackle you head-on. 🙂

Because of this—honestly—I am going to personally send you to prison. 😠
I’m leaning toward a fourth option—something like a self-titled debut or perhaps an album named after one of its standout tracks, much like Red Light... If the guys actually go for that, they might just find themselves stuck in a permanent state of pretentious hell. 🙂
