It really just depends on what you’re actually looking for, because Getaldus has his own specific brands he tends to push... but honestly, if you want the high-end, sophisticated stuff, you’ve gotta look way beyond their local office.
I personally swap out my contacts every six years, so I'm super picky about which ones I end up with... and let me tell you, the "top-tier" lenses Getaldus tried to sell me as their absolute best were total junk compared to the ones they recommended over at Holy Spirit. 🤷
Ashley Campbell7 said:It’s funny, because I had the exact same experience back when I was just a kid attending the local elementary school... I wasn't exactly thrilled with the quality of care there. Fast forward to now, and I've been going to the Mayo Clinic for five years straight. Honestly, my doctor there is wonderful... she's this blonde woman, though I can't quite recall her name at the moment.
The selection at Cleveland Clinic isn't even that great anymore, their lens options are pretty weak—they used to be way better a few years back... but man, I was hunting for those hard lenses with the absolute highest oxygen permeability possible, and I swear on the Holy Spirit, I finally found them! 🤷
reddrifter12 said:I can't say I know much about glasses, but when it comes to contacts, I’ve been heading over to the Holy Spirit clinic for years now—specifically their contact lens department—and honestly, I couldn't be happier. As long as things stay this way, I'm not changing a thing.

Honestly, you really gotta pee to flush out any potential bacteria from your urinary tract. I actually dealt with a bladder infection once, and they told me I should definitely pee both before and after sex, plus wash up before and after too—basically, my partner needs to be clean, we need clean hands during everything, and especially making sure hands are totally spotless when touching down there.😍 Of course, trying to follow all those rules perfectly in the heat of the moment is super tough to pull off! But I try to be as careful as I can, and honestly, after an orgasm, I always feel this massive urge to go, probably because of all that pressure on my bladder.
It’s just a fact that women end up dealing with urinary infections way more often than guys do.😢
Karen Ross98 said:So, here’s the deal on how things are looking right now— So, I was doing some math last night and realized my period actually showed up like 8 to 10 days earlier than usual... does that have anything to do with what I was asking about in my first post? 😢 So I finally took a test this morning! It’s actually the very last day of my period, so all I'm dealing with right now are just those tiny little traces of spotting, you know? Anyway, the test came back with just one single line, which pretty much means I'm definitely not pregnant! So, I was looking at the instructions, and they're basically saying you gotta take the test on the very first day you realize your period is late! So, does this basically mean I just wasted my time testing for nothing and now I’m stuck just sitting around waiting to see IF my period actually shows up next month?? 😕 😢
Yeah, totally! Honestly, it’s way too early to even bother with a test right now, because you really need to wait at least three weeks after that risky encounter or just hold out until you're at least one day late for your period if you want any kind of real answer!
As soon as I saw they were serving fruit for breakfast, I totally stopped reading right there because there is absolutely no way in hell I'm eating anything sour on an empty stomach first thing in the morning 🤮
James Rogers53 said:It honestly feels kind of ridiculous to me because everyone knows it’s basically been proven that soy is absolutely loaded with estrogen!😕 I am totally on board with the idea that milk from those tiny local family farms is hands down the healthiest stuff you can get! Like, I’m 100% convinced about that, and from what I understand about how the whole industry works, even the massive corporate giants—you know, big names like Nestlé or Danone—are actually buying up milk from those small-scale producers to keep their shelves stocked. Or am I totally off base there?😕
And honestly, I’ve got zero clue about the whole soy situation since that’s exactly what her OB-GYN told her to watch out for!
When it comes to those smaller, local dairies, they’re actually pretty legit if you can track them down—I’m talking about places like Tillamook or some of those boutique family farms out in the Midwest that most people haven't even heard of! They make such incredible stuff, but honestly, the biggest headache is just trying to actually find their products on a shelf when you're out shopping.
I honestly only ever drink milk when it’s splashed into my coffee, but I still end up picking up like seven or eight gallons every single month! And you better believe I’m picky about it too—I always make sure to grab a different brand every time and switch things up with the fat percentages just to keep things interesting!
So, a good friend of mine was actually told she had to cut out dairy entirely because of her endometriosis, and they suggested she switch over to soy milk instead since apparently standard cow's milk is just loaded with estrogens used to pump up production. I've even got some buddies working in the dairy industry who whispered to me that they won't touch low-fat products because they're basically just chemical cocktails, so I always stick to the super fresh stuff you can grab from small local family farms back home.
But honestly, our milk is pure gold, whereas American milk is so packed with all sorts of additives that the USA actually banned its import altogether.🙄
Honestly, my whole "uber-man" energy was basically just a necessary move to kick you off this thread! Honestly, it just totally breaks my heart when I feel like I'm being forced to shove my own specific views on body image and reproduction down everyone's throats, especially since half of America is basically being told they aren't even morally fit to bring kids into this world based on those standards!
oh, so now we're all supposed to care about your "healthy and logical responsibility toward your own self and your body" is that really how this thread is titled??
you honestly don't have a clue what you're talking about when it comes to how drugs might affect offspring, because you've never even lit up a joint, never even done a line, and you probably haven't even had a real night out... let alone actually met someone who experiments with substances without being an addict. but I have, and I am way smarter than you on this subject since I've got way more life experience and professional expertise regarding drug abuse, federal criminal regulations, and the rehabilitation of addicts and recreational users—which is how our US drug control laws categorize them. so yeah, nobody asked for your little moral lecture.
you don't know the difference between an addict, a recreational user, or just some weekend experimenter, you don't know a single harm reduction strategy or anything about primary and secondary prevention, and I seriously doubt you've ever even glanced at a social study or research paper regarding substance abuse, whereas I definitely have! I'm actually writing one right now!
And honestly, if anyone is trying to pin some kind of legal trouble on me, they can forget it because I haven't gone around promoting drug abuse anywhere!
Look, she came to the health forum, not a sermon on religion 😕
How can you even show your face acting all high and mighty and attacking someone who was just being responsible enough to ask about the medical fallout from her cocaine trip?? Can you seriously read her post and assume she’s some kind of addict?? Even if she were, that’s nobody’s business but hers, because that's totally not what this discussion is about
Honestly, we live in such a clueless society thanks to these brainwashed religious fanatics who preach absolute nonsense without having an ounce of common sense
goldenbison142 said:Hey there... I'm Maya... and I have a quick question... 😢 I've used cocaine a few times... but I'm planning to get pregnant this June... so I'm wondering how long it stays in my blood... or just in my system in general... specifically for the baby's health? How much time do I and my partner actually need to detox so we can be totally sure? Thanks in advance... you guys have an awesome forum, a friend from Washington, D.C. recommended it to me! Cheers!
Don't even sweat it, honestly, I know two kids who were conceived while their parents were using ecstasy🙂 Everything turned out great, and as far as cognitive stuff goes, they seem totally fine since they're already starting first grade now🙂
Angela Wright said:Honestly, if I were in your shoes, I’d start by wondering if I’m even mature or responsible enough to take on such a massive responsibility like motherhood. To me, you seem super reckless when it comes to your own health, so this whole sudden concern for a baby's wellbeing feels totally hypocritical☕ I know drugs can show up in your blood in tiny traces for a really long time after you've used them. The real question is just what that "threshold value" is that actually causes damage. If I were you, I would definitely work on a total deep clean of both my body and my personality and mindset before making such a huge life decision. Good luck!
I used to deal with Catherine all the time, and honestly, it happened every single time I had sex without a condom. It was like the pH levels between me and my partner just weren't vibing together at all 😢
And yeah, every time I had to finish a heavy round of antibiotics, it would totally wreck my vaginal flora and leave me with absolutely zero lubrication...
So when my doctor, Dr. Miller, had me sitting on the exam table for Virginia, he asked if things were flowing okay down there or if I was having issues with moisture or discharge, and I was basically as dry as the Mojave Desert 😢 and he suggested Lactacigin—it’s more of a supplement than a pill, and I think you can even grab it over the counter. Ever since I started taking it, the stinging and itching have completely vanished, seriously 😁 I've honestly forgotten what it's even like to need Vagisil or Monistat 😉
Basically, for all you girls on birth control who aren't using protection, maybe try sticking to condoms for a little while. Though, from my own experience, definitely stay away from the ones coated with spermicide because those made me itch like crazy, like I was covered in lice 🤷
rapidcrane42 said:Honestly, there's one thing I just don't get... why on earth would people with issues like this be looking for help from random amateurs? Since your last checkup (you said it was 6 months ago), anything could have happened! It’s honestly pretty silly and irresponsible to ask "people with similar experiences" to give you a prognosis or suggest medication. If something feels off, GO TO A GYNECOLOGIST!!!!! Seriously, don't try to play doctor with yourself. Bleeding every two weeks is absolutely NOT NORMAL no matter what! Since this started happening last month, I really, truly hope you went to see a specialist and got everything sorted out. We women have this terrible habit of just waving off our health problems and acting like it doesn't matter, and we seriously need to kick that habit! Especially when it comes to stuff like this.
But hey, what's the rush?😁 Dr. Eluga (not sure if I'm allowed to mention names here, haha) sent me straight home and told me to go check my hormone levels—yeah, great idea, right? Given my totally irregular cycle, she wanted me to get bloodwork done specifically between day 2 and day 3 of my period.🙄 Of course, I didn't actually go, and she didn't even tell me where to go or what the plan was!😢
But then when it happened a second time, I went to see a specialist at a clinic in Chicago, and without even overthinking the hormones, they immediately gave me a prescription to stop the bleeding first, then suggested I take Yasmin to get everything back on track, and *then* go for the bloodwork and hormone tests.
Anyway, ladies, please don't mess around with this, and don't you dare walk out of that doctor's office until they give you some kind of prescription to stop the bleeding! Because by the time you finish all those tests, you could be bleeding yourself into total exhaustion.
They honestly won't find a thing because they just pump you full of antibiotics and rush you straight into getting a swab or a culture test. And obviously, that antibiotic makes you feel just decent enough that all your tests come back looking totally normal. That’s why my advice is to wait at least ten days after you finish that course of antibiotics before you even think about doing any testing.
It took them six whole months to finally pin down an E. coli infection in my mom for that exact same reason!🙄
So, this happened to me just last year around this exact same time, and honestly, it came out of nowhere! Like, I was totally fine, and then suddenly, right after my two-week period break, I started bleeding all over again for no reason at all. Dude, you seriously need to get yourself to a doctor right now! So my doctor told me that I’ve been dealing with some spotting during ovulation, which totally caught me off guard, but he ended up putting me on some Provera to help get all those wild hormone fluctuations under control since they're acting up like crazy! So, I finally decided to give Jasmin a shot after doing some digging, and man, let me tell you, everything just clicked into place immediately! Once I made the switch, all those annoying little headaches I was dealing with just vanished into thin air, and honestly, I couldn't be happier with how smooth things are running now!
