Well, I suppose I should give this a shot myself too.
Does anyone else here deal with this kind of deformity, or perhaps know someone who does? I’m curious if anyone has firsthand experience with the surgical side of things, or if you find yourselves dealing with bouts of pain from it occasionally?
I've lived with these toe issues for as long as I can remember; they've never really caused me any trouble or discomfort. However, I recently made an appointment with an orthopedic specialist at the Mayo Clinic because I was concerned about my flat feet, and during the exam, the doctor pointed out this specific deformity. He mentioned that surgery is an option if it ever starts causing me issues, so I'm just starting to weigh my options. If anyone has gone through something similar or has any insight to share, I would truly appreciate any information you could provide. 🙂
Hello everyone. I’m reaching out because I’m quite concerned about my younger brother. He’s currently seventeen and a half years old, but physically, he looks more like an average thirteen-year-old. He stands about 5'5", has almost no body hair, and hasn't experienced any significant changes in his physical build; his shoulders remain very narrow compared to the rest of him, and he isn't developing any muscle mass. To be honest, he still has a very boyish appearance, which is worrying as he’ll be turning eighteen very soon. In terms of his psychological development, everything seems perfectly fine—he’s social, witty, and enjoys hanging out with friends—but I can’t help but feel he might be using that outgoing personality to mask deep-seated insecurities about his appearance. If anyone has experience with this or knows if there is a medical reason for such a delayed physical development, I would truly appreciate your insight. Is this something we should be actively looking into with a doctor?
