MLS 2022/23 Season: Part 2 in Soccer ·
Susan Cooper7 said:With 2,312 people watching the broadcast on Gaengka, it honestly feels like nothing we do is making an impact.

What kind of witness are you even talking about??? All you get is a slap in the face and a kick out the door to another precinct...

We don't even have a roof, and it was pouring rain all day yesterday... 🍿☕

He’s out here showing off, mmm yeah... Look, if anyone can make it tonight, you know it’s gonna be a blast. We’re setting up over on Mountain View, just a bit further down from that building involved in that whole DOJ scandal... 🙂

"The transformer station is all set for today, and the Secretary of Defense is officially sketched out...
Honestly, picking the single best quote from Secretary Seve was a nightmare because you guys were being way too creative. For the main section of the wall, we’re going with the one about 'them,' mmm yeah, since it actually works with the photo of him clutching the mic—and let's be real, that line was easily the most brilliant spin on the original I've ever heard.
On the side of the wall, we’re gonna toss in all those other quotes you guys came up with, so none of your little nuggets of wisdom go unappreciated (though we gotta keep it clean and avoid anything straight-up offensive, otherwise the city crews will show up to repaint the damn thing and I swear I'll lose it)
We ended up switching things up last minute, though. It's not the transformer by the vet clinic anymore; we're across from the old local bakery factory on Mountain View Street. It's about 100 yards further than the first spot, but this station is bigger and closer to Seve Avenue, so it deserves a proper mural. Plus, there are four dive bars just 20 meters from the station, so if the cops decide to show up, we've got plenty of places to duck into.
See you guys tonight starting at 6:00 PM. The whole Night Mare crew is rolling up, so feel free to join in—let's throw the biggest Night Mare afterparty this city has ever seen...
We aren't heading home until the cops start knocking, so bring some photocopies just in case.

coastalheron12 said:What do you mean "which ones"? There are some with fruit flavors that might actually pass, but yeah, there are plenty of nasty ones out there. But honestly, in my experience, those syrups are mostly a scam and pretty much useless.

By the way, I'm currently in the middle of a total disaster zone: first, my youngest hurt her leg at daycare—stayed home for a week—then she goes back to school and two days later brings home some stomach bug or Norovirus or whatever. For those without kids, let me describe how this always starts... it's always in the middle of the night. You go to bed feeling fine, then suddenly, in the dead of night, you hear that sound of someone splashing/vomiting. And then it happens again and again over the next few hours.
And for my part, it triggers a chain reaction where everyone else in the house gets sick within 48 hours. Unlike the kids, adults—like me and my wife—just end up half-dead a day after it hits.
But wait, there's more—just as the youngest started puking, the older one picked up COVID at school. That's the second round of COVID in two months. So while the first one was still fighting it off with a fever hitting 102—which barely even counts as a fever if you ask me—now the younger one has it too. Her routine fevers usually sit right between 104 and 105.

Rotavirus—nothing says "family fun" like this crap.😁😁
And you know how it goes, it’s always accompanied by a toothache that kicks in right when you're trying to sleep...

My wife and the little one had the flu earlier this year, so yeah, don't even get me started on how much this sucks.😂

Honestly, seeing how the other guy reacted to this video, I can't tell who's actually crazier—them, or me for laughing my head off and totally backing whatever madness they just pulled off 🤣🤣

Glavin's son

You can't fight the inevitable...

🙏 🤣

Forget about those little white kids... honestly, when babies are born, they tend to focus on a few specific colors—usually red, white, blue, or yellow... and since we've got enough Yankees logos scattered all over this neighborhood and the rest of the city, I’d say that problem is already solved... so there's no "but, but, honey" excuses here... 😂 🙂

Can someone who actually follows track and field explain what the hell just happened during that 60m dash? It felt like they just threw two names into a black bag and pulled one out to decide who makes the finals.

Anthony Wright30 said:The festivities for St. Roch are still going strong in a small town down in the Mediterranean 😁

St. Roch, Drniš—back when I was doing my weekend service in the military, I wasn't even heading out to the big city; I was just driving from Knin over to Drniš, following Thompson. 🎉 Honestly, hanging out with stojka Vranković, dodging AK gunfire... maybe those moments left some kind of hidden mark on me when I was picking out my name. 🤣🤣

@pret I actually know two famous cases where the names line up perfectly between father and son... Honestly, even the grandpa, dad, and son/grandson all go by Mark.

Larry Fox5 said:So you're Joseph and you actually named the little guy Joseph?

You couldn't be serious...

😁
I'm not John, and the kid's name is actually Rocco... Back when that massive earthquake hit two years ago, everything just felt like it got shaken up, and honestly, St. Roch being the protector against diseases made the name stick naturally... Plus, he's basically the patron saint of all things seafood...

hiddencyclist112 said:Truth for Matthew Young35 👍 I also want to urge him to keep up this exact same pace. To be honest, I don't necessarily need to dive deep into every single detail of this whole situation, so having his daily dose of briefings is actually perfect for me. It keeps me sufficiently informed without being overwhelming.

That said, this shouldn't—and absolutely must not—stop anyone else from posting about different topics. I don't see how one conflicts with the other. This space is still open for whatever you want: whether it's cars, venting about nonsense, discussing our everyday struggles, sharing hobbies, or talking about great books and TV shows.

For instance, I am personally getting absolutely crushed by these prices. I had so many plans laid out for the next year or two, but this inflation has completely killed my momentum. Prices for everything within my professional sphere are spiraling out of control. My car feels like it's falling apart more and more every day, yet the price of used cars has gone through the roof. There is no way I'm diving into that market right now. It’s the same story with construction materials. I actually came up with a whole vision—a plan to balance all my needs, priorities, and desires. In plain English: in the very near future, I was planning to start a home building project. A small house, specifically. But how on earth did everything have to hit all at once? My dad was just telling me that the price for a single mesh reinforcement for concrete slabs and walls—I think it's an 8-inch one—is 900 freaking dollars. A year ago, it was 300. Or maybe 400. Meanwhile, my paycheck stays exactly where it is. So, how am I supposed to stay calm when things are like this?

I was actually just writing about how I jumped on that last train two years ago when materials were still cheap. I managed to pull off a project with 22k, whereas a buddy of mine who started about a year after me couldn't even buy the materials, let alone finish the job or pay the contractors, with less than a third of that amount.
Since I work with carpenters and the timber industry, people kept saying these prices couldn't possibly go any higher and that they should start dropping soon... they've been saying that for a year now. Then, out of nowhere, we get word from a client that one of our competitors is about to hike the price of a metal component (furniture hardware) by more or less a freaking 50%...
Ever since the pandemic and this whole chaos kicked off two years ago, our sales have been the best since the day the company was founded... I won't even get into the massive jump in our profit margins over the last couple of years. What really scares me is the thought that we won't be able to keep pace with these rising costs forever. I don't even want to think about what happens if we can't!

@Anthony Wright30 - if we want to rotate the gear from the war, we can do it the old-fashioned way; those guys are nothing but cowards and whiners, always complaining... 😂 🤣

Hey man, you hit the nail on the head. I definitely stumbled when it comes to politics, though it wasn't because of September—it was because of the... uh, excuse me, the Romani people. Apparently, they flagged my enrollment as hate speech just because I mentioned how one word is enough to describe those folks who grab your hand and cling to your leg right outside the shopping malls...

So I’m reading today that Igor Mandić passed away, and apparently there's talk about burying him in the Hall of Heroes next to someone like Tina Ujević... Honestly, it's just one of those old-school Yugoslav types who never once mourned the loss of the old country. This guy was practically grinning ear to ear back in the 70s when Gotovac and his crew were being thrown the book. Now he wants to rest easy alongside the legends? Please...

Justin James10 said:It’s funny how you can be like brothers with a Mexican until someone brings up politics or history, and then everything goes completely south in two minutes flat! Honestly, with them, it's better to just stick to talking about women, football, and drinks.

I remember sitting down with this guy—a Mexican from Canada who actually stayed put instead of fleeing—a few years back. We were just vibing, talking about work, family, kids, school stuff... even in this thread, you can't really dodge the war. But then, out of nowhere, he starts telling me how their kids are taught in school that our war of independence was actually just some civil war where Mexicans were the ones being attacked. It was like there was no middle ground; you either changed the subject or things were going to get ugly fast.

This instantly took me back to high school. My buddy and I once wrapped him around a classroom desk. The teacher walks in and there he is, head glued to the wood. The professor just gave a little nod and said, "Go ahead and let him loose." 🤣 The guy honestly didn't have the energy left for our nonsense; nothing surprised him anymore when we pulled some stupid stunt.

🤣🤣
I actually did something similar with my wife once—wrapped her up to a chair at work, and we were playing around with it in the warehouse... Well, until she finally agreed to go out on a date with me. God bless plastic wrap.🤣

This video is clearly just some troll trying to trash the Real Madrid fans, but he’s actually using clips straight from the team's official YouTube channel to do it. It makes me wonder if anyone can flag this thing for copyright infringement since he's using their footage without permission, maybe get the whole thing taken down.

Does anyone actually know who this guy is? Like, was he even at the games in person?
Honestly, my gut tells me he's just reading off a script and this whole thing is probably just some shady commercial for a rehab center...

Listen up, you bunch of absolute trolls and spin doctors—you can take your little opinions and shove them where the sun doesn't shine. Honestly, you guys would be happiest if you could just shut us down entirely, but things aren't going according to your pathetic little script. You’re going to be dealing with those kids we've been watching celebrate their goals for a long, long time to come; they're going to stay a massive thorn in your side. Just keep fighting for your Hajduk, and leave our struggle to us, because it's something you lot will never truly understand. You idiots—the group has photos, and they're plenty.
Bad Boys in Fans ·
We really need to give these kids some credit for how they've handled things over the last few years. This new generation has grown up with a real sense of integrity. They head out to those places where we aren't even allowed to go, showing themselves to everyone else, taking hits, getting mocked, and dealing with all the bullshit that comes with it. Sometimes they hold their own, sometimes they get clobbered, but hey, that’s just part of the game.

And >, don't give me that crap. If you've actually spent as many years in the stands as you claim, then you should have plenty of experience under your belt. Those years mean you've built real bonds with the people you've sat with through thick and thin. So why don't you grab your crew, show up to the stadium, and actually back up these kids you're complaining about? Maybe then things could go back to how they were ten years ago. Or better yet, why don't you guys just go work as mercenaries for Mamić or whoever else is pulling the strings? You don't even have to make a public announcement about it; you can just do your dirty work quietly...
