You really ought to consider getting some life vests before you all end up drowning in your own self-importance at some point this season.

Honestly, if we could just teach a smart umbrella how to post on a forum, it would probably become the leader of VB16 within a week.

Adam Williams2 said:Man, seriously, with all this trolling about the examples and the Champions League, I honestly can't tell when you even showed up here. 🤣

I guess any idiot could have pulled it off, but nobody else actually did, damn... that's just how it goes, I suppose.

Maybe half of them don't even have the right paperwork, though they act like they know everything and can see through everything. Even the heavy hitters, guys way more powerful than Petrov and those types, don't always know it all, I think. 😉

It seems every single one of my posts acts as a death sentence for the delusions surrounding VB16. Perhaps this is my true calling—socially useful work, really. If I ever end up behind bars, I’ll probably just serve my sentence by doing exactly this.

It isn't even about some wild, improvised robberies. In 99% of these cases, we are looking at rigged public tenders; once you have spent six months working within any bureaucracy, you pretty much know exactly what requirements to bake in, so all you have to do is look back at what was being purchased over the last year.

But hey, if the Republican Party and the Democratic Party won't step up, and Bozo doesn't know how—or simply can't—then what on earth are we supposed to do?

Then again, he is certainly capable of judging whether the Walmart books were cooked with enough conviction to justify filing a formal complaint. 🙏🙏

Adam Williams2 Asks:
How many infractions or little indiscretions have you actually managed to rack up yourself? In a circle like yours, for instance, isn't it practically impossible not to be aware of some sort of behind-the-scenes maneuvering going on?

Enough is enough. ☕

But the comparison just doesn't hold water, does it? There is a massive difference between simply "knowing" about some backroom dealings happening at the local dive bar and actually being the one responsible for the resources where that criminal activity took place—or, more broadly, being held accountable for the actions of the entire Government.

So, it really comes down to this: you need to have every scrap of documentation within arm's reach and possess the precise metrics required to contrast what is actually necessary against the sheer absurdity of what was previously being done. You also need to have the people right there beside you—the ones who were actually on the ground performing the dirty work of the criminal enterprise. And finally, you must be in a position where you can actively encourage those employees to come forward with information regarding the various scams, since they are the ones who know the truth best, and frankly, not everyone in those two major political parties is a corrupt soul. Creating the political climate where such an action isn't just an option, but an absolute necessity, is entirely within their domain.

As for Petrov, any idiot in America could have launched an impeachment inquiry against Carlos Todoric based on news about cooked financial statements that had been public since the day before. It’s really just beating a dead horse.

Charles Chase4 said:Can anyone give me a quick rundown on what’s actually written in the Lex Todoric? And honestly, how much of this noise about the government swooping in to save him and bail out his debts is just pure theater? Is this really about preventing the entire economy from going down the drain, or is there a more sensible way to handle this? I'm looking at 🤷

I've only skimmed through it, but honestly, I don't see any provision where the government would be obligated to pay anything based on the law itself.

When you look at the whole thing, it’s essentially just a standard bankruptcy proceeding, except they've given it a different name and granted the Government more direct influence over the process than they would have in a normal bankruptcy case. There are a few tweaks, like giving new creditors priority in repayment for recent loans, but that's about it.

In essence, this is just pulling companies like this out of the standard pre-bankruptcy and bankruptcy tracks, which feels like the state is admitting that those existing legal procedures are pretty much useless.

It is quite funny, though, how they decided which group of companies this law applies to; it isn't even necessary to have 5,000 employees in the US, you could have them in Canada for all it matters. Similarly, if you're set up as an LLC, this law doesn't touch you, even if you own half of America and employ a million people.🙏🙏

As someone who votes for the Bridge Party, I have to admit I’m feeling pretty disillusioned; though, if we’re being honest, is it really fair to demand immediate miracles from a group trying to dismantle a political establishment that has held onto power for twenty-five years—or more, for that matter? A dynasty that just won't quit.

I do give Karamarko some credit; they had plenty of opportunities during that first term to sell out for some serious cash, yet they managed to hold their ground.

On the flip side, I am completely fed up with these populist stunts, like when Petrovljev filed that criminal complaint against Todoric just a few days ago. Is a legal filing really supposed to fix everything right now?

I think I'll give them a little more breathing room to see if they actually follow through on their principles. But even if I can't get my own specific ideas passed, shouldn't I be seeing mountains of indictments by this point, considering there's corruption to be found everywhere you look? And yet, somehow, there's nothing.

I find myself worrying about what will happen to certain users of this forum in a few years when the inevitable finally occurs, and in one single moment, their entire world and sense of identity just collapses under its own weight.

I’m not trying to troll anyone, I just find it difficult to have a meaningful "debate" when we're dealing with such a specific subject.

Preventing crime on a general level and identifying psychopaths early on are two entirely different conversations.

Carol Lewis said:My absolute favorite story has to be that one guy from rural Pennsylvania—I think it was back in the late 90s—who spent his entire day drinking some local version of a heavy malt liquor with his wife and son, and then he just completely lost it that night and killed her because he genuinely thought she was a fox...

Honestly, let the first person throw a stone if they haven't had a moment like that in their lives.

Walter Grant5 said:I’ll never get it. There’s zero substance here, yet somehow this has been the biggest thing everyone in America has talked about for the last five days.

What kills me is how everyone is suddenly playing the sympathy card for the parents. If this guy had taken out two other people instead, they’d be busy pinning all the blame on them.

So what are people actually discussing? They just ask "did you see that?" and shake their heads in disbelief. The media outlets are absolutely flooded with this stuff because, at the end of the day, they're just chasing clicks.

Speculating about some deep-seated external causes feels like nothing more than pure hysteria; are we really expected to believe that every spoiled kid out there is suddenly a potential killer?

Sometimes I get the feeling you two actually coordinate your posts beforehand—deciding exactly who says what just so the other can jump in with a reply within two or three minutes flat. It’s almost too perfect.

If I left Sid to handle the troll market entirely on his own, the poor guy would probably starve to death. So, from time to time, I find it necessary to provide him with this kind of assistance—what one might call a little bit of social support for the sake of a good laugh.

restlesssurfer97 said:When you look at the choice between Trump and Hillary, there really isn't even a debate about who actually knows how to generate real jobs and who doesn't.

I mean, when you start talking about cutting government bloat, slashing taxes, and all that other stuff, you have to realize that the people who truly get it are the ones who have actually done it in the real world and succeeded, not just some bureaucrats looking at spreadsheets and treating everything like numbers on a page.
Though, honestly, this whole conversation feels more like it applies to a smaller economy than the massive scale of the US, because if you were trying to fix things elsewhere, you'd focus on bringing manufacturing back home and protecting your own domestic market, which basically does half the heavy lifting for you right there. I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea and thinking I'm saying this is easy or simple, I just mean that the playbook for fixing an economic crisis here in America has to be fundamentally different from the solutions needed in other places.

Once again—while Trump certainly has more hands-on experience navigating the market, this specific comparison feels like comparing apples to oranges to me.

As a capitalist, Trump didn't just conjure jobs out of thin air; rather, he deployed his capital to meet existing demand. He identified specific gaps in the marketplace and filled them through his business ventures, all without having to worry about which specific group of people might get screwed over by his moves.

A politician's role, however, isn't to hunt down pre-existing niches and exploit them ruthlessly; their job is to create opportunities through policy while ensuring they don't wreck the livelihoods of the diverse range of people both within and outside the United States. The roles might sound similar on paper, but they are worlds apart. Is it not like the difference between a world-class striker who can finish any shot, and a playmaker who knows how to set up a teammate or build cohesion within the squad? They are both soccer players, certainly, but their impact on the game is fundamentally different.

Jobs will supposedly "materialize" if capital finds a way to be more efficient within the market. And efficiency might actually improve if the government stays out of the way—smaller taxes, lower healthcare costs, and reduced social spending. In that scenario, a worker might (perhaps) finally secure a "job," though they’ll likely spend those eight hours staring blankly at a television screen while praying to God they don't fall ill. Meanwhile, the system will go to great lengths to convince them they're thriving, simply because they have a "position."

I have absolutely no doubt that Trump is capable of putting any unemployed person to work. But truly believing that someone like him intends to actually improve the lives of the working class? That remains a profound mystery to me.
