Honestly, I have no idea why, but I’ve got this nagging feeling that nothing actually slipped out. To make matters worse, a coworker of mine—she's 37, by the way—told me today that there's a 100% chance it's still stuck inside. She insisted I need to see a gynecologist because it counts as a foreign object, which just left me feeling even more spooked...
Not really. How safe is this, though? Please tell me, because I’m starting to freak out a little... you know, if it gets soaked in blood, it's just going to spread everywhere and then I can't even get it out... and honestly, I'm running low at the end of my cycle, so I'm feeling pretty stuck right now.
Hey ladies, moms, grandmas... sorry if this topic has popped up before, but I don't really have the bandwidth to go digging through old threads right now. Assuming it’s been asked. I'm looking for some advice, even though deep down I probably already know how I should handle this. But maybe someone else has dealt with something similar and can offer a little perspective. So, I don't usually use tampons—only during the summer, and even then, only when absolutely necessary. Yesterday, I used the smallest size available, even though my period was winding down. I had a few too many drinks after getting home and crashed immediately. When I woke up this morning, the tampon was gone, but there was a small amount of blood on my underwear. Now, logically, I know the best move is to call my OB-GYN, but please... if anyone has been through something like this, maybe there's another way to look at it. Is it possible that since it was just a light flow toward the end of my cycle, the tampon just slipped out? It wouldn't have been soaked, so maybe it just slid out on its own. The only time I think it could have moved was on the way home when I asked my boyfriend to pull over because I desperately needed to pee, but I honestly don't remember much of that since I was pretty drunk. To be honest, the idea of going to the doctor for something like this feels incredibly awkward... so...
Well, looks like it finally kicked in. Your best bet is to head to a drugstore tomorrow and grab some antibiotic ointment... A shot of whiskey isn't going to do much for you right now...
Maybe just some whiskey if you don't have any actual medicine on hand? It might be worth letting it air out for a few minutes. Where exactly is the scratch, and what caused it?
Forget about using those harsh sprays. There’s actually this really solid spray out there that cleanses the wound while speeding up the healing process significantly. That’s what you want when things are looking super fresh.
I’m with Melissa Gonzalez21 on this one—getting some blood work done is a non-negotiable. I’ve been dealing with similar issues for about three years now, so I know how this goes... Definitely check the labs and look into some vitamins. Honestly, if your iron is running low, you might want to skip the B complex and just go for those yellow Centrum tablets instead. It worked for me.
