How can I gain weight? in Health ·
wiredcyclist said:It’s the truth. That McDonald's is pure poison... I definitely put on a few pounds after eating there. Look, this is a proven fact. It's funny how that place is always packed, too. Honestly, maybe you can grab something there once a month if you really have to... 😁But it happens every single day... 😲 😲

Look, once a month isn't going to kill you, but honestly? If you can, just try to forget it exists. You're basically just pouring poison into your system at that point. It’s all chemicals... it isn't actual food. Everything is rubbery, artificial—it feels like they're just squeezing stuff out of a test tube and shoving it into a sandwich. My stomach actually starts turning just thinking about that smell. But hey, maybe it's all in my head. Once you start seeing things that way, your whole perspective changes...

Gary Kern73 said:Look, I'm a 19-year-old guy, about 5'10" and weighing roughly 132 lbs. Obviously, that's way too low since my BMI is over a full point below the ideal range. The thing is, I eat four times a day. And I'm not talking about "healthy eating"—I just eat everything. Pizza, chocolate... you name it. I don't hold back at all. I usually eat right before bed too, sometimes really heavy stuff, but it just doesn't stick. When I talk to people, they're always shocked by how much I eat and how skinny I still am. I've been hitting the gym for about three months now and only gained maybe 4 or 5 pounds, which means I was even scrawnier before. Now I'm practically bleeding money at the gym trying to buy mass gainers and supplements. I need to bulk up because I have my annual physical for the Army, and last time, they barely let me pass...
Thanks so much!!!!

I'm not exactly preaching health here, but I actually put on weight when I was hitting McDonald's constantly, like several times a week. Just saying. But then again, food is basically poison—you know that too. And if you're super active and working out a lot, you'll just burn it all off no matter how much you eat. You won't gain anything that way.

Thanks for all the input.

I already had Omega-3 on my shopping list, just haven't gotten around to grabbing it yet. I'll pick some up later today.

As for those stairs... look, I'm not living on the 5th floor, but I'll figure something out eventually... 😁

Best,

First thing I'd try is adjusting my diet to include stuff that actually helps circulation, then maybe look into medication later on. Does working out actually help dilate blood vessels and get things moving better?

I'm asking because I feel like the blood flow is pretty sluggish in certain parts of my body... if you remember my previous thread, you'll know exactly what I'm getting at 😁 plus I've got a feeling the circulation in my legs is pretty weak too.

Can anyone give me a rundown on which meds, foods, or drinks help dilate blood vessels versus what actually constricts them? Just throw out whatever comes to mind...
I’m also wondering if things like working out, going for walks, or running make much of a difference when it comes to widening those vessels?
Quitting caffeine: How's it going? in Health ·
Kimberly Ross9 said:So, five days ago I decided to kick my coffee habit. Usually, I’m slamming at least two cups a day—sometimes way more than that. Now, I’m curious if anyone else here has gone cold turkey on caffeine... did you deal with any weird side effects?
Honestly, over the last few days, I feel like I’ve been stuck in this total funk (not even sure how else to put it😁). Just this constant lack of motivation. Getting out of bed in the morning and forcing myself to head out to work feels like a massive chore🙄.

I was expecting some kind of reaction after quitting, but I can't tell if this is just part of the process or if something else is actually going wrong with me (which would be pretty bad 🙄))

I also stopped drinking coffee. Honestly, I haven't had any side effects or anything at all. It's been about a year since I quit.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the replies. You honestly have no idea how much this means to me 😁 because right now, I don't really have anyone else to lean on 🙂

Lisa Kim10 said:Hey, just a little piece of advice from one woman to another... try to take care of yourself more often. Alcohol and nicotine used to be how we all relaxed, but now that they're gone, your body is definitely feeling the void. Once you've fully detoxed, you'll feel like a whole new person. I'm sure you'll get back on track pretty quickly. Good luck.👍

It’s barely responding to women, let alone anything else. Honestly, there's almost nothing happening down there. Occasionally in the morning, but even then it's a struggle. It felt like there was a tiny bit of life in it today, though...
And it's only been a week since that New Year's bender. That was the last time I went that hard. I'm thinking it might take a month or two before things actually feel normal again. I'll probably have to lean on some medication for a bit just to speed up the recovery process.

Thanks for the advice and the support, 😁
I am already starting to feel a bit better. Those few days of heavy drinking were a total disaster... I felt absolutely terrible and was constantly sick.

Nancy Perez30 said:Look, if I were you, I'd try using some supplements to get things back on track... maybe give Calivita's Vitality or Panax ginseng a shot. You can't really go wrong there, and you'll likely see results pretty quickly.

I just scrolled through the pages. It looks good. Where can I actually pick this stuff up? Is it available at any local CVS or Walgreens?

Edit: Oh, wait... just saw now. You have to order it online.

Angela Wright said:Alcohol doesn't actually "kickstart" anything. It just numbs you out so you feel relaxed, especially the next day. We've already established that you're high-strung and constantly under pressure. Just try yoga or some Tai Chi... those things actually help release tension and get your energy flowing again. It helps find some balance.

I hear what you're saying, I really do. But I'm convinced alcohol plays a role in it somehow. For instance, it's loaded with sugar, and sugar affects serotonin levels. I'll probably get back to my old self eventually... hopefully. Still dealing with a bit of stress and all that...

Dennis Miller said:Man... what kind of relationship is that if you only want your ex when you're wasted??

You totally missed my point. It’s not that I’m drunk in the moment. It’s more like that lingering buzz from the night before just keeps everything moving. And then, suddenly, everything works again. Look, I used to be all over my wife, constantly. But lately, things have just stalled out because I quit drinking. I didn't go cold turkey right away; I was tapering off for a while. There were good days and bad days... I'd have a drink here or there, less often than before, and things would feel fine. But now that I've stopped completely, everything has flatlined. When I'm sober, that drive? It's either incredibly weak or just gone.

Does anyone know what actually triggers that libido? Like, what specific substances or chemicals are we talking about?

I'm genuinely curious about what alcohol is doing to my system... wondering if there's some way to replicate that feeling through diet or something similar.

Kenneth Flores23 said:Regarding that... honestly, I don't think I have any issues there. Maybe some cortisone, but my testosterone levels aren't even that high, even though I've got that Mike Tyson type build and style 😁

So, do you hit the gym or anything?

So, does serotonin actually mess with your erections, and if so, how exactly?
Sexual performance help? in Health ·
Oh, right... I forgot to mention something else. I actually came across a thread on a forum a little while back from someone dealing with a similar issue. I can't recall the title or who started it, honestly... I wasn't looking at things through this lens back then, so I didn't pay much attention to the 😢 .

Anyway, here's the thing: after a heavy night of drinking, I feel incredible for the next couple of days—especially the day right after. I’m happy, I’ve got tons of energy, my brain feels sharper, and everything "down there" works perfectly. My libido is through the roof and sex is great. That's just how it is the day after drinking. But as the days pass, that spark fades. My energy levels tank, and while things still work, they get weaker and weaker until I'm just lazy and disinterested... nothing happens. Then, after the next bout of drinking, everything resets to normal again.

It seems logical to assume that alcohol triggers some kind of reaction in me... maybe a surge of certain hormones? I'd love for someone who actually understands human metabolism to weigh in on what's going on here. It doesn't have to be a clinical diagnosis, just a general idea... I need to know if alcohol is actually the cause of my problems, and if my body will eventually just start producing these substances on its own over time.

My theory is that I'm deficient in certain things that drive my libido, and when I drink, my body releases those substances in larger amounts, making me hyper-focused and getting everything working exactly as it should.

And just for the record, I had some blood work done recently. I got the results today and everything looks fine 😎

What do you guys think about this?

Dennis Miller said:maybe you just cloned your own spirit and programmed a loop of failures into your brain... and that's what's driving this state of yours!!
get your life together first. forget about the girl who dumped you... there are millions of them out there, one better than the next... honestly, it’s better she left now while you're still young rather than, say, ten years down the line..
try dedicating some actual time to yourself.. hit the gym, eat clean, stop moping around....my advice? go see a urologist. they'll give you the most precise answer as to where the issue

lies.

I actually started living healthy recently. Working out and all that. I know there are plenty of women out there, but I'm still stuck in a bit of a depression because of the breakup. A urologist is my last resort, so if the exercise and healthy lifestyle don't do the trick, then I'll go see him.

My take is that my body stopped producing certain hormones or something because it was slowly becoming dependent on alcohol. Back when I drank, the alcohol would provide some kind of stimulus and my body would release whatever it needed, so everything worked fine then. Now that I've quit drinking, the problems have started. Though, thinking back, I had issues even when I was drinking.
I'm pretty sure my mental state plays a big role in all of this too. I'll probably pull myself together eventually... the body heals itself... but after years of poisoning it, I think it's going to take a while.

Thanks a lot for the response. Best, 👋

Megan Fox15 said:Buddy, don't let your mind wander... your gun's gonna misfire like a cannon the second a pretty girl walks by!!!😁

Three years ago, I dealt with a pinched nerve in my spine. For the first year, I had zero erections. Morning wood? Forget about it... I haven't seen that in forever!!! But honestly, the worst part is losing your confidence. You start getting in your own head... and then the spiral begins: what is she going to think when she realizes things aren't working? Or worse: I won't even try because I know it'll fail!!!?
Then I just snapped out of it and gave it a shot... and it worked. Sure, it wasn't quite what it used to be, but it worked!!!
So, don't just sit there and let it happen. Get aggressive. Find someone, even if you have to pay for it, just to see if the equipment still functions or not!!!
If luck isn't on your side, run to a doctor without any shame. Most of this stuff is temporary and can be treated easily and effectively!👍

Thanks for the reply.

This is actually really encouraging to read. It’s true, I definitely let my mindset slip, but I’m starting to look at things more positively now. I think if I stick to a healthy lifestyle, I'll be fine. Take care.

Angela Wright I can't even begin to describe the mess this is... just total chaos from the jump. I was looking at what was said earlier and honestly? It’s exhausting. You try to make sense of things, try to find some logic in the madness, and then you realize the whole foundation is built on sand... just complete nonsense. People act like they have it all figured out, but they don't. They really don't. It’s just one thing after another... constant noise without any substance. Just... ugh.
What kind of person are you supposed to be, exactly...? Seriously...🙄

Look, I’m doing alright overall, but I’ve got this little issue with staying erect... so I was wondering, do you think a woman would actually want to be with me if she knew about it? Like, say I meet a girl I really vibe with and she finds out. Should I just come clean and ask her, "Hey, what do you think—would you still stay with me?"... I don't know...

Those are the exact ones everyone’s hunting for... the ones that cause all the heartbreak in guy circles, right?

Exactly. 🙏 But, you know... they aren't exactly easy to come by.

Look, it’s pretty simple. After being poisoned for that long, your body basically builds up this dependency. It gets hooked. Now, it’s just sitting there in total shock, trying to figure out how to get back to some kind of baseline... it needs time to recalibrate. Just because you saw an effect back then doesn't mean those pills weren't complete garbage...

I get that, really... but at this point, I don't even have a rifle left to shoot. 😢

Look, you're absolutely right about all of it. You really have to just look ahead and put in the work... stay positive. But honestly? I’m just not there yet. I can't exactly charge forward right now. There's this heavy cloud hanging over me, just this deep sense of sadness that won't quit... I need some time to settle my head and find my footing again. Just need a moment to get back to myself...

Angela Wright said:There are plenty of fish in the sea... 👍 don't sweat it. Just focus on yourself and be grateful you actually have the chance to turn things around and make a positive change in your life.

Do you really think anyone would want me like this? Let’s say someone pays me back for everything... do you honestly believe there’s a soul out there who would want me despite all my baggage? 🙂

Edit: And one more thing. When I was drinking, everything felt fine. It was manageable. But ever since I quit the booze and the cigarettes, everything just started falling apart.
