USA vs. Spain: 29-28 in Other Sports ·
Yeah, for the Canadians, it’s mainly 🙂 There are still a few other combinations out there, but I’m honestly worried it’ll just end up being the Frenchmen and then the Germans. As long as they have enough gas in the tank to make it to the finals—just for that one game, really.

Man, if the Canadians end up with the Russians and the Danes get the Danegeld, who’s left for the Spaniards?
I mean, does the whole group just end up being fourth in line again, taking the easy way out?

Honestly, at least this game was just a total blowout. They didn't even break a sweat, which is a relief. I was genuinely worried we’d end up in a real scrap here, get some guys sidelined with injuries, and then have to face the French and then the Germans right after.

Now, maybe the higher powers could step in and help us out a bit, but let's be real—it wouldn't be fair if we had to take on the French first with a perfect 7/7 record, and then immediately follow that up against the Germans.

Give me a break, this is getting ridiculous. It’s like nobody actually wants to win or anything.

Does anyone know of a reliable site where I can check the scores and see the upcoming schedule? Since the Americans are the ones calling the shots now.

Man, we looked absolutely pathetic out there today. What’s the real kicker? We won't even know if this slump is just a temporary glitch or if we're actually heading downhill until the quarterfinals hit. Is this just a bad run, or are we seeing the new reality?
USA vs. Spain: 29-28 in Other Sports ·
Man, that’s just harsh. Alright fine, if we really have to, let's just give it a perfect 10/10 and call it a day.

It’s looking like we're about to take a massive hit on 😬. Honestly, that last game was a complete joke, and we looked pretty rough in three of the PM slots too. But then again, it's not like we were even giving it our all, right?

I haven't really kept up with how things are shaking out in the other group. From what I can tell, it looks like we're headed to Iceland 😬

And just like that, we’re throwing everything out the window. Everything. This is going to be total chaos, and honestly? It’s a situation that plays right into the hands of the Spaniards.

Are you kidding me right now, Lino? What on earth are you guys thinking?

Yeah, and you'll definitely feel that heart attack coming on from every angle. 😬

Honestly, nobody knows. If it were up to me, my main goal would be finding a way to dodge the Germans until the finals. Where do we stand on that right now? Are we still looking at that scenario where we have to face them in the semifinals?
USA vs. Spain: 29-28 in Other Sports ·
Man, I’ve gotta say, this has been the absolute worst game I’ve ever had to sit through. Honestly. My heart is pulling for our guys to pull it together, but my head is telling me they’re just making massive mistakes and really need to step it up and close that gap.
USA vs. Spain: 29-28 in Other Sports ·
We aren't winning this way; the second we need to take the lead, the ball is flying straight out of bounds. 🙂 Someone needs to tell Alilović to stop playing defense on our own goal instead of actually playing the game. 🙂 Now we’re stuck playing defense all night. Honestly, Lino should probably just call a timeout already!

So, he totally blindsided those Czech guys yesterday with that "John's feeling a bit under the weather" comment, right? And then they were all absolutely floored when they spotted this guy with a tattooed turtle on the field. But honestly, they calmed down pretty fast once they realized the dude was basically sleepwalking through the game—he actually fell asleep standing up! Even Lino had to reach out and give him a quick nudge just to snap him out of it.

Haha, yesterday was way too early for John. That guy doesn't even roll out of bed before 6:00 PM.

So, the Spaniards barely scraped by the Canadians yesterday, just a narrow two-point win.

Look, I’m telling you, it doesn't really matter who we face; we can take anyone. The real issue is how the bracket shakes out and whether we end up facing two massive combinations on our way to the finals. Imagine if one side of the bracket is an absolute bloodbath while the other side is just a walk in the park? It would be such a total injustice if we go a perfect 7/7 only to get hit with that brutal path.
America vs. Spain: 29-28 in Other Sports ·
Look, we've got the talent, that's not the issue. We could take on anyone. The real headache is this damn schedule, and I’m genuinely worried it might come back to haunt us.

From what I can see, our first major hurdle is going to be a brutal scrap against the Spaniards.

If we pull that off, we're looking at a 99% chance of facing the French next. They aren't exactly our favorite matchup, and when they're on their game, they'll absolutely steamroll the Canadians by nearly twenty points. But even that isn't the dealbreaker—we can beat them too.

Then it's the Germans, who we usually match up well against ( 😬 ), but it's still going to be a grind once you factor in the officiating, the crowd, and all that other noise.

I don't doubt for a second that we could win that one, too, but then after grinding through three absolute wars, we'd likely run straight into those Spaniards again in the finals—and they'll be sitting there coasting and resting while we're exhausted. They've pulled that exact move on us before.

Tomorrow's game doesn't actually mean much for our trajectory. I'm not saying we should go easy, but we definitely shouldn't burn ourselves out. Whoever plays should give it their all, but we don't need to throw the whole roster at it, right? 😉

Peter is struggling a bit, Vory is hovering around somewhere, Balic could probably afford one more slow game, and both Sulic and Valcic need to find their rhythm. Maybe we should get a look at Duvnjak too; Dominikovic will definitely have something to say to the Spaniards, plus he's well-rested.

Man, it would suck if we end up finishing 9/10 just because we blew it on this one game.

But honestly, screw it, it's going to be an incredible game regardless. Those Spaniards are going to be playing the numbers game even harder than we are, and don't even get me started on the other group—they aren't exactly itching to face us either.

Kimberly Barnes2 said:Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm rooting for them—quite the opposite, really, as I find their whole culture and mindset to be pretty grating—but if we are being completely objective, how can we even compete?

The only reason they would win is under the guise of "popularizing and developing soccer" or something along those lines, specifically targeting those smaller regions. It's essentially a way to jumpstart development for facilities, boost stadium attendance, and expand the footprint toward the East and such.

Sure, we have the official stamps of approval from the government and mayors, but let's be real: money talks, and when it comes to the Italians, the cash flow is never really in question. You're looking at guaranteed sell-out crowds, top-tier stadiums, and massive popularity; plus, being World Champions provides plenty of leverage for their selection. But again, I'll say it: money makes the world go round...

Man, yeah, they’ve got the edge there. Money is money, and honestly, I think they're going to win it. Maybe Markec pulled some strings with Platini after all. 😉

Kimberly Barnes2 said:If we're talking about picking the absolute highest quality bid, then the Italian candidacy is clearly the winner here. And honestly, who even gives a damn if some single club gets relegated to a lower division? If those kinds of rigid regulations were actually enforced back home in the States, I don't think a single professional franchise would even be standing today.

So, there you have it—that's my take on the superior candidate.

I mean, is it even worth mentioning that Platini is a total legend for an AC Milan icon?

But seriously, what exactly makes the Italian bid so much better? It feels like a total joke of a setup with stadiums that are in worse shape than ours.

Still, I have a feeling they’re going to pull it off. My uncle was hanging out with Zvone about 6 or 7 months ago, and Zvone was telling him it’s basically a done deal—that the Italians just need the EP to fund all their stadium renovations and new builds.

And even having Platini on board isn't going to change much regarding the EP itself. I mean, I’m glad he won, though; maybe he can finally shake things up and get that old man moving a little.

So, I just saw on ABC that they supposedly "swapped some samples" over in Madrid. Honestly? It feels like a total coincidence to me. Just seems too convenient, doesn't it?

Marc Spagnuolo basically said that what happened with Dominic was just an "error laboratory" situation. Honestly, I don't give a damn about any of that excuses—what kind of shady, low-life nonsense is that even supposed to be? It’s unbelievable.
