Enters Sebastian Vettel
So, you lose control, go wide, floor it, fight the steering wheel, and then somehow use that "loss of control" as an excuse to dive right back onto the racing line, cutting off the driver behind you. And suddenly, once you've blocked them, you magically regain perfect control—even though just seconds earlier, you were supposedly struggling with grass on your tires.
Is this what you mean?
I guess this is exactly like today's situation: a leader loses control when they aren't in a direct fight, then rejoins the track and immediately jumps back into contention by cutting off the driver chasing them. At the moment Max went wide, Max Verstappen and Kimi Räikkönen were actually in a direct battle; I mean, Kimi was right on his gearbox when he went off, not even a second and a half behind him. 🍿
Of course Lewis Hamilton didn't get penalized back then, and I suppose he wouldn't have been penalized today either if the roles were reversed. ☕
There wasn't even any contact; he just spun out on his own 🙏
But honestly, I don't think the tire situation matters much here. Lewis Hamilton was only 5.2 seconds behind, and since he pitted a lap earlier, Ford had a really quick stop, so Lewis came out just 0.8 seconds behind Sebastian Vettel 🤣
Richard Walker38 said:It seemed pretty clear that Leclerc was faster than Vettel throughout the entire race. I guess Ferrari really should have adjusted to that pace and used their strategy to put Leclerc ahead so he could actually try to make something happen during the rest of the race. I'm not saying he would've reached the podium, but he definitely would've been in the mix if they hadn't wasted the race behind Vettel.
It seems quite obvious that you don't really know what you're talking about and probably didn't even watch the race properly.🎉 Maybe take a look at the first half of the race before offering a comment.
I suppose I should mention the Rams. Maybe they'll pull it off this season, though it’s hard to say for sure.Maybe I’m just being optimistic, but I really have high hopes for the Saints this season. I guess we'll see how it unfolds. The Patriots— The Chiefs are looking quite formidable this season, I suppose. It feels like they might actually pull it off this year.
