We should probably ask bluecyclist64 what the term is for when you finally recover from media brainwashing. 🐔

A little bit of what’s going down lately with Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis.

That actually reminds me of this one joke.

A medical board is checking in on patients at a psych ward to see if they're actually cured.

So this guy walks into the office where the commission is sitting, dragging a chemical straitjacket on a leash. One Commission member asks him what on earth he's doing. "- Oh, just taking Fifi out for a walk,"

The board members just look at each other, shrug, and sign off saying the treatment needs to continue.

Fast forward a year. Same thing happens. A guy walks in dragging a chemical straitjacket on a leash. The Commission member asks him what's up. "- Honestly? I'm just bored, so I'm walking this thing on a leash. Can't you tell?"

The board members exchange looks, nod, and write down: "Patient successfully cured, recommend immediate discharge."

The guy walks out of the office, grinning all the way down the hallway, pulling that chemical straitjacket along on its leash, and as soon as he turns the corner, he looks back totally stoked and yells: "- Hey, Fifi, did you see how we totally played them!"

Arthur Sanders74 mentioned somewhere that Ron DeSantis is basically a "small fish" compared to the heavy hitters in politics—we're talking about values around $350,000, which is honestly a joke for a presidential run. Because of that, he's gonna have to play ball with those massive donors, which is just a fancy way of saying he'll have to sell out.

And man, you can already see it starting to happen.
https://twitter.com/prem_thakker/sta...Cz2dSb_pAuAAAA
Prem @prem_thakker

Immediately after Elon Musk hosted Ron DeSantis on Twitter for his presidential announcement, DeSantis signed off on a bill that protects SpaceX from any liability if workers get killed because their rockets blow up.

SpaceX hit up state officials at least five different times to push this bill through.

The Senate passed it 39-0 and the House went 107-5. Just a totally bipartisan effort to hand out immunity to the richest guys' little pet projects.
Musk's SpaceX has dumped $8 million into lobbying since 2020 and handed over $1 million to both parties during the 2022 cycle alone.

This is such a perfect example of how "donations" and "lobbying" actually work. It's basically just hardcore corruption designed to serve the ultra-wealthy, and it's exactly how this whole "democratic" election system functions.

Whether he can actually overtake Donald Trump in the primaries is anyone's guess. But I bet my life he'll be swimming in insane amounts of cash from "donors," and all the media outlets will be right there behind him—just like they were for the Democrats and the RINOs back in 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022.

The real kicker? By doing this, he's basically setting himself up for political irrelevance if he fails to beat Trump. See, those wealthy donors are going to demand he liberalize his policies. It's the same crowd as the Democratic donors, and we've already seen how that playbook works with stuff like Bud Light and, more recently, Target.

He won't be in a position to say no. He'll be forced to pivot hard on the very policies that got him voters in the first place, otherwise, he won't have the funds to fight Trump. That means he'll end up alienating his own base. If—and when—he loses to Trump, he'll be left completely stranded, facing the wrath of his Florida voters without a single donor in his corner.

You're looking at a transition from a decent Governor to a slippery RINO in less than a year, complete with the whole baggage that comes with it.

That moment when even an American liberal woman wouldn't swallow the NAACP's political propaganda, yet people on this forum—probably some random guy from Canada—will eat it right up! 🤣

If only Nagurskiov's big hero DeSantis could just go ahead and remodel the entire rest of the federation to look exactly like Florida.

You take a decent governor and in less than a year, you end up with this limp-wristed Rinos type, complete with the whole starter pack.

Three hundred and twenty thousand.

So Ron Meatball DeSausageis is going to be the perfect candidate for Bubimir, Gunsica, and maybe even that third thing that’s been pretty quiet since the Durham report. 😉 😁

And hey, the Democrats have their own runner for the race too. What do you think of Dan Goldman? You know, the upcoming representative for the working class, minorities, the downtrodden, and all the other unfortunate souls out there. 🤣

If only he could wrap things up politically "successfully" just like Michael Bloomberg! 🙂 🙂

And just like that, we’re watching Ron DeSantis spiral straight down into corporate sewage at record speed.
I can't believe we're actually seeing this play out! Seriously, the drama in the news lately is just wild. So, I was digging through some stuff and honestly, it feels like everything is shifting right under our feet. You see all these big moves happening at Fox News, especially with how they’ve been handling the whole Trump situation and that massive settlement with Dominion Voting Systems. It’s absolute madness! And don't even get me started on the political maneuvering. Watching how things are moving between the Republicans and Democrats—it’s like a high-stakes soap opera. One minute you think you know where someone stands, and the next, there’s a huge pivot. Like, what happened with Tucker Carlson? That was a total bombshell. It really makes you wonder who is actually pulling the strings behind the scenes at these big media giants. It's just crazy how much influence people like Rupert Murdoch have over the whole vibe of the election cycle. You look at the way certain candidates are being pushed or sidelined, and it feels less like organic politics and more like a carefully choreographed dance. Anyway, I'm just rambling now, but man, stay tuned because this ride is getting bumpy!
So, get this—the kingmaker himself, Rupert Murdoch, played host to Ron DeSantis out at his massive ranch in California. While they were hanging out, Murdoch basically gave him the green light, telling him straight up: "Fox News will support your bid for president in 2024." Talk about a power move!
David Maylon
I don't even know what to say about this one. Just... wow. Total madness.

The Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, and the big boss at Fox News, Rupert Murdoch, vs. former US President Donald Trump. It’s getting wild out there!
Big news dropping—Rupert Murdoch has finally picked a lane in the Republican race ahead of the 2024 elections! Looks like he’s officially throwing his weight behind Ron DeSantis this time around.

So, according to Vanity Fair, Rupert Murdoch actually hosted the Governor of Florida at his Bel Air vineyard back in 2020. They had dinner, and he basically gave him the green light, promising that Fox News would have his back if he decided to go for the presidency in 2024. Crazy, right?

Earlier this year, you could really see the shift happening. Fox basically started putting a soft ban on Donald Trump and instead leaned way harder into Ron DeSantis.

Plus, while all that was going down, the whole Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit was hanging over the network like a dark cloud. It basically forced them to try and wash their hands of the entire election mess, which meant they had to start steering clear of Donald Trump.
...

Honestly, if you want to see how Fox News finally tried to shut the door on the whole Trump 2020 election denial mess, look no further than them firing Tucker Carlson and paying out that absolutely insane settlement to Dominion Voting Systems. That was the big one.

Look, when you see Donald Trump actually agreeing to show up at a CNN Town Hall—especially after they've been at each other's throats for so long—it really drives home how much he’s drifted away from Rupert Murdoch. It’s like, the bridge isn't just burned; it's totally gone.

The whole thing with Tucker Carlson basically boils down to this: Murdoch wanted him gone because he couldn't keep him on a leash. While he was at it, he used the firing as a convenient excuse to settle that massive lawsuit with Dominion regarding those rigged voting machine claims. And get this—who holds the major stakes in both Fox News and Dominion? BlackRock. It’s like BlackRock paid itself to dump Carlson just to clear the path for Ron DeSantis. Molto Sympatico.

Plus, Tucker Carlson is still stuck under contract with Fox News until 2025—yeah, basically right past the election. So, he can't just hop over to some other network. The endgame here? It’s obviously about getting rid of Donald Trump. He’s totally out of control, and let’s be real, he probably has a massive pile of unpaid bills from the last six years. If he wins, he'll be in the perfect position to collect on those with interest. And you know him—he lives for making deals.

Even if Ron DeSantis loses the primaries, he could always throw his weight behind a Democrat just to siphon some votes away from Donald Trump. It’d be a perfect way to stay relevant once he inevitably loses his seat as Governor of Florida. But honestly? It looks like the Republicans are just going to hand those primary votes straight to DeSantis on a silver platter. Once that happens, it's game over. At this point, it doesn't even matter who actually wins—the only thing that matters is making sure it isn't Trump.

And just like I predicted...
So, get this—Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis is out here making moves again. This past Friday, he basically swore up and down that he’s going to try and tear apart Donald Trump's big First Step Act. You know, that bipartisan criminal justice reform bill that actually tried to do something right for once? It was supposed to help lower recidivism rates, give non-violent inmates a real shot at shortening their sentences, and cut back on those crazy mandatory minimums. Now, Ron DeSantis wants to go in and undo all of it. Crazy, right?

During the campaign, they’re gonna promise to pass laws making pornography available in elementary schools—just like how the Governor of Illinois, Pritzker, acts sometime. They'll probably go even further and say it has to be physically sitting on the shelves for all ages. I mean, hey, first graders can't exactly reach the top shelves anyway, right? And God forbid we deny kids the "education" they're supposedly going to need most in life!
https://www.yaf.org/news/illinois-to...exual-content/

PS: Goldman? A billionaire acting like he’s some champion for the working class? Please. It means Bernie Sanders is totally washed up. Just completely spent. Now we’re stuck hoping "defund the police" actually took off like crazy in his neck of the woods.

A bit too simplistic, don't you think?

Yeah, I know all about that money trail between Fox News and Dominion Voting Systems. It’s just shouting into the void at this point—though there are a few folks on this forum who were practically throwing a parade over it... I guess some people just need a little win to feel alive. 🤣 Well, good for them, the poor souls.

There’s plenty more where that came from, but let's save that for another thread.

Sure, Bernie Sanders is yesterday's news, and honestly, he's lost the plot. As for AOC, she's gone full corporate sellout. Then you've got Goldman—relatively young, definitely hasn't lost his wits, just a slick Manhattanite... basically tailor-made to play nice with those hawks and wasps.

The guy in that link isn't a Donald Trump supporter—he's actually one of Joe Biden's people.

True. I didn't mean that specifically, it just felt like a connection since Klo uses a Democrat to try and smear Ron DeSantis, despite Klo being MAGA himself.
It’s going to be an interesting ride... though Trump will likely come out on top. It doesn't seem like Ron DeSantis is quite cut out for playing dirty.
Anyway, 🍿

The primaries are actually going to get spicy 😁

Did you catch Donald Trump's reaction to Ron DeSantis making his big announcement on Twitter?
What an absolute legend. 🤣🙏

Right before I stepped away for a bit, a buddy of mine shot me a message explaining that Ron DeSantis is basically just a puppet for those massive billionaire donors, so I'm honestly just sitting back waiting for the general public to finally realize what's actually going on.
In that sense, Donald Trump is kind of like Bernie Sanders. He’s got all those small donations coming in from regular folks, which makes him the guy most likely to actually do something for the little guy, as unbelievable as that might sound.

What an absolute clown show. 🤣🙏

Before I took a break, a colleague sent me a message explaining that DeSantis is essentially just a front for wealthy donors, so I'm just waiting for the general public to catch on.
In that sense, Trump is actually similar to Bernie Sanders; he relies on a massive volume of small donations from everyday people, making him—as unbelievable as that sounds—the one most likely to actually do something for the little guy.

To me, they both feel like natural disasters, though I'm not a "little guy" living in the USA, but rather in Europe.
I don't follow it closely, but once things really start heating up, I'll enjoy watching the fallout.

I haven't watched that either... Ron DeSantis is honestly repulsive. I haven't seen much of Donald Trump lately, so maybe he could tolerate him if it's just a short stint.

Anyway 🍿

I feel like I was saying this last year, maybe right before the primaries. I've been skeptical about DeSantis for a long time now, and even though my better half really wanted me to vote for him during the gubernatorial race—I didn't (she did). He just lost all credibility for me after that whole cozy routine with Joe Biden; it was painfully obvious they were on the same team.

He’s been a great governor so far, sure, but I think he’ll be a terrible president. Think along the lines of George W. Bush. It's the same money behind Bush, then Obama, I'm pretty sure even Joe Biden, and now it's all behind Ron. Which, honestly, should be good news for you—because Ronnie Meatball is going to have to flip his entire platform.

As for that annoying, low-life parrot 🤮, he's dead to me... ☕

Not likely to like him. Just like I never liked Bush.
He can change his policy all he wants, but I know who he truly is at his core. As my sister Bernardica would say, "Let him rot!"

By the way, things look nasty in Mexico. Is it possible things are heating up with Russia there? Sergey Lavrov’s recent statement almost makes it sound like a certainty.

But you were all about Obama, even though Bush and Obama are basically two sides of the same coin...

I don't really follow what's happening in Mexico—what's the deal there?

I mean, the North America are always a powder keg. Things could kick off in Mexico and then spread to Canada or North Mexico before you even realize what happened...
