It looks great, and there's nothing like it online. Got one? 🎉
feralmoose32, those photos look amazing. Post the recipes when you have a sec🎉
Sure thing😉
The third version is definitely the easiest and tastes best.
Since Nutella and those little wafer snacks both have hazelnut, I realized I don't actually need to add any extra hazelnuts.
It’s overkill.
So I just winged it
I think this was for a 10-inch pan.
5 eggs, 7 tablespoons sugar, 0.5 cup oil, 1.5 cups milk, 8 tablespoons flour—call it about 9.5 tablespoons.
1 packet vanilla sugar and some vanilla extract.
I baked it all at once and sliced it into three parts, so basically twice.
I soaked it well using a mix of 1 tablespoon boiled sugar syrup, 0.5 cup rum, and 1.5 cups water.
For the cream: 0.5 kg mascarpone, 0.5 kg Nutella, and about 10 oz of crushed hazelnut wafers.
Ganche: that's plenty to decorate the whole cake.
Take 10 oz chocolate, whatever butter or margarine you usually use, and 2/3 cup heavy cream for the topping.
Melt the chocolate and butter together, take it off the heat, then stir in the cream. Mix it well and let it cool, then give it a quick whip.
Can't be easier than that. Decorate however you want.😉
Here they are. The second one was huge because I used three batches, and this last one was my first attempt—it wasn't even for a birthday, I was just testing out some new piping bags.🤣
