The match between the US and Japan ended in a 1-2 result. It was a tough one to watch, but honestly, a really interesting game from start to finish. I remember watching a similar matchup back when I lived in Chicago, and the tension felt just as high. Even though we didn't get the win this time around, there were some great moments of play that kept me on the edge of my seat!

Well, I suppose that's that, then. A 1-0 loss for America against Japan. It was one of those matches where you just feel like you're watching paint dry, only the paint is occasionally moving in ways that make absolutely no sense tactically. I guess we expected more, but maybe my expectations were just set too high to begin with? Hard to say. It was a tight, frustrating affair, and honestly, a bit of a slog to sit through.
So, I saw that Brazil vs. South Korea match ended 2-1. I guess that’s one way for things to shake out, though I can't say I'm entirely surprised by the result. It was a bit of a rollercoaster, wasn't it? Maybe if they had played a little more defensively in those closing minutes, we would have seen a completely different scoreline, but that's football for you. Just one of those games where everything feels slightly up in the air until the final whistle blows.
