Hello,
I have an external monitor plugged into my laptop, and right from the start, it took about 10 to 15 minutes for the laptop to even realize anything was connected. It was quite frustrating—I spent those 15 minutes clicking the display settings icon over and over, hoping for a response, until suddenly, for no apparent reason, it finally recognized the monitor...
It seemed to work fine for a few days, but then things started acting up whenever I woke the computer from sleep mode. Sometimes the system would wake up only to revert the image back to the laptop screen. Every single time, I’d find myself clicking that display setting icon for another 15 minutes before the image would miraculously return to the external monitor...
I eventually gave up on using sleep mode altogether, but now the exact same issue is happening even after a standard cold boot...
Essentially, for some reason, the laptop loses its connection to the external monitor, while the monitor itself displays "no video input" followed by "entering sleep mode"...
I suspect the monitor might be entering its own sleep mode, causing the two devices to lose sync...
...but I am at a bit of a loss as to what steps I should take next...
P.S. This issue only occurs when using an HDMI cable; everything remains perfectly stable when I use a VGA connection...
